Please Help!! Ae100 Or Fb14????

Hi everyone, this is my first post here!! I have been looking for a car ranging from 1 mil to 1.25 mil. So far, i have not been able to find a good car of my choice. Can you guys please help me out on which car i should choose? ae100 or FB14? and what specs can i expect within my price range? (yom, super/ex saloon, lx/xe/se lmtd ?)

P.S. My preference is ae100 se limited with yom around 1994. but i hv little idea on market prices...

thanks for your quick response defendertdi!!! But the thing is asking prices of AE 100 SELtd 94 models are 13 mil or higher... is it worthed?? because i can go for a FB14 new car(96 or 97) for around 12.5 mil..

AE 100 model has good demand in Rathnapura area.....Gem Sellers buy these cars @ High price if da condition is good...dats y i think Ae 100 caught high prices..

i preffer AE 100 since i used it for little more than a year. but if you can spend 1.25 million i suggest you to go for a FB 14 since its a newer model and has ample spares in any corner of the island. AE 100 body parts are not that common compared to FB14 these days,

Forgot to mention abut the Nissan wingroad Y10.

You can also try the Nissan Ad wagon Y11 model but not sure what the market price for this car is now.

Also i would like to know what the current price will be for the Nissan Wingroad Y11 model.

dnt bother abt AE 100 apares..toyota spares cn be easily fund unless its a very special one............

as i knw from all these models AE 100 has good 2nd hand market.............Car is really good if u maintain it very well.......

dont bother about the parts if you are using it for 2 years. there shouldnt be an issue. true that AE 100 has a better second hand market than FB14. but well maintained AE 100 are rare to find these days. you have to do bit of searching around.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but you're buying a car that's already used. So if you're buying it "2nd Hand" wont YOU be paying a higher price for it as well? In which case you will be recovering the same cost at the point of selling.

You can get hold of a good FB14 Super Saloon with YOM around 94-95 bearing 300 or 301 for about 1mil ~ 1.1 mil max And it has all options including retract mirros, RPM gauge, Climate control.

No!! all 95 and above super saloons are going above 1.2 Mil. was searching for a one for my frend and got hold to 96 one above 1.2 thats also after searching for days. i know the price is too high but he was on a hurry to own a one.

Super saloons are selling way off the market price now but the thing is people are in a hurry to buy the cars due to the sudden interest induced by the tax cut off and they don't care whether price is high or not!! I know lots of guys who have taken personal loans when the taxes were reduced, so they want to purchase a car quickly. Best thing is to be patient...

Good for you if you have friends and relatives who would sell you their car for less money than they can get if they sold it to someone else... you are truely blessed

Btw, my point again; it doesnt change the fact that you still are buying a car for even the current owner thinks he can get a good 2nd hand price from YOU.

Finally, ended up with ae 110 car for a price of 12.40.YOM95, xe saloon full option car,(no abs, alloywheels or air bags though) excellent body condition but there's a tappet noise in engine. The engineer who inspected the car(one of our family friends) said that it won't cost much(around 15k to 20k max)to rectify that. So, taking my chances!!! thanks everyone for your support!!! I will try to update u on my car stats whenever possible....

i woul also go for AE100.. had a fb14 sometime back and i didnt like the pulling power of that car... plus it gives nastly maintenance issues as well

yep, i prefer toyota as well cuz has more resale value... today i paid the money and brought the car home... easy to drive and good comfort... i'll upload photos later!!!!

No mate you r wrong. you can find a lot of AE100 spare parts brand new or recondition if you r in Colombo, Kurunagala. Even most of the AE110 spare parts can be used in AE100 cars. So dnt wory abt Toyota spare parts.
