Seems the public is on panic state to buy cars, probably due to the rumours that there will be a massive tax hike on this budget. And 121 owners have started again, called a 2003 121 at quick site and,yes it's sold for 35.25. All insights were above 3.4. 2007 Allions well around 40. 110 reaching 20. And most importantly 2nd Gen prius is back on 36-38 range. Don't know will these specimens move or not.but sigh...... We are back to where we were. And driving 20 year old cars.

Actually being fairly new cars my assumption was this will be free of major hassles and neglected the additional repair costs. Yes,working at eastern provence.I omitted GP5 beacuse I need a sedan car or somewhat larger car like prius.I believe that you know what I am talking about.actually I was using a Carina I regret the decision of disposing it on this particular time. Also didn't consider insurance costs to the calculation as I was unaware about that costs.
-
on making the decision of my next car.it is absolutely a daily runner. I do run 4500Kms per month. which is average 64km drive with zero traffic per day.around 80-100kmph. two long trips around 800kms each per month. almost all the time i have no traffic. i use car daily and almost everyday and being outstation it is difficult to hang up with repairs of my old diesel. i have done some calculation based on the details i got from owners of each car.please share your views on this.this car is only for 2 year time. i have made assumptions about fuel price and market value.may someone can shed some light on.
-
And the news has already jacked up used jap baiya cars. I was on a hunt for 2011 prius since I run 4500km/month.today morning the asking price was 38-39.after this news now the owners asking for 43-45. So we are back to era of appreciation of value of used car. Sigh.

Premio - Switching From Mobil 15W-40 To Toyota Oil
chan5 replied to briansmith's topic in General Automotive
Mobil oil is usually better than generic toyota oil.atleast they are cost effective if both are same quality.I have used both on my diesel car,Mobil Delvac vs toyota.I can confidently say that Mobil is better than toyota oils in terms of noise, vibration and longevity of lubrication qualities.Toyota oil is just marketing gimmick. They outsource oils from some other manufacturers and badge them with higher price tag. -
That's a usual saying by car sale people.they always say about tax hikes whenever you ask.current regime is against the vehicle imports.so there will be tax hike. Probably on next budget. Not sure though.sudden jump of yen and doller has already took the car prices up.

Dear kid. You are quite a different fellow who worries about fuel consumption atleast without calculating exact fuel consumption of existing car. There's a gadget called calculator, get hold to one and do some maths, decide weather this additional investment is worth. In my opinion your fuel cost is justifiable on any ground. Assume you buy any decent jap,you would save 50%of your fuel cost. That is 30000/2 =15000 rs per month. According to your use You should run your new 5 million car for 27 years to cover up the investment. Common sense seems not so common as wealth.. Sigh

Red, Green Or Blue Color Coolant Suits For Suzuki Swift

Blue coolent? -
We think that your mechanic is so retarded and you should change him immediately. Coil springs are usually life long alot say.and I too believe that.there are no specific requirement to change coil spring unless you have ground clearance issue. If you really wanna try, there are used coil springs for almost any jap car.easy buy and fix.I saw on KYB part manual that they say the coil spring should be changed every 80-100k intervals . if you want a short cut, there are fabricated spaceres you can fix between shock mount and chassy.then obviously you would need longer mount bolts, and being originals are welded to mount, this will be quite difficult task. I had those spaceres on my carina when I got it,the first thing I did was removing those. Added height will cause you wobbly ride at corners, alignment isssues and vehicle stability problems, nose diving while braking. Adding stiff coils from another model will compromise your comfort, will loose every nut and bolt with time, make rattles where you cant find the origin. Coilovers are there for speciliced use cars which require handling on the expense of comfort.I believe cirolla is not one of them. To give an idea how bad the experience is,my brother has WRX STI 3 with so called hard coil springs.it shows no wobble at any corner, but it causes backache for me if I drive 50-60 km on it.you feel every rut and pot of the road.that the price he pay for handling.

Some are competently racing with FITs,Allions and still pass them easily. One bugger is boasting about passing a vezzel and published the number plate as well. Sigh..

Yes,apart from the Ethylene glycol other stuff are actually not necessary on our context where we dont have freezing temperatures. And Toyota branded oils/lubricants are not par superior as most blokes think.they outsource those and rebadge it with high price tag.that is called gullible marketing and I don't like that. Yes,a reputed Brad would do.but not necessarily the toyota branded stuff.
-
I don't think that particular coolant is necessary for a toyota. Just top up with similar colour reputed brand.like wurth or Mobil. Even though I dont believe in caltex brand, their coolent is reasonable and does the job. The job of the coolent is to dissipate heat from engine and transfer it to radiator. Even water can do it.coolent was developed for prevent the corrosion factor. And prevent freezing on snow falling countries. So coolent is something where you should not allow toyota to rip you off.

The places which comes to my mind are. 1- mahaoya to maduruoya strech upto maduruoya tank.spectacular Road with forest on both sides.if you can manage to get on the top of tha dam, theres a byway from the Buddha's statue which runs across army training school and SF camp.not to miss some elements for sure.all the roads are carpets.the byRoad ends up at Aralaganwila town which is nearby polonnaruwa. 2- kandy - mahiyanganaya Road where newly built "18 wanguwa". 3- on the bunt of weerawila lake. From Hambantota to wellawaya highway. -

Why do you go into much hassle while you can bring down, low milage m47n from UK around 300-400k.Probably a facelift common rail with all the relevant components. There some individual importers.who bring stuff for you. Recon Toyota 2CT in good nick will set you back 300k and thats without many components.mind you,2C being reliable but less refined engine, you might need genuine mounts to make it smooth.which anyway cost 60k.belive me,I drive a toyota with 2ct and you cannot supress that vibrations with any type of mounts.good bless on the welded and fabricated mounts. The simple fact that you misssing here is,"modern cars are not just some parts working independently from each other.they are interconnected by electronics and by a thing call ecu.when you place an alien on engine bay the other components may refuse to work." To give you an idea how complicated this e 46 is, (my friend had one).when you put the gear on R position, both side mirrors are tilting down few degrees so you can see where the wheels are.double press of remote key close all windows automatically and lock the car.when you switch off main lights after a long drive at night,it keeps the dim lights for few seconds so you can walk house.the list goes on and on.some of them are yet to be seen in 2015 common toyota.so there might be hundreds of coordination with engine and other components of car. Even if the car runs,I guarantee that none of the electronics will work. And remind your maka-baas to remove the fuel pump at the tank of e46 unless it will force feed fuel to 2C and which will never start. Good luck and share some images mate.

This might be hell of a work there. Please share some photos man.

The molli of 2C engine is referred to the vaccume distribution unit on the top of the engine.(PUMP ASSY, VACUUM.) just under the bonnet. I don't understand why somebody worry with the length of the engine if so called molli doesn't fit in.
