  1. yeah..it shares with break reservoir. how can we identify whether the oil is in good condition or not?
  2. no issue with clutch engagement, its just that clutch pedal lost the pressure all of a sudden..feel like trying out with changing the break oil and if happens again then i will have to resleeve the cylinder or to replace the same.
  3. JD, can you please try to help me out on my earlier post??
  4. i think it was an all time design of toyota. that was my first car. bult in 1994 and had 94k on the clock when i bought it as the second owner. that was a wonderful car. like you said now its bit diffcult to find well maintained ones! i moved on to civics and mazdas subsequently but i still love that car for some reason.. that 5A-FE is a damn reliable workhorse!
  5. don! when it happened the first time i used the repair kit! then after 2500km the washer went bad again! im afraid i will have to replace the master cylinder. or could it be due to dirt in the oil?
  6. i had the same issue with clutch paddle reulting the change of master cylinder washer 2 times within 3000km..my could this be due to a bad master cylinder? my worry is this could happen again at a crucial time on the road.
  7. what a pathetic way to think! first of all have you used all these 3 cars to come up with absurd comments??? in my case i have used both ae 100 and fb 14 but not a demio instead a familia. how the hell on earth you say fb14 is comfortable than ae 100? and how would you say the demio is economical than ae 100? are you out of your mind??? though demio has a 1.3 litre engine its not very good on fuel. instead 5A-FE engine of 1.5 litre ae 100 does much better on fuel. easily around 11 in town and 15 out station on a manual tranny! like fb 14. ae 100 spares too can be found on every corner of the island. body parts are a bit scarce due to the age of the vehicle. but ae 100 is defenetely more comfortable than the fb14 front loose saupension and it doesnt even have rear independent suspension. instead its got a " gon polla" only advantage of the fb14 is its a newer model and got airbags and ample spares in any corner of the island. demio spares are not that common. and only plus point is its a newer model. im just giving you the pros and cons of each model. the decion is yours!
  8. 0777 483298 what are you looking for?
  9. you' ve got a wonderful car in your hands buddy!! you are so lucky can you elaborate a bit more on what do you mean by a city? or city driving? like peri said a city like kurunegala or anuradapura??
  10. you can get a maximum of 7 in city traffic. its a heavy car compared to 323.
  11. agreed! familia hatch would be a much better option.
  12. another retarded comment i doubt whether you have something to do with crisco nihal amazing fuel figures from a preasea ha??
  13. mate! you are sadly mistaken..who will learn from the hearsay comments made by another bunch of retards??
  14. yes.. my familia hatch does around 9-10 in city. but a decent ride
  15. then your options will be limited mate!famila/323 or a Lance CS would fit the criteria..or even a zuzuki as far as jap cars are concerned. but i would go for familia. my personal preference.
  16. i sugesst you to not to spend anything over 1.1 million for a EG8 vtec. they belong to history now despite being a good car...and body parts are bit hard to come by these days.might as well go for a 96/97 ek3 exi in decent shape. or a famila/323 or else CK2.
  17. correction! 13/Km/2L
  18. very unlikely these days unless its a 1.3
  19. who is upul? is he in Nugegoda??
  20. go to the agents..i used to recommend a few individual mechanics but im not recommending them anymore for anyone who is new to hondas.
  21. nope. they share the same engine with honda PGM-fI technology.
  22. i think his car is EK3 ML version which came with non vtec engine with 105 bhp.
  23. non hacked, unriced EG would be a rare creature these days. i remember when i was looking for a car abt 3 years ago, there were few decent EG's i came across. but not anymore. more than the power to weight eg's S20 manual gearbox is step ahead of EK's S40 manual tranny.
