Just my personal view..avoid the Indian ones and go for either Japanese or Malaysian...As matroska pointed out , If you are ok with a 660 Cc car go for the Wagon R Hybrid the most economical of the list.

Have you checked Samsung Note Edge?? After using few sony xperias for almost 3 years, a month back I bought Samsung Note Edge. Eye catching design and good features as well...Initially I felt the size bit too much. But after being used it for one month , the size seems not to be an issue.

Guys I don't you think that Ssangyong products will be same as earlier lot as it's already been acquired by Indian Auto Mobile manufacture Mahendra. So in the future, there will be changes to it's platforms as well. Whatever it is the looks and price tag is attractive.

Kia Sportage (99) Vs Terios(99) Vs Vitara Jlx(2 Door)
AbeysinghE replied to nuwanz's question in Car Buying Information
I don't have any experience with Kia Sportage and Vitara..But I would say Daihatsu Terios is not a bad one at all to own. -
If your car is a new one, aren't there a warranty from Sterling Japan? In that case you better do to the service from a place recommended by them in order to get the free service . If no warranty Toyota Lanka also offers a good service..there are a lot of places around Colombo up to Negambo offering services for Hybrids.

Since you're not using the car frequently, fuel consumption might not be a big issue for you right? How about a FB14, cefero or a Toyota Mark 2???? If you find a well maintained car worth for your budget.

Mate..I think the problem is with the rpm level when idle...One of my friend was having the same issue with his Allion 260..2007 model and problem was solved up to a considerable level after a good engine tune up...But the rpm when idling was around 800 when A/C on as I remember...I'm also using a Allion 260 and rpm is around 800. No issues till now..

Dear friend, Just look at the Aquas on the road.. 99% of them don't have Mud Flaps.. The reason is there are no mud flaps which can be fitted to Aqua without drilling. I have seen very few Aquas fixed with Mud Flaps and looks very Odd...My wife wanted to fix it to her Aqua and went all over and could not find. So that might be the reason that most of the Aquas on the road are without mud flaps..

Why you need to try LOLC insurance, when there a enough Insurance companies who pass the claim without any Issue...With my personal experience I could rate Insurance companies which I have dealt with as follows.. 01. SL I******* (Best for me) 02. c******o Insurance (Good) 03. Asian Alliance ( Not Bad) 04. j********i (Bad) 04. Continental (Worst). This just my experience and others may have got different views depending on the services.

Yes fuel figures going to change slightly..Rs. 15000 sounds bit more for me..should be around 10k or lesser..i think your CS1 2002 1.3cc Manual transmission model comes with carburetor model right? I have heard from the users of this particular model that it does better on fuel than EFI model correct me If i'm wrong

Don't expect high fuel economy from all of the above 3 cars..It's around 9-11 kmpl on average and may do bit more depending on how good you maintain and treat the engine and your driving style. As you have to go for a mid 90s or close to year 2000 probably a 2000 also If you are lucky, do not expect them to be zero headaches as they are old. If you consider the resale value Nissan has the upper hand for sure..It's almost impossible for you to go for a Toyota in the same age with your budget as they are priced ridiculously higher in Sri Lanka. My first car was Mirage and I was very happy with it those days as I haven't driven any other before that..But finding spares is a problem in Mitsubishi and you got to be ready to pay UM for what ever the price they quote you...So overall I would go for either Nissan FB14 or Mazda Famila If I were you..

Yes.As matroska pointed out, this was discussed earlier. I would like suggest you Nissan FB14, Mazda Famila, Mitsubishi Mirage for your budget.

Advice On Buying A Hybrid Car/suv Arround 5 Million
AbeysinghE replied to lahiru_carlover's question in Car Buying Information
For me, Honda Grace comfort and handling is better than Axio Hybrid. I have traveled quite a lot on Grace and think that it's a good car..but not the best..It's comparably better than Axio..but Axio is more roomier than Grace as I felt..I think Honda Grace cabin same size as GP5. . -
Dear MADZ, what happened to that cool Auto Lanka android app? It's not working any more..I searched it in Google Play and app no more in existence there. Is any upgraded app coming up?

I saw one Suprima S car for sale few months back in another vehicle classified site. The car shape reminds me Honda Grace hybrid. Protons are good reliable cars in Malaysia. But when it comes to Sri Lanka you always have to do it with the agents and naturally you are going to spend extra bucks for sure. Sometimes you have to wait considerable time until agents import the body and spare parts. My wife wanted to buy a Proton Gen2. So I did a bit of tricky research on that..I called to a owner of a Gen2 car which was advertised in a classified site and told him that I didn't call him for the car actually I need a favor from him to replace my Proton Gen2 bumper damaged few days back and asked him whether he knows where to buy a new one. His immediately reply was " Ayyo mahaththaya matath thiyena prashne okama thamai..buffer ekak hoyaganna beruwa mama bas kenekta kiyala fiber walin ekak hadawala demme"

Didn't you call Unit#d Mot#rs? Some times they have used EXs for sale. I have seen few in Unit#d Mot#rs Kurunegala but not recently..I agree with BRATT regarding brand new car fuel consumption might be bit low..But fuel figures may reach around 11 kmpl average afterwards..

Advice On Buying A Hybrid Car/suv Arround 5 Million
AbeysinghE replied to lahiru_carlover's question in Car Buying Information
I think it should carry the semi-luxury tax as Department of Motor Traffic hasn't specifically mentioned any special provision for hybrids..So have to consider based on the petrol engine capacity. Since Axela hybrid comes with a 2000 cc petrol engine it come under semi luxury category (1801 cc to 2000 cc) . -
One little question..why Honda Vezel is categorized under SUV in Auto Lanka?

Advice On Buying A Hybrid Car/suv Arround 5 Million
AbeysinghE replied to lahiru_carlover's question in Car Buying Information
Since you have specifically stated that you are only interested in hybrids, my personal suggestions are below, though you have lot more attractive non hybrid options. Toyota Axio Hybrid- Good fuel consumption (Average 28 kmpl). Not a comfortable car in my opinion. Less leg space in the rear compared to conventional petrol model. Not having a good handling or pleasurable ride. Only it will save your fuel saving desire. Toyota Prius- Equally good fuel consumption as Axio hybrid, Better power and handling than Axio.Much roomier car compared to Axio..and the looks..oh god I will not say anything. Very low ground clearance is something I have noticed when having full passenger capacity. (I used one for almost 2 years) Honda Grace- Looks really good. Better fuel consumption than both of above cars. Less roomier inside, Comfortable ride and fun to drive. Mazda Axela Hybrid- Take all the above plus points at it's best..you will get Mazda Axela hybrid..But not fuel efficient as Toyotas and Hondas. Finally my personal favorite is Mazda Axela Hybrid..I have driven all of the above cars and you got believe me Mazda made me think about hybrids differently. .
