Guys I noticed unusual tire wear in my car recently, the tread wear is normal there is no excessive wear in the tire tread. I took the tire out, and it just couldn't stay straight, it was slanted outwards, here I've added some pics to make myself clear, I cannot really explain it in words Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us as you can see there is no excessive tread wear Looks like I would have to do a wheel alignment, guess its excessive camber on suspension? Any thoughts on this guys?

+1 ripper, just what the ladies can't do

You got me "thinking" buddy not my kinda thing you know

I'm not very good at my English

3C turbo is the engine and the "turbo" is not a meant to be a turbocharger?
-
The very reason that I could see in converting a petrol to a diesel is fuel consumption....... Installing a turbo wont do any good
-
Low tech meaning it is a non VVTi engine maybe........ So she drinks more and is better in the roads, given that she cannot be taken onto your bed Bugatti, don't try this at home!

Think of the PLATZ as the sedan of VITZ (see? the names go together) Vitz is a hatchback and fairly much lighter than a platz and still for me, it feels underpowered I reckon platz being a sedan should be a little heavier than the vitz so no wonder that it will have low pulling power especially with 5 adults in the car.

You'll be looking at something like 9-10kmpl on a axela (within the city) 121's should give you a good 10-11kmpl again, within the city, some say that it does 13-14kmpl but I'm not pretty sure about it. Maybe a 121 owner should clear things up for you

Thanks Isuru, helpful as always Second hand value will not be my major concern here, ownership of a gift permit car cannot be transferred for 3 years so it is vital that I find a car in good condition that will be able to handle 3 years of well... torture I wont come anywhere near a 1000kms a month, 750-800kms a month maybe and btw don't you think that the market prices of 121's will be affected by the 141's? Same could happen to axela's if 2007/8 axela's start to come in, very unlikely though

There is nothing except for the depreciation fact really, but you can import a vehicle that is upto 10 years old, you pay less duty and taxes to srilankan customs (I am still trying to verify this fact) and the only car that I would like, if I am importing under normal import procedure is a corolla AXIO which seems to be beyond my budget and I really don't like the looks and performance of the BELTA/YARIS I will be all set by august hopefully, wonder why you gave up the idea? It is not much of a hassle if you have the right people to help you with it

I think the mazda 3 was made for the European market, if so, there is a possibility it would have come with a 2L engine
-
Maybe the toyota will give you an extra 1.5kmpl than the mazda
-
Lolness Hell yeah brother!
-
Yea machang true, but you have to consider all the factors before buying ne....... spares and stuff
-
Yes indeed, the vios looks great and the VVTi engine should give you good fuel consumption as well, I doubt that the vios would be more comfy than a 121. Build quality of a vios can't be better than a 121 or a belta by any means And the vios has its speedo in the wrong place looks so damn odd having the thing set up in the middle of your dashboard. Belta - new, looks awful, has a low engine capacity but is said to deliver that low end torque which will get you moving in no time Vios - not entirely "japanese", better looking, leather interior Corolla - looks good enough, comfy, very common on roads so no hassle with spare parts and stuff, may have better fuel figures than the vios for some reason.

Two cars from mazda and toyota, both sedans, same engine capacity- both have 1.5L VVTi engines if I am not mistaken, both are roughly about the same price (the toyota has a slightly higher market value just because it is a "toyota") Ok, Our family thought of getting down a car for a gift permit after looking into the whole process very very deeply. I am now looking at a axela or a corolla (YOM 2003/04) l personally would go for the axela over the corolla because it looks better than the corolla and is not very common in the roads (121's are flooding the roads) and having driven an axela, the handling is perfect for me on a positive note , the 121's fuel consumption makes you fall in love with the car So, like always I am in doubt I'd be delighted if anyone could explain to me which of these could be a better choice..... Cheers!

They sure do mate, But do you think some bloke would just buy a cefiro in spite of the fact that he knows very little about the car?
-
OT, A thing that I can see with many cefiro owners is that they try to keep their cars in perfect condition ( all the tune-ups, oil changes, injector cleaning etc etc) to get the best possible gas mileage out of them, which is not what you see in a corolla or a sunny owner (well, most of them ) and as a result you see many spoiled corollas and sunnys on the road. Even most of the forum members seem to be taking very good care of their cars ; See? So IMHO maybe, just maybe there aren't many spoiled cefiros out there on the road (apart from the fact that there arent may cefiros on the road anyway)

I don't think there is be a big difference in the 1.6L and the 1.5L, also there are a few of these machines here in SL and is a definite head turner (the "Sport" i mean) Go for a 1.5L, should give you more power than the 1.3L Having driven a Swift HT15s, I should tell you the fuel consumption is not that great, only gave me 8-9kmpl so don't expect the car to be very good on fuel....... if FC is your main concern, a YOM 2007 VITZ would be a better option -

Hey! I normally use the A\C mode and was not really bothered to try the "ECON" setting, until someone mentioned that it is called "ECONOMY" mode and it saves you fuel! (all this time I thought it was some environmental friendly thing ) I tried it out today and didn't really feel a difference the cooling was normal, so what really does this "ECON" mode do? Pros and cons of using this setting? Differences between "AC" and "ECON" mode?

Isnt there a ABS system developed for bikes?
