  1. Got the carpets from A*p**o, made templates out of old news papers. Half a day DIY cost less than Rs. 8K for an SUV They had a nice coffee brown to match my interior (multiple colors available)

    BMW E30 enthusiasts?

Wow this is the exact car i was referring to glad someone has really looked after it, remember being fascinated by the as a school boy kid.
  3. Quite true One of my uncles had an issue with the same company few years back when they were assembling Rhino (Indian crap) I told him to go for a used Jap instead he went ahead for wanting a brand new with Warranty. Car was most of the time at the work shop attending to numerous issues Drove and handled like shit Ultimately it was sold for 50%-60% of the cost after about 3-4 years Had he brought a Jap it would have been less troublesome and also would have given him a better resale (small profit)
  4. Car is sold at Rs. 5.0 Mn. cant a business keep a margin of at least 10% Warranty, after sales, servicing facilities add cost
  5. 6-8 weeks should be no issue on a new car Ensure the car is dry, do not wash and park, water in the brakes, engine, could result in oxidization/ corrosion. No point in starting for few minutes if you are not going to run the vehicle for at least 2-3 km to get it in to running temperatute Ensure all the accessories are switched off there will be a slight discharge on the battery as most cars use little power even switched off. I would be more concern of rats getting in as this is common in vehicles parked in enclosed placed for a longer period.
  6. Just attended to 25K service, no issues car has been very reliable Only a broken cup holder where you get the spring loaded half circle, not cars fault but children have been playing with the thing Mostly used by my wife returns 15kmpl (40:60, highway:urban) average speed around 30kmph

    BMW E30 enthusiasts?

There was on E21 320 2dr owned by one of my fathers friend wonder what happened to the car
  8. Bought it recon 2 years used in Japan
  9. Same issue with my car battery capacity went down from 100 to 70% within 1 1/2 years of use in SL, within first 4 years from date of manufacture. Apart from the batter issue car does not have any other issues and was very economical on day to day running. Sadly (but thankfully) a bus driver decided to help me write it off
  10. And X-Trails

Google man there are plenty of information
  12. what is the guarantee that you're gonna get when you import, vehicle exporters in Japan are Sri Lankans tampering happens mostly there Unless you were thinking of getting one down through agents, unfortunately they don't do Wagon R now because of the duty hike.
  13. Get one already imported if you really need one
  14. There are plenty of unregistered in the market at the old price don't expect to benefit from the increase.
  15. I had a GP5 some time back this is what it did so i don't believe there is anything wrong with your vehicle On highway it should do around 22-24 kmpl @ 100 kmph
  16. Used Allion or an Axio unregistered Alternatively sell the permit and buy a good used car for Rs. 5.5 - 6.0 Mn. plenty of 4-5 year old cars less than 50K km at bargain prices
  17. When you pump 92 if the engine does not knock, no change in power or economy your car does not need high octane Just go through your manual and check the fuel requirement if you are not sure Regular fuel in Japan is 89 octane or above I'm sure your vitz will be ok with 92
  18. This can happen to 95 as well, poor quality had nothing to do with octane rating
  19. As far as i know CRV is currently manufactured in Thailand for RHD models Whether you get it from Australia or via agents it will be manufactured Thailand There will be differences in the specs as they are market specific And the warranty and the delivery time
  20. I suggest to get the check up done with the agent for the peace of mind. You can always request the seller for it if the deal is to happen. After all you are paying good money running in to couple of millions. If the seller is genuine they will agree if not look else where there are plenty of cars around
  21. I know of a Prius 3rd gen which has covered over 250k km with routine maintenance
  22. Purchase price of a hybrid is more than that of the equivalent ICE in most of the countries so it does not make sense to buy the hybrid unless you do high mileage to recover the extra spent from fuel. High depreciation is also a fact. However in SL there is (or was) significant tax advantage in favour of hybrids which resulted in the market getting flooded. People bought them not for the fuel economy but the low purchase price.
  23. And they will be replaced by some other fellow, no point of blaming the car for the mentality of the driver In fact compared to Alto or any other Indian crap, Wagon R was streets ahead with comfort and safety features. It is unfortunate that the lower end of the market now will need to be settled for less.
  24. No tax reductions as per the Gazette notice from the finance ministry Tax will be Rs. 1.5 Mn. or Rs. 1,750 per 1cc which ever is higher Non hybrid 1000 cc will continue to be taxed at Rs. 1.75 Mn.
  25. No tax reductions as per the Gazette notice from the finance ministry Tax will be Rs. 1.5 Mn. or Rs. 1,750 per 1cc which ever is higher Non hybrid 1000 cc will continue to be taxed at Rs. 1.75 Mn.
