    I do live in near very famous tourism road stretch[A9 road b/w Dambulla & Kandy]. Most of the cars I see do tourism are axios and micro[geely]mx7. see occasional allions,prius, elentras and N16/17 also. So I think Axio is a good pick. And what about Prius? Cos Prius has big luggage space[reminds me station wagons were{more often lancers-before Toyota became popular} popular for tourism in eighties] and fuel economy.

    I do suggest you to ask her to use Cedia. If someone learns driving with correct basics, size of the vehicle[well... it may be different with large car,SUV or truck. But this is a cedia]does not matter much. I was thinking same as you 3-4years back and searching for an auto hatchback for wife. One of my friend gave me the same advice what I gave you and now my wifey drives even SUV/Crossover with confident. If I bought her an auto she would still be hogging roads in a march or a Vitz. So better to find a good driving instructor than finding a car. And otherwise she will never drive a manual in future.

    Alto is a good option: Reasons: 1. You can buy brand new one.So leasing is bit cheaper/easier. 2.So don't need to afraid of being caught to a crook who disguise a bad car as a good car[One in the forum may say you are already got caught by buying an Alto] 3.Its high ground clearance will help to a new driver[and with a new car you will have lot of places to visit] 3.you can pump up 92 octane and has good fuel economy. 4.Minimum bells and whistles. So you will not have to repair them. 5.The most important thing to new driver is it has manual transmission. Otherwise you won't learn to drive a manual in your entire life.For you , you will never have that thrill of a driving manual. For others, you will too closely keep your vehicle behind a MT vehicle in an incline and honk madly if its wheels turn backwards few degrees. 6.Freely available and relatively cheap spare parts.

    Previously , this type bunch of idiots put the kms they went in blinking the perodua viva low fuel indicator. Now axio hybrid owners. I have never driven or seen a car with reserve tank and when it is clearly indicate this much of kms you can go without refueling, why bother about reserve tank? Head is there not only for cosmetic reasons,so use it .

    Wait.... Now we are putting LEDs because they consume less power, so to go green,reduce the carbon foot print,reduce global warming...... aren't we? But with this setup we just consume the same power. Then you just get cosmetic effect only.

    Kandy to Anuradhapura: 1. Chamikra Restaurant in Balakaduwa pass: Food & price is average. But hygienic.It is the only grade "A" eating place around the area. 2.BurgerInn in Matale: Food is good. Their submarine is close to Dine-more. Price also. 3.Sangraha in Nalanda: Food is good and pricy. Rice & Curry, Chinese & western stuff available. 4. Gangasiri Medura in Pannampitiya: Food is above average. Prices reasonable/cheap.Rice & Curry, "localized" chinese & western food available. 5.Benthota bake House in Dambulla: Remember to go to the up stair restaurant. Food and price above average. 6.Alankulama Cafe and Resturant: Huge horse-rider statue in the compound. in b/w Kekirawa and Maradankadawala:Food is good and price above avg. And Do not forget RIO ice cream joint in Nallur , Jaffna.

    This is the reply I got from carmart. Dear , Mentioned below is the reply from our spare parts division. The package does not include side skirts and front and rear bumper lips. And the original Mazda company does not manufacture and import the above mentioned parts for the particular model. Thanks and Regards,

    Negotiated with Carmart to Soul Red [designer color]Mazdz3 Core+ with lip spoiler for 3.7million and confirmed the order.Thanks for your kind contribution to help to make me the choice.Hope to update the thread when I get her.

    Dear Don, Still my permit is in the pipeline. So Waiting is not a matter I bother. I called them today and according to them Mazda do not offer skyactiv to Sri Lanka[actually I do not beleive bcos Mazda6 come with skyactiv]. and the vehicle comes with 6 air bags. Only offer Auto transmission.Audio sys is not Bose.No HID,Adaptive head lights. and Climate control AC. If I import Axela from Japan[though rare in auctions] I can go for Skyactiv1.5 with i stop, climate control and few more bells and whistlesy[mildly used] for about 2 lakhs less. What I want to know that the risk I am getting by importing a JDM is worth accordinng to your experience?I do mainly concern about the engine and climatecontrol AC. Please advice. I have to decide in this week. Thanks.

    Usually when oil pressure drops it is 1st noticed at idle speeds...Gradually it will appear in high RPMs.
