  1. what is the current actual mileage (do you have maintenance records from previous owners) ? any information on ATF change at 40000km and multiples of that ?
  2. What is the price and warrenty ? seems it is a sealed battery
  3. Then my suggestion is to get done a proper engine check and tuneup at the agents, according to the service manual it has to be done every 40000km for vehicles with normal spark plugs using unleaded petrol. There is a ton of valuable information on CSx in this thread and I hope you will enjoy your new ride
  4. can it be a simple mistake when entering chassis number in the book? can you please check the chassis number in the identification plate whether is it CS1 or CS2 ? Anyhow regarding your initial question on fuel consumption , is it a carb or EFI engine ? any engines misses or bad emission test results? I wonder if it is actually a replaced engine, how can we find the exact engine mileage without any documents? Just for my information, Is the transmission of CSx is different from each other ? i.e. Can we just swap the 4G13 engine with 4G15 without swapping the transmission?
  5. Just did a google search on this code, it seems many are having the same problem
  6. Thanks all, at last I finished the project There was two clips underside also which was not in the video I posted before when removing the front bumper. Also colour of the wires were blue & black not as 2 black in the service manual. I had to do custom wiring from the A20 connector for my aliexpress fog lamps Fog lamp (A20) connector: Finished project:
  7. just for my information, in good old days, 12V battery was only needed to start the engine, after starting alternator will provide enough power, isn't it same in these hybrid cars? i don't have any experience on hybrids that is why I am asking
  8. Is it a 1.3L CS1 or 1.5L CS2 ?
  9. Thanks for the info I never knew it and though it is a 4G15 so both CY & CZ has different engines than Orion or Sirius
  10. Same thing happened to mine, there was little rust around and the inside the break cylinders. Recently, there was a small leak in one cylinder and replaced all 4 washers in both sides with Seiken 3/4" (exact model number is 14R56C or some thing like that) and replaced break fluid with Seiken BF3 (now break fluid is transparent in the reservoir, before that the oil was bit darker). Total cost was Rs.2300/= including labour at the local garage. Anyhow, I have the 3rd breakpad set in the front, now using MK breakpads and seems good. I couldn't find Sumotomo (original one from factory) from anywhere (other than the agent of course).
  11. My service manual says, Except 4A9, 6B3, 3B2 replace every 40000km or 2 years for coolant and for 4A9, 6B3, 3B2 engines replace first at 160,000km or 8 years, then every 100,000km or 5years, What is the engine of CY2? Isn't it a 4Gxx ? Break fluid, replace every 40000km or 2 years Engine oil, replace every 15000km or 1 year, although we are changing it every 5000km or 6 months here
  12. Thanks as lot @Davy@trinity@Sampath Gunasekera@Clark'sson@iRage for valuable information, I was able to find the culprit and sort it out. Sorry for bothering you guys so much I was working with thought that fog switch is fine from the beginning, as seller mentioned that this switch has both front and rear fog lamp switches in one package. Now, I checked the continuity between pin 1 & 2 when pressed, nothing happened, but I was "connected" when i checked between 5 & 6 pins. According to service manual, "Pin 1-2 Front, Pin 3-4 lamp in the switch and Pin 5-6 Rear". So It seems I had a rear fog lamp switch. So, I opened it up and swapped the internal mechanism to other side and made it a front fog lamp switch I also noted in C-01 fog lamp switch connector, the ping 5-6 are not present in the harness too (if I need rear fogs lamp, I have to rewire from the beginning). Now I can measure 12V between "A-24 Spare connector for Front Fog Lamp" and GND Only thing remaining is installing fog lamps and connecting the wires Switch internals swap Dash board light Spare fog lamp connector location
  13. What about air bag ? did they tell you it is not needed to replace it on your CY?
  14. Just saw this will they replace even now ?
  15. I got a used MR506515/19 Trim piece from a CT9A and fixed fog switch neatly. Also got used MR538851 Omron Relay and fixed it also. I also removed dash board to check whether fog lamp indicators bulbs are missing as suggested in the forum. Guess what, it seems that my cluster is a quite sealed unit and no place to change lamps easily (is it with surface mounted LED ???). I didn't try to dismantle the whole thing. I also notice that there is only one wire harness plugs in contrast to other CS which has 2 wire harness plugs at the dashboard. Before going to fix the fog lamps I wanted to make sure all electrical connections are ok. So, I tried to measure voltage at "Relay coil" pins at the engine bay relay panel and even when I press the fog switch voltage was 0V (between 1-3 pins). I checked the same between 1-3 pins of horn relay and it becomes 12V when I press the horn. I wonder is there any missing wires (I found this post on EVO but not sure whether it is applicable to this. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/evo-how-tos-installations/649095-how-mr-headlight-fog-light-wiring-gsr-using-oem-button.html#post10694835) or any option code programming to be done to the ECU I also tried to swap the relay @Davy pointed out with comparing with @Sampath Gunasekera's one to other way but there was no change. Any insight on this is really appreciated. Dashboard cluster: Front ECU:
  16. Did you end up with buying this ? can you share the experience with us There are very limited number of Veradas here and should have been imported from Australia.
  17. This video was really helpful to relocate the AC controls. Otherwise I would have broken parts
  18. Hi guys, Thanks for the valuable insights. Infact I found that my front shell is exact same as the CH lancer at Aussie. I found below videos are very helpful and wanted to share with you. Dashboard Disassembly: Front Bumper Disassembly (same bumper I have):
  19. I found no difference in RHD & LHD drive cars radio panel other than AC temperature and mode selector round labels in different sides. I just swapped those stickers
  20. Hi guys, Thank you very much for the support and valuable information. As pointed out, I tried to shed a light at an angle and found two fog indicators as below. But when I checked with the switch (I have one button switch for both exactly like what @Sampath Gunasekera & @trinity has) neither of them lighted up. I will check whether there is any lamps behind them.Funny thing is there is no place in the rear bumper to mount rear fog lamps I also checked the cabin fuse box and found the fog fuse (rear ???) is already there. I also noted that there are many relays but no indicative panel on them mentioning the which is for what. It is crazy to find a CRUISE control fuse also there but I haven't seen any CS with cruise control. I will update the progress and thanks all for the kind support.
  21. Guys, I need some info on plugging fogs to a CS3. Thanks in advance. I got a fog lamp switch and plugged it and put the relay to the position mentioned in the fuse box in the engine compartment. But when I push the button there is no indicator on the dash board. It seems there is no place for a fog lamp even in the dash board Is this the connector ( near horn) should I connect the power wires of the fog lamps ? If anybody has photos can you please share I connected fog lamp switch as below near the side mirror switch.
  22. I have the similar one but a CS3, I had to wait about 6 months after ordering , it came without the alloy wheels but 4AT with Sports mode gearbox. The gauge cluster also different with orange colour display. CS1 came with alloy wheels like this at that time.
  23. Did you end up buying the lancer?
  24. When I check about 4G18 turbo sometime back online, mostly I found that compression with turbo will be too high for engine head in 4G18, also most of the people don't have 4G18 as it is only available for certain markets. I think it will be easier to swap the engine, May be 4G63T from Evo or some other engine from CS5 or CS9 if it is cheaper.
