  1. Not that I know of
  2. Still you show off daff bugger, Owe you? Nah whatever happens during the drags the owners should bear the loss/damage and make use of those no claim bonuses and hefty insurance premiums paid to insurers annually. anyways, good of you to turn up that beast as is, I'm glad.
  3. Not metro I guess, knew a friend who used to take some honda boys for rides along baseline with his mini which had 1300 metro fitted.
  4. Point taken. Don't know whether it's just me, but the real thril of a drag is there only when you do it illegally. Having said that, organisers should take care of pedestrian safety.
  5. how about using an electronic flasher? was always wondering, using load resistor means destroying the energy efficiency which can be achieved using LEDs?
  6. What's the spec of the mini cooper Jami? Well looked after stock mini cooper can eat any 1500CC modern car alive, simply, EFI engines are vay too slow (without VTEC/ VVT) compared to well tuned carb engines. Some easy, quick tips to gain more power without spending too much money, can be high performance plugs and a set of wires and just on the ocassion you can run without the air filter element (saves some bucks otherwise spent on a K&N)
  7. Dude you serious? you wanna NOS for this very first drag we're gonna organize after a long time ? remember, there are novices, so let's embrace them rather than trying to scare them out, let them get to know what drags are, then take it forward while developing a new genre of dragsters. I'd say, even stock cars should be allowed, first come first serve basis you show off daff bugger!
  8. Was doing some searching for LED and HID recently on ebay and it was very obvious the 24V LEDs available. However, you will have to replace your thermo-electrical signal flasher to an electronic one or else the flasher won't work properly. Parking bulbs of course won't be an issue.
  9. True, but there were some developments, esp some engines they jointly developed, so some components must be shared.
  10. isn't it unfair by the guys who doesn't have much mods but powerful enough and has the talent than those who only has a machine lacks talent? let's give those stock cars a chance too, anyways seems like you're involuntarily became the organizer
  11. True, there are many members here who would want to take part in this if not for you, so respect! Be serious, we'll respect you as a participant.
  12. Guys, seriously, out of jokes, let's make it a reality for the sake of people who would want to take part yet couldn't do so due to various reasons, be it not having a good ride or not getting enough information of whereabouts of drags. I think using the forum openly isn't a wise idea but yes, at least to organize first hand things and to determine the place to gather first, the forum can be used. Later, the crowd can decide on an exact place and proceed with drags, so confidentiality is there. Who takes the honor of head in organizing committee
  13. wonder they send it badgeless and our guys doing the badging part, otherwise those letter cannot be awfully same the ones you find in S*n L*nka :D Let alone using those letters, whoever did the job didn't know what a straightline means, makes me puke looking at it, seriously.
  14. Sent a PM about a mechanic. Check usual European spare parts joints in Panchikawatta including Ideal Automotive. Washer pump can be sourced through bay of E I guess.
  15. Absorbed! for clear plastics I do use B-cut super and brasso, it worked all the time, should try this 3M stuff anyway
  16. I don't see a point to prove through this poll as overpriced Toyota prices should come down. But what actually has happened was under-priced Nissans, such as FB15 for an example, has shooted up in price as oppose to the prices of AE110s
  17. What are the spare parts you're looking at ? Some spare parts are commonly used in PSA platform, so Citroen or Peugeot parts and Valeo parts might fit.
  18. let's say both, usually the case is scratches. No project or task close by, but just to comprehensive my inventory as this is something I never tried.
  19. Very spacious? hell no, I've been to a friend's CAMY (the base model of this Chinese replica) and it was cramped than an AE100 I felt. If you consider the small space behind the rear seat, yes it could be but a Palathsabha model Pajero would be a better bet all around than wasting money on a vehicle like this.
  20. Tried swapping the HI and Low last night but failed as the lights I have are H3 but through a small modification I managed to fix it to the high beam as bulb hole of the high beam reflector is small. But the bulb hole of the low beam is bigger and cannot secure the bulb. Either I have to find two burnt out H7 bulbs and do another modification or donate the H3 to the Golf and buy another pair of H7. Till then the current ones will be used on high beam. one question, does the ignitor waste for on/off when the light/GAS is hot and charged? or it only waste for the first switch on after a long switched off period.
  21. I feel like rearend this "SUV" everytime I see those badges on the rear door, it's like saying the entire world, "Hi there, I'm just a pile of crap came out of nowhere". Ever noticed all the badges including word ZOTYE is made out of those aftermarket generic letters which you can buy from a shop in Darley road?
  22. oh, nothing to do with the vehicle, it's the driver then Seems the vehicle is 'used to' drive in that speed so, speeding at once can be tough but will be alright if you push the engine bit far and get it 'used to' drive in those speeds, always worked for me
  23. any branded rubbing compound good for plastics? just to add to my inventory
  24. done already
  25. There comes the THE POLISH MAN (newest addition to marvel comics ) I assume the B-cut super I used and super-cut are the same?
