  1. I don't see what's wrong with B4's post to garner such hate.
  2. Uncle, you're correct. I only use the equipment for cleaning the car's body, the undercarriage I leave up to the professionals.
  3. If you continue to run the engine while it's overheating, it will eventually seize and you'll need to tear it apart. As a rule of thumb, the indicators on your dashboard are not to be ignored, especially the ones coloured in red. And if someone is so distracted that they "forget to see" the over temp indicator, then they're better off taking the bus.
  4. It's normal behaviour of the 1NZ-FE engine. Nothing to worry about, it does it to warm up the engine. The moment you put it into gear the revs settles down. Switching on your a/c does the same.
  5. I just use a water spray gun attached to my compressor. It's got a 500ml tank under the handle. I also have a gravity fed Iwata gun which can spray water too, but the other gun can handle much higher pressures.
  6. <3 the WIll VS, especially in its 180hp 6 speed form.
  7. Watching 'The Guard'. Fkn hilarious movie to watching while alone and having a small drinky poo.

damn thats pretty fast.. even if the torrent has a lot of seeders I can only reach max 60kbps. so to dl 700mb it takes at least 5-6hrs with my adsl. but still I think its reliable than dl managers and rar files.

  8. Yes we can. Our van was reg'd under my dad's name and I've called the insurance provider each time I've had an accident (only 3 times in 13 years mind). In my case, the provider was SLIC and their claims people weren't fussy about who was driving as long as the driver had a valid license. But I should mention, they didn't require a police report for any of my accidents.
  9. Well I was mostly jesting, since this isn't the first time fuel price hikes have been discussed ad nauseum. I'm simply saying there's no point in being angry about it when there's very little we can do to reverse the process, or prevent a similar event occurring again in the future. Call me a passive nihlist, if you will.
  10. Srsly, no point in arguing over spilt milk. What's done is done. Time to get our own back at all the sneering diesel owners imho.
  11. orly? Please, do elaborate.
  12. This price hike and the narrowing of the gap was inevitable. Better they did it now than later, when the deviation would probably have been even more. The GOSL has no choice but to align itself with the world fuel prices.
  13. Driver's side mirror just fell out for no reason.Pure wtf moment. Anyone know where I can get a new mirror cut?

  15. @VVTi when you tapped the gas a bit to roll forward a few feet when in traffic, did your Civic sort of lurch forward, or was it smooth? @reckless nope mine is one of the few YOM 2005 autos with fabric seats minus silver interior trim. And factory body kit to boot. I think I got lucky with this one. And in fact, it's the 141 Fielder I'm really interested in. I saw a very nice black example today in the parking lot opposite the Lakehouse.
  16. Crap, I wonder if bus fare will go up. On the other hand, I feel better about having sold our oil burner.
  17. Perhaps, but getting back to the subject, any idea if a CVT Axio can creep like Jagger my Vios?
  18. The best insurance company is the company which gives you the lowest premium and the highest payout with the least hassle. Your mileage may vary.
  19. Well what he wants to know are the differences between the various trims the Navara comes in, and the figures associated with it. But as always the community will suggest other viable options for the poster, which I believe is why come here to begin with. It's always good to have opinions from several different points of view.
  20. So I'm looking at Corolla Axios these days, and was wondering do the CVT trannies have the familiar "creep" of regular slushboxes? I have found it of immense use, especially when trying to ease out of boxed in situations with only inches to work with, and have come to the conclusion that it falls between the 2nd and 3rd tiers of Maslow's hierarchy of needs.
  21. Good gri Good grief, could you _be_ any more uninformed?
  22. I'm kind of facing the same issue myself. During the recent long weekend, my car rarely saw any long distance action, but did take several trips of 1-2km back and forth throughout the 4 days. The result of which was I had trouble starting on Wednesday morning and had to use a spare battery in parallel with jumper cables.
  23. I think VWVortex might be able to help you, he used to own a Bora a while back.
  24. You can use the same one you used last year if it's still valid and if you're doing it online. I did it for my van in 2010 with the 2009 green test report. Did the same with insurance for my car since my new provider isn't supported yet, but the old policy was still valid (expired in January). If you go to the RMV in person then they will ask you to renew the green test if was used for the previous renewal, regardless of if its still valid or not.
  25. I've been a PEO Tv user since 2009, and I've only experienced 3 major issues. Once, the ADSL died altogether, they came on the same day I reported it and fixed it. The next was when lightning took the router out last year, they came the next day and replaced it even though it was already a year past warranty expiration. Most recently was a drop in the bitrate despite the fact that the line condition was fine and everything was connecting at 3.5/128. They took a day and a half to fix this (reported Friday evening, fixed by Sunday). Other than these issues, I've been satisfied with the service, especially considering that my entire phone bill with _all_ the services comes to <5k a month. My only experience with Dialog TV is when I have to go stay at Thulhiriya, and then my friends and I play drinking games based on how often the picture blacks out.
