  1. Oh, you beat me to the question Stig.
  2. Which particular model is this?
  3. 'the' SLR - by 03/01/2012 the' Lamborghini - by 22/11/2012 There`s even the chance that 'the' Lamborghini might come to SL by 01/10/2012, but i would not count on it.
  4. Awesome stuff guys..! Very fine fuel consumption figures from those Corollas..!!

    Express-Way Updates

Yeah, there is the possibility of them cop idiots crashing if no proper driver training is given. Doubt they`ll bother about chasing anyone though, might be easier to radio someone to wait at the exit(s), it`ll be more like ‘crashed on the way to/from duty’ Makes sense to have a good fleet for highway patrol though.

    Express-Way Updates

LoL.. Dont think Subaru ever made a 2600cc Impreza..!.. I`m sure this Anesis aint quite a sprinter to get to 100 either. . Anyway, that reporter is quite impressed about the Impreza, good on him..
  7. - Fuel consumption - Maintenance cost - Spare parts availability Isn`t the thing with the Toyota badge the obvious under these criteria? Specially in the local context? Personally it`s the X-Trail all the way for me, but that`s based on the car itself, no external factors.
  8. Jeeez, it`s not that hard if your legs are not half paralyzed man..! Leyland bus drivers do all day everyday. I`ll keep driving something with a clutch until my left leg`s busted:D (or till I can afford a good DSG perhaps)
  9. I believe it works as a marker to indicate the front corner of the car to the driver. Personally I don`t see that being useful in a small car.
  10. Thanks for this mate.
  11. re-post.
  12. <quote> Thilina Athukorala won that event, Second place was the uncle in the delsol </quote> There was a class for Hybrids as well yea? Were there any actual 'performance enhanced' hybrids you know? And guys, please share top timings for each class if you`ve got them. Would be great if there`s any web link published by the organizers perhaps? thanks.
  13. Any pics for us souls living overseas please?

    My New Ride

Good stuff.. Is this RWD mate? We don't get the Crown over here, do they have a version with a manual gear box at all? The alternative we`ve got is the Aurion, which IMO sucks as a big car cause it`s FWD and Toyota does not offer a manual version at all..!
  15. On a side note, it sucks loosing money on car depreciation isn't it? Just don't feel like selling if you`ve bought band new eh? I recently figured that mine depreciated by around 6k dollars in 11 months.
  16. Dont think you`ll gain any financial advantage if you are planning on selling. Could be good for your own use though. If you must bring a car, sell it and bring down a Toyota car or some sort of a 4WD pickup truck. However, AFAIK, you can only benefit from a blue permit if the car is at least 5-6 years old (maximum depreciation for tax purposes). So if it`s only 1-2 yeas old, it`s almost the same as importing without a permit. How old is the car anyway?

    Electric Air Pump

I can see that you have searched for “air pump” on ebay, this returns pumps to inflate air beds etc.. What you need is a “12v air compressor”. Try this: http://www.ebay.com/sch/Tools-/631/i.html?_nkw=12v+air+compressor&_catref=1&_sop=15&_stpos=&_trksid=p3286.c0.m1538&gbr=1#ptm120798964507 What you basically need is a high volume compressor capable of handling at least up to 50psi (you won’t inflate your tires this much anyway). Otherwise you’ll have to wait forever for the big 4WD tires to be filled (depends on how much they are deflated though). There are high quality products like ARB, Warn, etc.., made specifically for 4WD use, but they do come at a premium price. I’ve got a good quality Chinese compressor capable of pumping 90 litres per minute. This volume is sufficient for a 4WD tire, it does inflate my car tire pretty quick. Other things to look for in a portable compressor are thermal overload protection and a cleanable air filter.
  18. That`s going to be a tight fit dropping in a v6 in there isn`t it (looks like the tiny stock motor itself is no having too much free room in that bay)? is this a popular conversion over there? Thought about cooling and the effect on handling mate? (nose getting lighter due to extra weight at back? couldn't that happen?)
  19. Gotta love that translation of SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) - "Kreeda Upakarana Vaahana"..!! Got to know that MPV translates as "Bahu Kaarya Vahana" as well.
  20. Bloody hell man, you really are obsessed with this thing eh? You know that there`s a Post Whoring thread to post any shit right? http://forum.autolanka.com/index.php?/topic/3353-post-whoring-part-2/page__st__1380 Since you like opening threads on Fd`s, Here`a my land speed record for ya:
  21. True that, traveled on the back jumper seat once ages ago, to Kurunagala (this is not the current model Prado though), it was literally a pain in the arse.!! Then again, those things hold their value well due to proven reliability, even over here..
  22. Hey irshadi2 buddy, why not post some Youtube vid`s on Civic FD? Your previous 'thread opening' habit was on FD`s yea? Why this shift to Prado? ;-)
  23. Nissan Pulsar - This is badged as Sunny in SL market. There`s mainly Jap imports as well as brand new imports available (some Singapore imports as well). Mazda 3 - Mazda Axela. Expect to pay anywhere between $22k-$30k for a 2008+ car. There`s a number of engine/spec variations as well with these, someone with better knowledge might provide more info. If i were you, I would fix a budget first and then look for a car/particular model. If you want to re-sell quickly or rent, better to go for something with a Toyota badge. It`s a different market over there. As for the price of Exotics, find the price in Aus and then multiply by about 2.5 Different tax structure, different car prices.
  24. +1 for that, personally haven't had a loan my whole life (until today though). Other thing is to try and get a healthy deposit organized and borrow the balance required. Easier to get into a loan that way, less liability, less interest payments. Might not be piratical all the time but that sure is doing within your limits.

    Engine Rpm

Well, all I can see is your`s idling a bit above 500 rpm. You mean to say that V6 chicken you out before hitting the limiter? C`mon man.!! (what`s the cut off limit on the V6 anyway?) All the 3.0+ V6`s i`ve driven (mainly jap mainstream motors) were not very eager to rev. Gotta love Honda motors for that, kinda bored with a revvy motor now though, me craving for Torque.!
