  1. Toyota Lanka do a vehicle health check for about 6k. The vibration could be many different things like with the throttle body, sensors etc., so best you find out what it is and then go to a different place to get the work done.
  2. Also, make sure you have Medicalls on speed dial in case her husband is at home.
  3. Classic stalker question hehe - Can i guess? There was a moron who cut you off? Hot girl driving in the next lane to you? hot or cold?
  4. I think its a BMW 5 series.

Aw Pericles, don't bring up balls of any kind with AC991...it's a sensitive topic with him after what happened...
  9. Well the OP DOES have a point. See "wink" has it's origins in flirting/amorous behaviour, usually a wink supplied to a woman from a man was considered signs of 'interest'. The "winker" therefore was the term applied to one who supplies the wink and winkee, the receiver. The Winker mirror was a product whereby the winkers used to practice and perfect the art of winking. The modern context term applied to car side mirrors with a indicator embedded is completely an erroneous title and made be some form of copyright infringement. This is not to be confused with the "winkler mirror", which is something else. It is a device used to identify mentally challenged ones on the road and as one observes it 'winkling' one should give such a vehicle a wide berth. I can't describe 'winkling', but you will certainly recognise it when you see it.
  10. Figures already up dude, but thanks for offer.
  11. Guys whats up with all these posts with three exclamation marks? When I saw this thread I got excited thinking someone was battling the two cars or some kind of demolition derby. Then I saw another one called "Eco Test Standards !!!" I thought they had been removed or they changed the criteria to include a dance off between the agencies to woo customers or maybe they were going to pay us for the emissions test. Please stop putting !!!! for boring ol' threads !!!!!!
  12. Depends on your criteria. E.g. the toyota would be better for resale.
  13. Hehe yeah dude, otherwise the pump might break!
  14. Not the case now, I'm afraid. Some have complained of having to wait over 2 weeks for their plates - I registered 3 weeks ago, it took a week and a half to get the plates.
  15. Well I was dying for a pump yesterday after holding it for so long, so went to Laugfs Havelock Road. First I pumped a little into a small bottle (a bit embarrassing as other fellows were looking and were wondering what I was doing). It was yellow (as expected) and was very clear, so I relaxed and pumped as much as I could and....it felt good I must say. After putting that seriously good pump, everything is running smoothly still.
  16. If I had a dime for every time a driver has tried to kill me on a pedestrian crossing...

  17. Whats the repair?
  18. Its gorgeous....but the "hybrid" at the back ruins it for me.... Call me vain, but I would like my Porsche to sound like a porsche, but this bad boy looks awesome parked!
  19. +1 I have the front seat right back, my friend sitting behind had to accommodate the back of the front seat in between his legs! He had odd-looking cramps at the end of the journey hehe
  20. Double post
  21. I had a J series N16 (2001) Sunny EX Saloon which had Teak panels. Why anyone would care as much as you guys about teak panels is beyond me, but there you go. The SuperSaloon 1.6 is a powerful enough car for Sri Lanka road use. I've been using a 2000 SuperSaloon 1.6l for a couple of years and it is a very comfortable drive. The lower arm 'bushes' are an issue - but if you're buying one, expect to replace the entire lower arm - not just the "bushes" like the member stated earlier as you'll have a recurring issue but fortunately you'll likely need to do that only every few years. The best feature of this car IMO is spares. Spares are easy and cheap to come by. During the Nov '10 floods, some water got into my alternator. I pulled it out, took it to my electrical garage. He took the top part from mine, took the bottom part from another busted one, he sanded and welded and it works fine.
  22. ROFL
  23. Tyre size won't make SUCH a big difference to fuel consumption, unless you've put tractor tyres IMO. However, they can mess up the calculations because ODO readings will be incorrect making you seem by calculation that you're operating inefficiently. But what Pericles is getting at, I think, is that trying to keep that low RPM is good, but keeping them low on the higher gears is way more efficient.
  24. I had the P12 like I said earlier, it did 7km/l, also you can't get one for less than 2 mill. Think of your budget, if you want an impreza or an accord, you will be getting something fairly old, not sexy cars really are they? They are quite ordinary IMHO, now an Alfa is something else, or Ive seen some lovely Audis for the price or a E36 BMW?
