  9. yup seems like they were trying to make it look edgy and sexy both at the same time...never gonna work...it just ended up looking like a bastard lovechild of the GTR and the current Z...
  10. yeah it looks more like a facelift rather than a whole new model doesn't it....btw i'm a big fan of the 240z too

  15. "Pajero", in Spanish, is "a person who masturbates". And Buick's Canadian version of the LaCrosse is called "Allure" purportedly because "LaCrosse" is slang among young Québecois for, you guessed it: wanking.
  16. hmmm american magazine picking an american car as the winner...coincidence? I've always liked corvettes, but i don't think the result is fair,as they are judging the best "supercar" it's true that performence wise the zr1 is better, but i'm afraid to say in my opinion it lacks that certain something that makes a supercar a "supercar",same goes for the GTR,it's a tecnical marval but it doesn't arouse one's passion like when we see a ferrari(and the price tag is a little low as well to be supercar)but I don' think it deserves 4th place,it has to come atleast 3rd...the porche is an excellent drivers machine but getting to be rather bland with the iconic 911 look continuing....for me the winner is the 599 with it's mixture of tecnical genius and drop-dead gorgeous looks...just my opinion
  17. 2 superchargers,1600bhp and nitrous =
  18. Don my mate,i guess i was wrong to impose my opinion upon others, whether i put seat belts on my oldies is entirely up to me(as it is not required by law)...still it's good to have a healthy arugument init? just to clarify and avoid being further unpopular,i wear seat belts in all my new cars and urge my passengers to do the same... P.S-sorry to hear about your friends..
  19. I once drove one for about a mile, and it was pure crap, the ride was awful, and the engine non responsive and if you look closely you'll spot major irregularities in the body work...these are only for posers, not for real enthusiasts i think all A's came with twin carbs, the replicas will mostly have single carbed ones from the cambridge...
  20. source-Wikipedia The MGA is a sports car produced by MG division of the British Motor Corporation from 1955 to 1962. The MGA replaced the older T-type cars and represented a complete styling break from the older vehicles. The car was officially launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show of 1955. It was replaced by the MGB when production ceased in July 1962. The design dates back to 1952 when MG designer Syd Enever created a streamlined body for George Philips' TD Le Mans car. The problem with this car was the high seating position of the driver because of the limitations of using the TD chassis. A new chassis was designed with the side members further apart and the floor attached to the bottom rather than the top of the frame sections. A prototype was built and shown to the BMC chairman Leonard Lord. Lord turned down the idea of producing the new car as he had just signed a deal with Donald Healey to produce Austin-Healey cars two weeks before. Falling sales of the traditional MG models caused a change of mind and the car, initially to be called the UA-series, was brought back. As it was so different from the older MG models it was called the MGA, the "first of a new line" to quote the contemporary advertising. There was also a new engine available so the car did not have the originally intended XPAG unit but was fitted with the BMC corporate B-Series type allowing a lower bonnet line.
  21. yes it was the car used as a bench mark for the top gear british leyland challenge, with the stig driving one and others trying to better him....JC said it was specially chosen for introducing reliable motoring to britain... here's the vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0eB6xeoQ9Y
  22. c'mon man.... that one hurt a little bit actually I AM a big fan of the whole "belt" thing,I just don't want them in cars they don't belong... which are very few...just my opinion
  23. I reccomend the accord,it has all your requirements, comfortable, average fuel consumtion, resale value is good than the rest and I think you'll find it rather less expensive than the rest, and you get the tremendous honda reliability as well,on the downside i think it's the ugliest of the four, you won't get the image you get with audi,Vw or even the subaru,so if you can live with the looks i think it's the best car for you...
