    Do you expect 15 Kmpl?
  3. I agree with you. There are not lot of threads regarding Elantra. So for your questions - worth buying for 120K-130K? - Worth for a well maintained car. You probably find a good one between 1.1mil - 1.2mil How's second hand market for this? - This is sri lanka. You cannot expect a profit by reselling your car if it is not a jap. Anyway you can sell the car (if you maintained it well) to a price very closer than you bought. Is this good on fuel? - No. Not like Japanese cars. I get 8 - 9 kmpl in colombo with very careful driving. If you try to drive like in movies (which you can do with this car) you can burn 6 -7 kmpl. Any mechanical and maintaince issues? - I guess no. Be sure to buy a one that has previous maintenance records. For routing repairs and maintenance, parts are available. But for body parts, it is very difficult find. (avoid accidents and you will be fine ) When compare with Accent facelift model(2003-) which is worth buying in sri lankan market? In sri lankan market, go for accent. But if you want style and class go for elantra. you will have more comfort and class than a 1.8mil japanese car.
  4. thanks.
  5. I do not think there is a limitation in parts used for running repairs. But you will have problems finding some body parts. Of course you can order any parts through agents. or ebay .
  6. GM Experts, I need an answer to this. What should be the vacuum pressure an engine should maintain while idling? I guess if it is too high (means closer to atmospheric pressure) engine will not have enough air coming it to its manifold and eventually will die. Thanks.
  7. When you driving at night with AC on, windscreen will get cold. if it is much cooler than the outside atmosphere, mist will be concentrate on outside of the windscreen. Same as when you pour cold water into a glass, mist will be on the outside of the glass. The solution would be to heat up the windscreen and mist will disappear. I am regularly facing this problem while driving at night. My solution is to increase the temperature from AC temperature controller and put the air flow into the windscreen. Not for long , about a minute . Then the mist will be gone. But it again comes on after an hour or so. A proper adjustment of temperature inside the car should keep out this problem. But honestly I haven't been able to find that adjustment for myself yet. LOL.
  8. Have they checked sway bar (stabilizer) links and bushes?
  9. Oh really? I didn't know that. Thanks for the infor.
  10. not me. I am just checking the possibilities.
  11. After all that has being told I thought it will be a good alternative for three wheelers. That is if you can have it around 4 - 5 laks. Obviously I am not going to buy one for myself. Just thought the possibilities of having a one for cheap.
  12. Can't we import a used one from India? It will be much cheaper (if possilbe)
  13. Yes I was referring Cold Air Intake. And I do not have CAI installed. Anyway I will try to bypass my coolant lines from TB when I have some free time. Doesn't seems to be a difficult job.
  14. No I think if you allow cooler air into the cylinder you can have some performance gain. That is the idea of cool air intake.
  15. Yes, luckily for me they got all the parts for clutch replacement.
  16. I mean by bypassing the coolant line it will help cooler air to flow into the cylinders.
  17. wow that is good news
  18. I thought it will help to allow cooler intake air to the cylinder. and it will enhance the performance.
  19. Hi all, please provide your ideas about this topic. How will it affect performance, fuel economy, maintenance, etc Thanks
  20. I was just checking since those two models were missing. after all information in this thread is not important since anyone can call the agents and ask the price.
  21. Haven't heard that. Done a clutch replacement 3 weeks ago. anyway their after sale service is poor. they do not carry 80% of the required parts. lol.
  22. Wow. Thanks for the details. Any ideas about Hyundai Elantra and Sonata?
  23. Thanks. I think I missed one thread
  24. Sorry I did. But was able to find only two threads. last one was on 2010. At that time the price was 10k - 15k. I wanted to know if there are some other places doing the same with lesser price..
  25. Hi All, Could you please advice me on removing scratches from windscreen. There are some wiper blade scratches. I want to get comments from people who had done this before. From older posts I get that Kl**nP**k does this. Are there any regular places? What would be the cost? Thanks. Asanka
