News just in.... Seat belts made compulsory for english numbered vehicles.

Today I saved an ignorant driver and occupents of a three wheeler by indicating left signal to a Civic trying to overtake me from my left hand side. Three wheeler was coming ahead of me trying to turn to his right crossing the road ahead of me. Civic from my behind had no clue of the three wheeler, neither did the three wheeler guy of the civic. Having seen my left signal blinking, civic realised he should slow down which eventully saved the three wheeler. Not sure if indication of this nature complies with the code but it surely saved some lives in this case.

I know a place [a friend of mine] in Kelaniya who imports/ assembles LRs. I think their prices are quite competitive [not an expert on this though]. PM if you are interested in talking to them.

I phoned all these places but last number which is in balangoda only have the stuff i want. they dont quote over the phone but i convince the sales guy to give a rough estimate. although it's way too high [rs. 60k for from 2 doors], the guy said prices could be drastically bargained. so i now have to visit them and see. thanks for the valuable info.

I need some advise on importing parts from overseas. I plan to get down a set of used doors for my 1992 hilux. when checked locally, it'll cost me around 60k+. Will it be cheaper to buy it from exporters in japan, UK or australia?

very true mate, this is exactly what we suspect too. cos we see a slight stain [caused by water dripping down] from the tail light housing. but what i cannot figure out is can there be that much of water coming through that? thanks for the advise!

Ya we thought of this but the boot is wet all these days for the rain so we wouldnt notice the moisture. another one suggested to mix some washing blue [hope u guys know this] with water and pour over the boot with someone with a flashlight inside. hoping to try one of these tomorrow. thanks for the tip mate!

Guys, my friend's vios's boot is now leaking after having to replace the boot lid due to an accident. He has been using the car with the leak unnoticed for a while and it has damaged the upholstry board covering the spare wheel. We've got a 'tinker bass' to check the problem who took a couple of days to 'fix' it. but my friend has found the leak still persists. As there's no visible damage to the rubber beeing, could this be a disfigured body panel after the accident ?[car knocked off a wall badly which caused him to replace the lid]. apreciate thoughts on this. and also if you know a person you can fix this. Cheers!
