  1. MANY HAPPY RETURNS OF THE DAY MAN, HOPE THE YEAR AHEAD WILL BE SUBARU AND KARTING FILLED YEAR
  2. i also had a time deciding from which one to get out of the above two , finally settled for a trooper due to following, 1) Fuel consumption is better in the troopie 2) and the isuzu diesel engines are much more reliable and long lasting compared to the Mistsubishi, ( other than the gemini engine ) 3) love the recaro seats as it gives good ride comfort on long distance journeys 4) Trooper is Slightly cheaper than the pajero personally ti like the rugged look of the trooper compared to the pajero , and i was very perticular about the color as i only wanted white , this is my 2 cents here is a pic of my troopie
  3. thanks a lot guys
  4. thanks a lot for your wishes guys
  5. Best thing to do is to put a 1300efi manual unit which you can hit 140 - 150 easily. as others pointed out it is not worth loking for a 5Spd box or the super charger i have never driven an auto mini, but in my 1000 manual i can hit about 115km/h in 3rd

    Isuzu Double Cab

machan go for it and those engines can take 350,000 - 400,000km's without a problem and very hardy and economical compared the others. i have a tropie with the 4JB1 2.8 intercooler turbo , and i use it as a daily runner , fully worth the money and personally feel all toyoya's and nissans are crazily over priced . i'm really suprised of the turning circle as it is almost the same or even better than the Vz-R .

    2010 Toyota Prado

it looks like more Chinese than Japanese .. my 2cents
  8. i fixed a original crash bar to a LJ79 landcruiser about two 2yrs back and still the jeep runs with that, so far have not been an issue . not sure about the legal part.
  9. Totally agree with you
  10. oohh yes this car is really fun to drive . the 1300 is quite powerfull for it's weight , and specially in Sl this is really Nippy( believe me a 1.8ltr proton Waja couldn't keep up in kataragama road
  11. After reading all the above comments i think i can agree mostly with shamishka on the alto , i went and had a look at the new alto and the sales team was really convincing about the safely, handling and the looks , infact they gave me a good offer for my Mini which i thought i will go for it , i was quite satisfied with the drivability. for the Mini there is no agent in SL, where as for the alto there is a good agent ( i only saw some bad comments about the accident repair center, which i will keep the speeds limited to avoid such situation ) i get a 2008 model car with the tradein for a 1993 model car by paying only few lakhs ,what ever it is, it's an english numbered newer car. since i have lot of suppliers coming from India , i feel it is a Plus point when i say " i came in my new 2008 alto to pick you up" so by the time i reach colombo from airport , the ice is broken . what do you guys think ? should i go for the alto or the wagon R ??
  12. he he any time mate we can have a PTF session . by the way i didnt see you at the rally were you there ??
  13. i think maruti performance and handling cannot be under estimated, i have driven one ( i would say thrashed it ) i was impressed what it can do . i'm sure in India there must be guys who have meddled with it and got more power. but adding fibre will not help anywhere.
  14. good organising by the commitee ( well done GMI and the team ) it was loads of fun , really enjoyed it .
  15. since the owner's business closed down, i guess he has no other car to run
  16. congrats madz !!!! join the club mate
  17. maybe factory fitted from japan
  18. Peri Dont under estimate your figures . i did a cruising run to kurunegala ( off kurunegala and some interior runnning as well ) and back around ( 2 revs), 13.8km/ltr ) i was so thrilled to see where the fuel gauge was when i reached colombo , so went to laughs fuel station in kohuwala , the result was 21 lts for 290 km's . not bad for a Vz-R isn't it ???( actually this the 1st time i got this figure and this is the first time i drove with patiance out of colombo ) i'm sure if i drive the same way to anuraddhapura and back i will hit 15. LOL

machan you get a very similar road in ampara/ padiyathalawa in the east , of the course the Road surface is not the best compared to this pic
