Wow! Then probably they're for people who don't have any use of money and it's just spilling out of them everywhere. Cuz I saw a 530i in AL for 15M or so? What don't we have here??
-
Yea that's what I said too, we talk in l cuz it's easy but cuz of the cc system of the customs, things are done more accurately. Exactly, so there is no tax difference for the 1498cc Axela and 1598cc Mazda3, only point they'd differ in price was how much they initially cost.

Hey that's some pretty nice DIY stuff there, guess not many would do those things here cuz the stuff necessary is a bit rare and expensive. Nevertheless, that's some good work, well done! Anyway, just an idea, as your new project car has 1.5 VTEC-E SOHC engine, with a manual too, why not turn that into a N/A track car? Unless you're planning to sell that ofcourse. If not, it'd be a lot of fun for the weekends. And it already has more power than your D16B2 anyway, assuming it's the famous D15B. That's 110hp vs. 130hp stock, more than 10 years ago though. And auto wastes more power too. Btw, Wiki says your engine was only used in the Rover 416i Automatic You sure there's not been an engine swap or something?

As there is no centralized place nor a separate sub forum in AL regarding forced induction in SL, thought it'd be a good idea to list some info and previous discussions for the ease of anyone looking at the possibility of converting a Naturally Aspirated engine to a Forced Aspiration engine. Please help this thread with any other ideas and thoughts regarding this. Hope it's of some use to new members too. These are some threads I could find about turbocharging an engine or the like : http://www.autolanka...98-turbo-hondas http://www.autolanka...turbo-on-a-d15b http://www.autolanka...o-a-carb-engine http://www.autolanka...urbo-conversion http://www.autolanka...urbo-conversion These are two links external to AL (mods approval?) that gives lots of info : http://www.thezcr.co...read.php?t=9999 http://www.thezcr.co...read.php?t=9993 [That site was chosen due to it being much faster with less ads] As a Honda fan, here's a good write up for an EG Civic Be patient as there are many pictures, so takes time to load. http://honda-tech.co...d.php?t=1263795 As I believe the most common Honda engine is possibly the D15B, and it replaced the older ZC cuz it was more powerful at 130hp, here is the sort of power with a turbo and a totally stock engine. But lets not assume everyone to be so lucky As for a list of parts I can think of, you'd probably need : Obviously a Turbocharger Turbo Exhaust manifold Turbo Downpipe Wastegate (for turbo's without an internal one or for higher pressure) Intercooler Piping Clamps Oil lines/hoses Bigger fuel injectors Blow off valve (better if you do have) New fuel pump ECU remap Air Intake (fixed to the turbo but not ending too close) MAF/MAP sensor Maybe a stock O2 sensor would work, but a wideband O2 sensor is always more accurate. And a some more things if you need to be more on the safe side. I may have missed out some parts but hopefully others will add to this. So anybody liking some turbo challenge will get some idea regarding the necessary parts, and contact the necessary people to get the job all done. I'm not yet aware of many people doing even simple things as DIY here so it'd be kinda crazy to try this alone. As for superchargers and nitrous oxide (NOS), it's better with the experts explaining PS - Pinning this somewhere may be helpful, rather than going down in the list and lost

Who Are The Worst Drivers In Sl Or Wherever You Are?
BLu3HaZe replied to Dominic's topic in General Automotive
Yea, private buses are truly a menace. But I remember a very long time back, my dad got hold of an old Toyota cab made totally out of thick metal, don't know for what, with the paint also scarred like it came out of battle or something and also had a loud V6 diesel. Bus drivers were pretty scared of that and would sheepishly get their Indian tin plates to a side of the road, truly hilarious Be sure to give those guys a scare if any of you get hold of one -
I'm not exactly a Toyota fan, other than of a few great icons like the Supra, but got to agree with TharakaWi, cuz the Axio is more of a family car and the Axela being more of a sporty/couple car

