At the moment they are. But it's not obstructing the view (at least according to my knowledge). On a different note where did you get that Guage holder done? @Hyaenidae

I just want to know if Police can write me a ticket for having gauges on my dashboard. (I have 3 greddy gauges for some info). With this ongoing investigations against modifications, how would that affect me? Any opinion is welcome. TY

I have a Honda Integra 1987 came with an EW engine 1500CC. I'm planning to K Swap it probably for K20A motor. I would like to know the legal area of this swap. What are the requirements to properly update the book to mention the new engine number and how hard is the process?

Hi. I have a 1987 integra came with a 1.5L EW engine that's coming to end of it's life almost after 350K KMs. Instead of rebuilding the engine I thought of swapping for a different engine. As of now I have 2 candidate engines. One is D15B Single stage VTEC, other one is K20A3. The reason I decided to go with A3 because it's cheaper and it's already producing 160bhp (which is more than the double of my car currently produce). I wanna know which one would be the easier option to swap for this chassis and the availability of some parts such as standalone ECUs, custom mounts in Sri Lanka. I highly appreciate the help and advices you can give regarding this topic. TIA

Hi thanks for the response. Even I don't like to use LEDs and my preference is also to restore this car to it's former glory. In Sri Lanka I didn't find a single piece of lights or garnish. Even in eBay I found some, but since most of them are USDM, some interior parts doesn't match due to left hand drive. I ordered some OEM lights from eBay and waiting for them to come. If you have any place recommendations I would really appreciate where I can find a rear garnish.

I recently got my hands on a Honda Integra DA2. Car is in usable condition but front blinkers and rear tail lamps have slight damage (The rear garnish is sort of broken as well). I tried to find reconditioned lights for those but had no luck. Probably because it's an old car and bit rare. So is there any place that I can make custom Lights for the car? Preferred LEDs but anything would work for me.

help looking for a pop up headlight car
Azula9713 replied to knight gaming's topic in General Automotive
Hi, I am also eyeing for a pop-up headlights car. Currently looking at some Astinas and a couple of Honda Integra 87s. My worry is finding body parts. (AC vents, dashboard switches, power mirror power shutter switches, door handles etc). Is there any particular place that I can check for Astina parts or Integra 87 parts, or a place that can order them for me? TIA. -
Hi, sorry about reviving an old thread. I have recently bought a car and I'm wondering if there are any other places that sells body parts. I'm in need for some tail lights and a dashboard. Or do u know anyone that I can get in touch with to maybe bring them down to Sri Lanka. TIA

Hi, I am currently looking at a Skyline 250GT 2001 YOM online. Before purchasing, I want to know the common faults of this car and VQ engine (other than CD Player issues) and the parts availability in 2024. If you give me some pointers on what to look for and check (any specific details I should look for) that would be amazing. Also is it mandatory to use 95? Cause I have seen in some other foreign forums, that users have gotten better mileage and reliability through 91/92 fuel.

Alright guys I'm bumping this thread up, I'm also looking at a 250GT 2003 model. I wanna know the parts availability and average maintenance cost in 2024. Fuel consumption is not an issue cause I have a small car for those kinda trips. Thanks in advance.
-
Right. In that case, I think fixing up my current diesel engine would be much more easy. D*MO is a good place? Or should I stick to my known garage (They also do rebuilds and stuff and they gave me the cost estimation around 300K (parts included)?

Thank you for the reply. Do I have to get the permission and converted number before I do the swap or after it? Also I don't think I will be selling the vehicle anytime soon as I absolutely love the ride. I'm also considering just fully rebuilding the CD20 as well. Also another thing that crossed my mind was CD20T. Is it possible to convert a regular CD20 to CD20T during the rebuild? In my estimations full rebuild gonna cost me around 300K, and I think petrol swap would be cheaper. Since I'm new to this whole car scene I highly appreciate your opinion.

Hi, I'm thinking of doing a petrol swap for my Nissan SB-14 1996 with a CD20 Engine. Engine is at 285K on the clock and is under compression. Since there is no benefit of saving money on Fuel these days as both petrol and diesel cost the same, is it a good idea to swap for a petrol engine instead of rebuilding the CD20? If so what are good alternative engines for the car? Would GA15 (Engine of FB14) fit without much of a hassle? or any other good alternatives?
