I agree with you partially. Redesign will take place after it cycle completes, But what Chrysler did was they redesign almost every car in their line up in the same year and thats unheard of. All car companies will introduced redesign cars one or 2 models per year. Not almost everything. And Dodge durangos case is total different, previous model was so bad they stoped producing it for 2 years and then re introduced to again in 2011. And that we have never heard of. It was really bad those days. Reputation that American cars had in pre 2011 era still haunts them. People still kind of hesitant to buy them in USA.

Chrysler went bankruptcy not only because of GCH its because of the majority of the models they had problems. Ex- GCH, Dodge durango (which they stoped producing for 2009 and 2010 model year and redesign it and reintroduce to 2011 model year). Chrysler 300, Chrysler 200, etc they did redesign most of their line up. And now they are doing OK. But still Buik and GMC is suffering. With the price that they sell their cars they are in the touching distance with Mercs and BMW. (I dont know about SL ut in US its like that). So you need to keep the quality with the competing brands.

Hey Well problem with 2007 GCH is that it looks cheap, And interior looks terrible, and it made out of cheap plastic. Thats why Chrysler (Which includes Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler,) Went bankrupt. SO they had to redesign most of their engines and exterior and interior. And new one looks gorgeous. All materials are soft touch. But I m sure even 2007 GCH is also very comfortable as most american cars are.

Well it depends on the vehicle you have, if u r car has a electronic immobilizer you cant start and drive the car with the duplicate key, but you can use it for open doors.

Nope I do not attached to Lankem as I m living abroad. Car is for my mum as a gift and she can use it. And 2011 GCH is amazing, but 2010 GCH is a crap. I bought it since I needed a SUV for moving stuff. But I was so hesitant about it before I bought it as I had a bad experience with the only SUV I purchased, (Which is Montero Sport in Sri Lanka). But I had no doubt about 520d as I have 528i here and its the best car I ever had.

One of my friend gave the permit for me free. Since I m living in USA car will be used by my mother cos I m giving that to my mum as a gift. But I do sell my old Montero Sport. 2011 Grand charoke I talked about is one of the car I drive here.

I did buy one and I m not full of shit, and I m not the one who says BMW 5 is better than merc E class, check out reviews of both cars and see. (E Top gear,5th gear etc etc)

I called them also they said it 6.4mil. Currently I do use 2008 Montero sport. Its ride quality is so bad. First I thought SUVs are like that then I bought a 2011 Jeep Grand Charoke and ride quality of GCH is superb. So then I realized its not the problem of SUV its the problem of Mitsubishi platform it made out of. If you speed it above 100 -120 kmph rngine RPM goes in btw 3-4000 so I decided I would never buy it.

I did order 520d. But topic says best diesel SUV so 520d is not a SUV. X3 is the SUV. But my self prefers the 5 series. Reason is 5 series competes with Merc E class and BMW X5. X3 competes with 3 Sereis and merc C class. I thought 5 series is better value for the money.

BMW X3, Just taled to prestige and its available for 9.6 mil for permit. (Diesel)

Hey what are talking about, except Toyota other vehicles are crap what a foolish statement is that. BMW and Mercs technology is way more advanced than Toyota. Toyota can only dream about making a transmission and Engine quality of a BMW. Most Toyotas have a 4-5 speed Automatic gear box where as BMW produced 8 speed gear box and giving you most important torque in low RPM range and making your car more efficient. Dont say only toyota makes good cars , Toyota is No 1 in market share due to its price, Honda makes better cars than toyota but unfortunately Honda cars are little expensive. BMW, Mercs are in different league.

Anyway Beemers are much beter than Mercs. Technology wise Beemers are more advanced now a days. And 5 Series is the similar one to the Mercs E class no harm done. Even they offer Mercs for the permit I would be buying the Beemer. As most car magazines says BMW 5 series is the complete full size sedan in these days.

It doesnt matter what others thinnk, I just let people know that for permit they did offer some cars which do have some options. Most people didnt know about BMW 5 series and BMW X3 offers for the permit.

I just ordered one and it has climate control, leatherette seats, 7 inch Display, 8 speed automatic, Rain sensor, Automatch headlights, Push button start and many more. It goes for $30,000. And First $25000 is under duty concession and the rest ($5000) full duty is applicable. And total came up to 9.6 mil. If you want a SUV they offer X3 for the same price and with same options. I think its a way batter deal than audi A4. So I went for the BMW 520d and I just ordered one on Friday.

Ha ha I would never ever buy a Toyota by spending over $ 40000. Toyota is a brand to buy below $30000. If you plan to spend more go for european brands. All Lexus in US is produced under Toyota name in Japan. Lexus is a company that they introduced to american foolish people. They didnt launch it to japan for a long time.

Hey Malaka2 why not New M class in merc. Its looks pretty good to me, I hated that model until I saw that in New York Auto show. if you can rent a car for 3 months then you can buy the new Mercedes GL, http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/suvs/1204_2013_mercedes_benz_gl_class/ Thats gonna be the best full size SUV on the market. Oh else go for BMW 5 series or BMW X5, But then again BMW X5 model replacement is due in a year. I would say not to go for any premium Japanies brands like lexus as underneeth the beefed up body its just another Toyota. Dont go for infiniti, or Acura either. Go for the German brand like Merc or BMW or Audi. If you buy a BMW it will do good in depreciation wise.

And to be frankly I dont know how they give 520d for $30,000. But it has all the std options and BMW 8 speed automatic transmission and leatherette seats. No I do not talk about any special permit, Ask from prestige motors, Any govt officers current permit is the $ 25000 USD with duty concession (which comes up to 275 * 60%= 165% payble duty) and then on top of that you can go up to $ 5000 USD with full tax. So totaling up to $ 30,000 USD permit value. We ordered a BMW 520 d for the permit. (It s a doc permit). Price of the car is 9.7 mil. LC is 3.9 mil and Rs 500,000 agent fee. Then after vehicles arrival in october we pay the rest (9.7 mil- 4.4 mil = 5.3 mil). Since this car is a 1997 cc duty is (275 % * 55% = 151.5 %). This is by far the best offer for the permit. If you want a SUV you can buy the X3 which is the same price. And the best thing is you can drive a beemer and you dont have to pay any semi luxury tax or luxury tax. (because engine CC is below the tax limit).
