  1. Its less the 4WD/Turbo combo and more the fact that you have an Auto im guessing...
  2. On a serious note, can agree with the original poster on this 100%. Heck four months ago if you opened the paper it was a certainty that there would be at least a dozen ES series hondas up for sale. For the last two weeks have been keeping an eye out for one for one of my friends and you'd be lucky to find four cars a week now! The ES appears to have suddenly become VERY popular
  3. Really max? I thought the general perception was "BMW Owner - A**h**e"
  4. MG TC http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MG_TC#TC
  5. Happy birthday man, Hope you have a great day and a wonderful year ahead..
  6. That car is actually a E9 3.0 CSL.. the Famed "batmobile"
  7. Most are asking in the range of 4.5 to 6mill. Im guessing there is plenty of room for some leveraging in those figures. There is only one "convert" that im aware of, that was an original 7 thats been given the body pieces of a 9. IMO somewhere in the range of 4.5-4.7 is a decent price for a 9.
  8. 9's are prolly the most numerous Sti version in SL, I believe there's at least one on the AL Classifieds even now... what's your budget? for maintaining, popular opinion seems to have it that the agents do a pretty good job with it. There are several independent tuners/specialists (such as BRJW). Like any rare car, parts arent widely available but there are enough sources for those as well.
  9. looking good prad, really glad you managed to find all the bits...some luck you have!
  10. Perhaps he's bought Crisco Nihal's Chipped and "Specially Detuned" allion? On another note, The allion is actually a bit more than a "121 dressed in drag". It was the replacement for the Carina, a size larger than a 121 and is in itself a pretty decent car. Have driven and been in a few and for a mid size jap family sedan it's impressive. High marks for refinement and ride comfort and the VVTi 1500 actually is an eager little motor if you know how to wake it up. Did Colombo to N'eliya for the mahagasthota race earlier this year in one of milindus. Managed to get there just 5 minutes slower than we had managed the previous year in a certain Black 300ZX.... Got very decent fuel figures too, something in the order of 12-13 (we weren't keeping it under 2000Rpm ) if i remember right, with 4 blokes in the car! And no, we didnt put it in neutral downhill. Basically, it aint the "ultra advanced hypercar" fanbois imagine it to be, But it IS a better car than us petrolheads give it credit for being.
  11. Floor is open, someone can post.
  12. why should we use more than 1500 rpm? To get to where we're going quicker and not hold up the rest of the road. (especially if, as in my case, your daily driver is an old diesel truck) How could we do this? By pressing that thing called the "Accelarator" a bit further forward than a quarter inch of it's travel... Don't worry, it won't break! Thanks for educating us on how and where we "May" or "may Not" drive. Im sure all of us are feeling very enlightened by this
  13. General principle on the Trivia thread is to give correct guesser 24 hours.... If they have't put up a new entry, then the floor is open. Your contribution is a Ssangyong Rodius, Not really the most difficult vehicle to identify since several sources have voted it "Ugliest vehicle on earth" Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  14. Dont know a lot about them but I can attest to one thing, that TD engine pulls like a train! Did colombo to hikkaduwa a month or so back in a friend's car, 6 people managed to fit in reasonably well and we got there in one hour and 5 minutes exactly... The motor and drivetrain are very smooth (extremely so for an older diesel).
  15. Never actually seen one myself, any runners that you know of?
  16. Maruti 800 aka as "chapathi", "papadam" and such....
  17. Dude, seriously? You went and found a rex? I take my hat off to you man..... As to your requests though machan, Beyond the fact that I think they were sold in Aus as the Fiori or something like that, I have no idea at all.... Didnt even know we had any here in SL Perhaps Ebay for parts? All I can add is, Good luck dude!!
  18. Both are running 2.5 Liter Vanos Equipped sixes AFAIK. With a few upgrades.
  19. Good choice though all in all.... As long as its been looked after by the previous owner and had everything that needs to be done actually done, it should be great.
  20. Congrats man... Good choice there, try not to put too many wires into this one!
  21. You know, every time I see a post of unkel's these days I think of this image.. Uploaded with ImageShack.us No idea why
  22. +1 racerx, over to you.
  23. Since you're a new member as well I'll just point this out before you get the wrong idea about the forum. As peri said, we have no issue with people having grammar issues or spelling issues or whatever man, What we DO have an issue with is people blowing their own trumpet about how because theyve been around on earth longer and have a polishing machine that comes from the United States, they are somehow the most knowledgeable person on this forum on every subject under the sun, Especially the english language. Unkel Sylvi makes a great show of correcting people's english pretty often, so this is simply the rest of us throwing his own medicine back his way.
  24. Good of you to enlighten us, As I asked earlier, Did you actually complain to them? Because You were well within your rights to make a complaint and as far as i know, the management of Mal Key take complaints VERY seriously.
