  1. Mate, whats the maximum fuel efficiency you achieved so far? I saw in couple of review they said it does 25kmpl on highway around 100kmph, but would like to know for sure. Also, can you get 20kmpl on a situation like office traffic where we won't have to stay longer without moving but which include lot of braking and accelerating?
  2. Not sure about repairs, but once I gave my Chery QQ for service (I had no time to attend myself that day) and they were done it pretty bad. Interior was not clean enough and the body wash was not perfect. Never went there again.
  3. Good mutual understanding. I sometimes turn off the ac by myself (can't trust my wife with that), or the next best, lower the gear to 2nd and rev to 4k, 5k so other will look like wtf
  4. I did. You should memorize this too. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=douchebag
  5. One of my friends try to save fuel on this way and he finally ended up replacing his break pads sooner than before.
  6. Confirmed. Not sure about the thickness but there are places like that. I usually noticed them once I encounter and skip those places.
  7. Don't be a jerk. 100kmph is a good speed and stick to that. At the end this is not autobahn.
  8. Its okay given that she knows what shes doing. Otherwise if something fails she will show it to a 'makabass' who then will be like "OMG WTF, මේකෙ කාරෙකෙන් බාගයක් ඇන්ජිම නෙ " (translate: It's a Nissan but I haven't seen this engine )
  9. It will go like a jet nah C'mon, are you trying to sell a skyline for a lady?
  10. At least cars go faster, I hate when 3wheels staying on the middle of the road and sticking to 30kmph with earplugs on for the honks.
  11. Da fuq? Oh cmon not another Bajaj on the street
  12. Makes sense Indeed its a problem, but I doubt whether the major culprits are emissions of vehicles and car manufacturers. Thanks! And my dad owned a Bluebird too but not sure about the econ. What I mentioned about the recent Sunnys and Bluebird Sylphys which are much familiar within SL. Only an idiot will hate 350z, 370zs and GTRs
  13. Why do you even try to compare a SUV hybrid's "fuel economy?". It was designed to gain more performance while preserving "some" fuel. (especially in cold whether) And thats what I mentioned in the above topic about reusing the energy that is wasted. And forget that save the planet, save the trees marketing hypes. They are just like "Don't print this email to save trees" while clearing out 100s of acres of forests for development projects:p What I'm saying is that, fuel will be over.. sooner or later. So is there any other alternative that we can think of? (now god, anybody please don't post links to wind powered cars )
  14. In my opinion, whats wrong in saving the energy wasted by the engine and reusing them later? I don't get this hatred about hybrids mostly in AL forums. (but yes, we have a high vote count for the poll for 'yes' to hybrids:p) Yes this is a new technology and there may be failures (like Nissan couldn't build any family car with fuel efficient engines yet:D), but for a fact we know that we cannot live indefinitely rely on gas (at least our children) so we need alternatives. Its pretty crazy to see status messages like "drive a hybrid, i need gas" unless you're a old jerk who will die in 5,10 years. (no offense) We will have many more companies investing on hybrids in future, so I believe yes, it will be the future.
  15. wow.. I was able to get rid of my sleepiness due to this thread. (studying for an exam) btw, thanks for the informative thread. It's good to know that such things are there.
  16. LOL:D Many people get this converted into Diesel to save fuel. My friend has a converted one and it gives him 9/10 city and 12+ long distance.

    Fuel Efficiency

Vehicle : Honda civic ES8 Transmission : MT Engine Capacity : 1493CC Fuel : Euro 3 KM per litre : Average around 13.6kmpl (20km city, 40km highway - Office travel - City figures I am guessing is like 10, 11) Max did so far: 14.28kmpl (Mixed driving in city and outstation) Based on distance driven/ fuel spent. Changing gears below 2000, (below 2500 for sure) Highway at 3000rpm (100kmph)
  18. Lol.. on a second thought I think you are right. (I was driving at that time so couldn't look at it much clearer)
  19. There is a gold one I saw last week near W.A. Silva road, wellawatta. I think u missed it.

    Tyre Prices

    Yesterday, a GT radial dealer quoted me 13000/= for 185/70 R14. After discount, his price was 9600/=. Currently I use Bridgestone Turanza Indonesian came from the previous owner. I see autodrome quoting: 185/70 R14 B250 T/L - 13,944.00 185/70 R14 AR10 T/L - 15,960.00 Any other suggestions?
  21. This totally depends how you drive. My ES8(manual) does 11 in Colombo where some says they only get 9.
  22. Is there any other payment type other than this to import vehicles?
  23. Have you tested this in Highway?
  24. Thanks mate, yes you are right.
