I have a Toyota Passo year 2007 bought unregistered and now it's mileage is 62,000. From a recent time I'm observing a small drop in oil level when runs for about nearly 1,000 KM, It drops by about 3 or 4 mm. So I fill the amount again. I use Toyota 30 as the engine oil which says can be run for 5,000 KM.
I've been told several ideas like oil should be changed to Toyota 40 since it's not the actual mileage that shows and might be much more, some said to check the engine head oil caps/ seals or something. However there is no abnormal smoke from the silencer. When recently checked for Green test it was perfect. Can I have some thoughts/ ideas or suggestions pls since I'm a bit puzzeled now. Is it really because 30 is thinner and gets vaporated and needs to change to 40 or something wrong some where. I dont think it's a oil burn thing since there is no smoke like that and no oil deposits even at the silencer tube.
Thankx.
