mate..vti comes in ek3 as well. thats the ek3 singpaore version which is almost in par with the ek3 vi JDM version. there are so many icons which differntiate Vi from a vti. vti got discs all around where as vi not. vti engine code d15z7 (3 stage vtec) vi engine code d15b (3 stage vtec)though the engine codes are different, its the same engine. in cars came with CVT, vti cvt geabox code is S4VA where as vi cvt gearbox code is M4VA apart from that ek3 vti comes with leather interior and mutiple CD loader fitterd by the honda dealership in singapore.

Domani has the Vtec-E engine if im not mistaken. slighltly inferior to 3stage vtec d15b you get on JDM eks. somewhat rare engine in sri lanka.

imagine someone who resides in Anuradapura or Pollonnaruwa has a Honda or a Mazda..im sure he may not find spare parts even for older models. but enough parts are availble for sunnys and corrolas.

a small piece of advice...the popular honda garages in kandy are more familiar with EG's and EK's. i would say specially ek's. the very few FD' s in kandy and the fair amount of ES series in kandy mostly come to colombo for the routine services.the same will apply to new genaration city /Fit aria too. of course its a good buy. but stick to agents at least for service and repairs. just my two cents.

i have the same sparking from plugs just in morning starts..so the experts suspect its the faulty ignetion coil..and everything started after the engine wash.but im yet to take the car to the garage..ya im from kandy..PM your contact details.

trust me..i have the same issue now after an engine bay wash..now there is an engine miss in cold start every day morning..i suspect the issue is with ignetion coils..but the funny thing is the problem disappears after about 10 mins when everything heated up. what were your symptoms when the ignetion coil gave in?

how much did you pay for the ignition coils?

yeah.. i put mine last weekend for interior cleaning at CRC seeduwa..they did a pretty good job. took two day due to gloomy weather..the package includes full interior detailing and Cut n Polish. it cost me 5700.

i doubt you would find axela parts in kandy. why dont you ask him to put the car in to his prefered garage in kandy and let the garage source the parts?

by the way what is the spec of your familia? how much did you pay for it?

if you simply dont find anything wrong with your car, why you wanted to check the car for possible /potential faults?? go face the emission test first. decide what to do depending on the report.

of course you can find a decent civic for 1.5 try to find a car in stock condition or atleast with minimum modifications. try to find a vi with 300 or 301 plates. you would find a one within your budget if you are lucky. or else try to get hold on to a 98/99 brand new import exi.
