  1. Looking for an old iPod with a mono LCD. Will pay for an example is working condition, cosmetics condition need not be perfect as long as there is no real damage.

@bogzy went to look at two from w0w, both were crap. people in SL have no idea what "working condition" means.

haha.. to that i agree ! Thank god our sellers dont frequent ebay :) Paypal would have their work cut out.

  2. My car makes that noise every morning (only audible to me when driving parallel to a parapet wall or similar), but it goes away after I use the brakes a few times.
  3. Honestly, I pump from the Pelawatta station nearly every weekend, and I have never had that issue. And I mean 1 or 2k worth of fuel, not a full tank obviously. And since you have no clue as to where your fuel indicator should be after pumping anything less than a full tank, I suggest you figure that out first . Also, if your car has the digital mileage meter, I'm sure the two trip meters can be used to compare two different sheds.
  4. You know you're a glutton when your wrist goes numb from the weight of the load your plate is carrying :/

  5. Didn't someone on the forum purchase a CRX with the intent of de-ricing/sympathetic restoration?
  6. I have to top up my car's petrol every 5 days, maybe the fuel tank has a leak! But yeah getting back on topic, it's quite normal for periodic top ups. Plus, your compressor has a pressure switch which prevents the clutch from engaging if the refrigerant pressure is too low (experienced it quite a few times with the old van _it_ had a leaky a/c refrigerant circuit), so there's no real worry about the compressor running sans lube.
  7. Yeah that makes sense.
  8. Followed a red 302 Alfa 156 all the way home.

no no, not his home, my home. it turned into the lane adjacent to the one my house is on.

  10. Whats with the tiny door mirrors?
  11. Neither. Get a VDJ200.
  12. F1 won't be F1 without open wheels. That looks cool but it's just a topless Group C racer. Now if they make that into a LeMans racer, thats a whole different story.
  13. Battery, 7.2v nimh, the kits come with a normal brushed motor and basic brushed motor controller which is more than enough for casual fun. You can get about 15-20 minutes run time out of one battery pack, and they're not all that expensive either. Keep that as it is, Tamiya kits don't have any interior detail at all. The kit below should make you happy.
  14. He means the 2nd generation of the 240, call it a face lift if you will. I believe they were released around 2006 2004 and continued till early/mid 2007, and they have LED taillights and projector headlights as standard and not retrofitted, as quite a few are nowadays, and optional projector headlights. And you confused him, I think he meant the 1NZ-FE. Edit: Had to call up a mate who owns one such Allion to verify the data.
  15. We should start an A/L rc club of some sort. Tamiya kits aren't all that expensive and there are chinese radios to be bought for around 5k which will work fine. I prefer Tamiya because it involves building it yourself. The TT-01 kits come with a plethora of bodies, and the chassis accepts nearly any 1/10 scale on road body. The car in my signature is one such TT-01 I built, it's got a Skyline Z-Tune body and wheels from a Traxxas 4Tec. Light harness made by yours truly as well.
  16. Is it continuous or does it occur only when the car first starts moving?
  17. Like I told the other guy, I have 50 bucks and a lollipop.
  18. That actually works? I wanted to do that with the old 2C but they said they couldn't.
  19. Is there a 1st gen Lotus Esprit Turbo here in SL? A red one?

Another overhaul? I think back in the day the guy who owned it, tried to do something fancy & seized the engine.

      @md thats the one.

@thestig DO you mean the silver one with ugly bling wheels? Thats an S4 Turbo I think.

  20. Yeahhhhh... thats not going to work... so I guess regular external DVD + Dlink NAS + the LCD I use with the XB360
  21. Nooooo, if I am to become an Apple user everything has to match, including the drives and the NAS I'll be using :/
  22. It's a diesel, and the engine is fine. What we're having trouble with is locating cosmetics like exterior window trim and bits of the interior. I checked ebay but they don't have much, and I've been scouring the online forums whenever I get the chance, but with not much luck so far.
  23. I almost bought a new mac mini but I took an arrow to the knee realized it has no optical drive, so I'm not sure if I should go for an older model equipped with one instead. Your opinions?
  24. The best way to eat Nutella without making yourself sick, is with a tiny yogurt spoon, while watching Game of Thrones.

No but I usually take a tablespoon to it and my craving is satiated all too quickly. A yogurt spoon prolongs this till the end of the show.
