I don't think a simple "Yes/No" answer can be given to this question. This obviously depends on the vehicle. Although the term "facelift" gives the idea of changes made to the external look of a car, the introduction of a facelift actually addresses known issues of the car while making enhancements and improvements to many areas. If the facelift model has undergone wiring changes and if the instrument cluster has a different layout altogether, swapping a pre-facelift instrument cluster to a facelift model will not work. At least not 100%.

So you have to first figure out if there actually are changes. Whether the connectors are similar, whether the new cluster has features that your old wiring harness does not support and so on. You obviously will be able to get an electrician to make sure that the cluster is fully operational after the installation. I'm saying that you cannot expect to "plug & play" always.

anyone know how to repair toyota premio 240 illumination dashboard lights. few smd leds are not working.

If they're "twist" type SMDs with a holder, you can simply unplug them from their socket and replace with a new one. To ensure that the bulb is really not working, you can plug in a working SMD (from another slot) and check if that works.

If the SMDs are soldered onto the board, you need to rule out the possibility of a faulty connection (damaged path maybe). You can do this by switching on the gauge cluster lights and checking the voltage between the SMDs that are not illuminating. If there is no voltage, it's probably a damaged path, a closer inspection will show you where it needs to be repaired. If not, then it's the SMD that is not working. Remove the faulty SMDs and solder on new ones.

SMDs of your choice can be bought on eBay. If you're keen, you can do this yourself. If not, let a professional electrician handle it.