Hmm, well I too have used Opera Mini to view this but no such problem as the quotes being not green enough nah Can you see it properly with the PC? Try getting a screen shot and checking it out on your phone, maybe it's something to do with the display?
-
OMG that's an awesome mean looking car! But why not a M3 Saloon, that's a kinda bit more expensive yet got stuff worth for the extra money nah? Um, so says their site but it does say a lot of things, even the Bentley's and Lamborghini's. They sure would have all the tech to do that, but questions is has anyone done that?
-
But I've seen all tax tables being put out in cc, not L and also all documents regarding the vehicle being in cc, such as our previous Tercel was listed as 1330cc and the new Yaris as 1298cc. But for sake of easy representation, people round off both to 1.3l in saying the capacity. AFAIK, the Mazda3 is 1598cc < 1.6l

You needn't have posted the same thing in two places nah? New content comes out on top

Ok then, awaiting some pics of a lovely beemer tomorrow then Damn, why is that? Would have been a great buy. So has anyone modified BMWs here? I mean performance wise? Cuz those German motors are very good in putting out lots of power, even though currently they're extremely restricted cuz of the strictest emission laws in the world. I think a N/A 320i MAY be able to put out more power than a Civic Si with a K20A, both de-restricted?

Well I think it's the 1NZ-FE 1.5L VVT-i engine that was talked about here? I believe it IS possible to do 60 km/h at 1500 rpm and 100 km/h at 3000 rpm, cuz it's about the same as I've noticed in our Yaris (1200+ kg with passengers) with a smaller 2NZ-FE 1.3L engine and auto transmission. And it doesn't take too long to accelerate to that either, as it's not very easy to do some fast 0-60 in Kandy with all the small roads and torrents of cops all over. But the fuel consumption is way off , cuz the best the 1.3L auto gets in town driving is 11 km/l here! But ofcourse, Mr. Neville should keep his foot buried to the floor sometime to feel the G's, and gears changing at 6000+ rpm

Dude is the project stuck somewhere or you never bother after that? Please do post the details if you will

Nice to see some great cars being posted or discussed here, even if we don't get to own them A V6 what? That too must also be a great car though We don't have anything beyond 6 cylinders lately nah? Is it cuz of luxury tax? I just got to know semi-luxury applies on anything above 2L but the upper limit wasn't specified, nor the new percentage. Anyone got any idea? As for BMWs, that's everything above x20i I guess. Also do we have Z3/Z4 here?

Unless you're talking with a normal girl or a pathetic guy, in which case she'd (for both) leave you talking to yourself Happens to me

AFAIK, a turbo on a diesel helps improve the efficiency by increasing the cylinder pressure, which is normally not a lot when using a N/A diesel engine. As there are no spark plugs either and high CR, it'd make diesels more efficient if you do NOT try to lay off the turbo. Don't want about blowing up a turbo in a stock Hilux, cuz the factory has set the limits very much on the safe side, you can't increase pressure too much unless you over rev the engine way too much, by selecting a lower gear than you should be in or so. If you were to remove that turbo from your diesel and drive normally, you'd obviously lose power and a very big chance of actually getting LESS km/l It's totally different with petrol engines though, where turbo's are added for power.

Well not bad at all for SL, considering the huge taxes they'd have got But no M3s nah? Hmmm, that's wierd cuz I thought that all petrol E36 3 series other than 316i and 318i came in 6 cylinders? Maybe I'm mistaken then Oh that's great, lucky I must say So what are you going to do with it? Care to put up the price too if not against rules? Edit - Assuming this isn't sold, not bad nah? http://autolanka.com/ad.asp?ID=23280

I've also seen that in two Liana's and one Corolla 121, was wondering what it is
-
Wow, that's a great car dude! Looks really nice. Wonder how he got the body done. I was wondering if custom FRP can be made and fitted to a good chassis with a cross-plane crank V8? Someone said a Mercedes V8, but AFAIK, they're having flat-plane cranks like Ferraris etc. of now, which rev higher but don't have much of the deep V8 sound like in the Mustang discussed here.
-
Ah that's nice But you mean only one 328i in the whole country?? How much do they cost, the large capacity Inline 6s?

What To Buy - For Between 500k-900k?
BLu3HaZe replied to Supra_Natural's topic in General Automotive
Thanks a lot! I thought the same about the 4WD... -
But I didn't get it
-
But I didn't get anything like that!! I think there is something wrong with the PM function too, cuz I sent you too a msg and also two other guys, they never replied either. MADZ or Peri, can you please check on this?
