  1. Hasn't their service derparment improved during last few months?
  2. I am wondering wheter this sort of unavailability of parts is common for korean vehicles!!. I feel its a responsibility of an agent to brind down necessary spares for the vechiles they are selling.
  3. guys, I rechecked the RPM when the AC is kicked in, it just almost like unchanged. To veryfy whether this is the reason for the vibration when the ac kicks in (gear at D position), i just tried to give a mild accelation when the vehicle in idle(breaks applied, gear position D), then this vibration disapeared. so, now its certainthat the reason for the vibration is low rpm when ac kicks in. I am in Kandy, is there a good guarage to show this problem. (vehicle-toyota)
  4. Quite interesting site, showing the assembling process of ssangyong in Russia, http://englishrussia.com/2012/02/04/assembly-of-offroaders-in-vladivostok/
  5. Guys, Have anyone got an idea about degree of local manufacturing contribution for the ssangyong SUVs by Micro. Do they imports different body panels of rexton, kyron like suvs and assemble here or import the complete vehicle and locally source seats and other minor additions? I heard that Ideal motors sell Rexton and korando under the brand name ssangyong "not Micro"
  6. Thanks for sharing information. I have also found that they have lots of hidden charges when they do services and repairs. Guys, most people are going to this place since they are the authorized service agents for many brands (assuming they are capable of doing repairs). Can you list some of reliable places in kandy equipped well to carry out services and repairs. For body repairs i can recommend the place (whills) in polgahamula junction. I have good experiences with them. Also, as one of the member said, the place near to nittawela ground is well equipped for AC repairs. but their charges are really high
  7. Say "no" for these flashing "low grade cosmatics".
  8. Thanks Thanks MRM for clearing my doubts. Probably, this is the reason for a very marginal difference of the fuel consumption of AWD and 2WD versions.
  9. Guys, Korando has Active 4WD system, what is the difference of this compared to full time and part time 4WD. Is there any advange of going for 4WD korando instead of 2WD? Some members have commented the weaknesses (wear and tear, fuel consumption) of full time 4WD vehicles (those may be speculations). Are those problems are also associated with active 4WD vehicles also? Probably MRM may shed some light,,,
  10. Thanks, RPM is stable...
  11. Guys, I noticed a considerable vibration when AC compressor switches on/off. This is only noticeable when the car is in Idle (traffic congestions). To my feeling, this stared after the replacement of oil-seal between the auto tranny and the engine. For this the garage guys had to take apart the auto tranny. I am wondering whether they have done something wrong when reattaching the tranny!!! Thanks in advance for Expert ideas on this???
  12. On sunny days, the cooling is not adequate especially for people at the back seats, thats why i thought it is not powerful. We have a small buddy van, compared to that the the air is not cool in the Vios. Probably, something wrong with the AC system. Also, the compressor become really noisy some months back. The AC servicing guy charged some oil and then the noise decreased bit.
  13. Oh, Mine also a 2005 one. Regarding the replacement,,,Did your brother found the original evaporator or replaced with a Malaysian one in the market. I can remeber last time (2yrs ago), the repairing guy used the non geniuine one. Now it has failed agin. One more thing...is it an inherent characteristic that the AC system of vios is not powerful....
  14. Nop there is no such a filter in the evaporator assembly. Are you sure, that some vios cars came with that filter.
  15. Are you reffering the "user manual"
  16. one more advice, get your AC fully serviced at least once a year. I was a victim of busted evaporator (2 times). Replacement of the evaporator is a very tedious (unpleasent) repair to see.
  17. guys, is there somebody who got a service manual of a vios,
  18. another web idiot !!!! funny
  19. Simply, this is not relevant to me. So, not gonna post rubbish as you. That is the self decipline that Sri Lankans should have.
  20. Simply the reply is not relevant to you, so dont waste your time by posting rubbish....
  21. good news for the people who have ordered vehicles under GVT permit... There is no impact from this tax increase for their purchases.
  22. Thanks, I calculated that I have saved nearly 75000 rupees by using octane 90 instead of 95. how much a chamber clean up cost!!!!!
  23. I think the real impasct of this increase will be felt bit later. There are plenty vehicles those have been imported to the country during last monts. But, vehicle sellers may self impose those tax increases for these already imported vehicles. What are your openions about follwing 1. What would be the impact for locally assembled MICRO 2. People who have already opened (before 31st March) LCs to import vehicles
  24. good decision, noo need of spending your hard earned money to finance the government
  25. This would be the ideal scientific justification. I am not hesitate to produce my car for such a scan and come to a concusion. Can you eloborate more what components of the engine will detoriate when oct 90 is used!!!!!
