does anyone have any idea about Lancer CK1 (1300cc) does it come with RPM and P/S? because of the 1300 engine does it consume more fuel than 1500 cc cars? any input will be appriciated

yeah i noticed it too on a serious note i feel that the food that they ate was healthy and fresh cooked daily unlike the frozen stuff we eat which has a load of chemicals

you have a valid point but the thing is for my budget Protons are the nly newer ones available rest are all older cars of 16 or 17 - series all the Protons I have seen have an issue with cracked dashboards! (maybe the Malaysian build quality?) btw this is an ex Dialog car with a current employee

I got a Proton Wira checked out today its a 300- 1998 1500 CC EFI with p/s,p/w and p/m but has following issues Meters are going all over the place - RPM and Speedo ,when esp the RPM goes way up and then comes to nil dashboard is cracked clutch is slipping shocks need to be changed (all 4) check engine light is ON (any idea why?) other than above car is ok I need some help with the meter issue,does anyone know if its a printed circuit meter board for this car or nomal one? any ideas why the meters are playing up? how it can be fixed or does it need a dashboard replacement? considering the above what will be the market price for it

yeah unfortunately its practiced in sri lanka,you can try changing it to the correct reading but make the no's dont get mis-alinged.

you can easily find one in panchikawatte mate paint both bumpers black as a last option only did u buy the car recently? we like to see the pics

Did you buy this car in Jaffna mate? i know Jaffna has quite a few classics (now most are snapped up) if so i assume you got it trucked back to Colombo, 350k is a bit high for tinkering (unless it includes paintwork),you need to get a good painter and use high end pain and materials or else it will end up bubbling like hell ;0(

both are good cars but i think the Ford has a slight edge esp because its easier to get parts for it in SL The Hillman Hunter has a good body which is relatively rust free compared to the Ford

at OP failing to find a capri how about getting an Escort Mk1 and restoring it as you can find good unmolested ones easily or if your more adventurous how about an 4 Sri Ford Anglia (Yankee) ?I dont suggest the Cortina for you as they rust a lot even though they are lovely cars

For those who are restoring suddenly there seems to be a deluge of old car parts (mostly english) being advertised in another site 'i---n.lk but some are so expensive it can be bought cheaper on ebay and courierd but nevertheless if your really desperate you might want to look at it

but still he has to be somewhat good as the body pillars/frame too need to be done up if they are corroded,and chassis too when you say new body panels you refering to UK market right?

if im not mistaken no its different @ flyboy320 there is another Ford Escort being restored and it might be good if you contact him as well,if I were you i will buy an Escort and restore it to factory spec and keep it stock only extras would be alloys and AC if possible
