  1. Its funny how when the subject is relating to Thailand everyone seems to chip in...
  2. Sorry, this thread seem to have fallen off the radar. It was a KJ reg car, had it only for about a year, got it since the B4 was out of action for a few weeks, so instead of renting a car I just bought one. Although I re sold it at a profit it was rather difficult to part with, just wish I had built a house with room for 3 cars... It was not put on the track as far as I know, Do you know how to upload pics ?, I seem to be struggling...
  3. CARBON B4

    Dualis

I think its a very ugly car... its neither a proper SUV or a car, but the price is quite high for a un reg one.
  4. Wow, that a pretty big loop hole on the part of the government... will try to do it next year will save Rs 1,100/= on a utterly useless test. Hope no revenue department guys are reading this thread....
  5. I know Sti Vs Evo has been debated many a times but it looks like the EVO is the favorite choice.... well.... since I am one of those Subaru fan boys my money is on the Sti 10 for whatever its worth , Go Darin , kick some Evo a*s....!!!
  6. Thats very correct, in fact I got a cheap chinese hand drill about 6 years back one third the price of a good one, didnt expect it to last even a year, but the thing is still going strong... its not like you use it everyday.
  7. That's pretty impressive. I am sure most garages don't have it as organized as that.
  8. Well what do you know... I share the same B day with DD ! Happy belated wishes bro.... But nobody to wish me .... api kaluda ?
  9. I just got the green test done and the licence today, the test is valid for 1 year and its mentioned on the report. The revenue licence is also given for exactly ONE year, so whenever you get the licence u have to show the test report ( obviously done before) . So what u say cannot be done, unless you have taken 2 test reports, if so you can, provided the report is valid at the time of obtaining the licence which is quite logical.
  10. So , you did not check the 4WD system before buying this he .... his might help http://www.ehow.com/how_5941012_use-drive-suzuki-grand-vitara.html To add to whats mentioned by Watchman, basically in 2H, the engine wil turn only your rear wheels. This is the most fuel efficient mode, so you will almost always drive in this mode.
  11. Is this the way all your friends talk or just you ? But why would anyone want to fix another RPM meter ? or is that to show something else ?
  12. Errr... so are u saying that anyone who owns a 121 Corolla in Sri Lanka are not well off ?? Now that's typing without thinking.... The article says the chap was a marketing manager at Dialog, if I am not mistaken these guys drive their own cars.
  13. No, had white ENEKI 15' rims.
  14. Its funny how in Sri Lanka one of the " good " aspects of a car is the higher ground clearance, when in other countries people try to lower the cars.... Btw does anyone know where I can get hold of some good lowering springs ?
  15. Hey.. I saw you on the Dehiwala fly over last night, car looks nice, ... but what happened to the brand new headlights ??
  16. I am sure he is the owner , then how can they file action against a dead guy ?
  17. So basically the car has gone through the barrier and hit a rock 50 feet away ? Given the distance the impact should have been lessened, and if he was wearing the belt and the air bags got activated properly its surprising he still died, unless he was driving like at 150 or over....
  18. Wait , but are u sure something is wrong with it ? How about the new BOSHC workshop done by Dimos, supposed to be very high tec. Why don't u try it out.
  19. Correct me if I am wrong , but theoretically the RX-8 is one of the few under priced cars in SL right ? Since it comes under the 1300cc, the duty % should be equivalent to that of a 1.3 Swift, compared to a high powered 2000cc sports car. Or is there any other category/HS code since it has a rotary engine ?, I cannot recall.
  20. Ha... ha.. now thats sure to take MTV rating right to the top. Like we all watched Bay watch !!!
  21. The way most people realize the car in front has suddenly stopped is with the rear break lights coming on. But amount of the light u see is less when u are at a higher elevation ( like bus or lorry), which is a fact, and that's one of the reasons for having the high mount stop lamps. I am not trying to give any excuse for the bus drivers I am only giving ONE of the reasons why this type of accidents happen in buses.
  22. Unfortunately a lot of Sri Lankan guys don't think the way we think.
  23. 2004 Suzuki Swift sport.... it really was a yellow bullet. Lot of fun driving it.
