  1. thanks. I don't have an idea about a brand to buy yet. So i checked a general site (http://www.tyresizecalculator.com/tyre-wheel-calculators/tyre-size-for-rim-size-width-calculator) According to that for 7.5 Width and 40 profile, ideal is 215 or 225 and the max i can go to is 235. So there goes my 245 plan
  2. has anyone seen how the tire on Vezel Z Hybrid sits on the Rim ? Rim is kind of nestled in within the tire. Is that a new tire design ? http://picture1.goo-net.com/061/0610001/J/0610001A30141006W00108.jpg
  3. Yes the ride is stiff. that's why i wanted to change the width and get a height change. Going to 45 profile is a too bigger change according to tire size calculator sites. My Rim specs are 19 * 7.5J. So i am not sure whether i can fit 245/40s which seems to be a readily available size as opposed to 225/40 & 235/40
  4. Hi, I am currently running 225/40R19 Toyo Proxes C1S LRR Tires which came as a manufacturer option (Stock Tire 215/55R17). I am thinking of moving to 245/40R19 to improve the ride quality as it will increase the height of the tire without having to change the wheels. Thought about 225/45 as well but looks like its hard to find in R19 Size. 245 is well within (1.54% diff) the recommended 3% variance of the original diameter but are there are any other things that i need to check? And what are the tire brands that i should look for ? Thanks.
  5. I think both Kobe and Sterling warranty stipulates that you go to their recommended service agent for service. Before you go to any other place (even agents) you better double check whether it voids your warranty.
  6. From what i heard the Japanese cars were not much impacted with this valuation fiasco. I have used the values of some Japanese models from this site recently and they r closer to the current custom FOB valuations. But unless its a common model this site won't help i guess. The conflict was mainly on the valuation of European models. (Ex: The valuation of BMW 520d Varies by about 7000 dollars between new and old valuations.)
  7. I need to remove and reattach the front lip of my car as it was not done correctly. What can i use to remove the double side tape that was used to attach the lip to the bumper? Also can anyone recommend a shop to buy rubber beedings (not sure what the correct name is) that are used in the gap between lip and bumper ?
  8. try this. http://vial.lk/fob_front_list.php?make=pls%20enter&model=&hs=&seq_no This was correct when the importers and customs were nice to each other. After customs went to war with importers over valuations recently not sure how accurate these values are though
  9. Out of curiosity anyone knows what's going on with Allion/Premio Duo @ Toyota ? They again released a minor refresh yesterday with minimal changes as opposed to a full model change. As i recall the current model was released in 2007/6. That is like more than 7 years for this model (NZT260), which is Unusual as most toyota cars get a full model change within 6 years.

  11. The problem with Vezel like vehicles is that there is very little documentation available in English. And all the information/warnings shown in the car displays are in japanese. So you really don't know what the vehicle is trying to say For example one of my friends got a warning about the ctba(City Break Assist) system in japanese and it did not go away until the car was turned off and started again.
