Quite right. You see Toyota, Honda and other car companies advertise their stuff. But do you see anything for FORD...? Nope What the agents advertise is three wheelers and Cherry QQ.... I guess they are mad /big Daddy

I think the Ford has more body curves than Mazda. But surprise to see the market value is less than Mazda. Also like you said everything is the same inside. The car is a Auto one and mileage 72000. I am not quite sure about the timing belt. And it is 1.5 Lt. What do you think the best price for this car is? /big Daddy

Well the asking price is 14/= Car is in good condition. Full Option, Original Ford Alloys, Fog Lamps, CD setup and Security alarm. What do you think? /bid Daddy

Hi Guys, Does anyone know the market value of a FORD laser 2000 model car? The car is 2000 brand new, full option and the number is 302-. I have seen HY numbers going for 13/75. Also I have seen Mazda (2000 model) going for 14/25. Is there a big difference in the market value between Ford and Mazda? /bigDaddy

I purchased a security system for my FORD from a place at Chithra Lane (near Asiri). I think the name is WestStar. 6849/= for it and it comes with basic options. No remote start or boot opener. But the product is good and it has a nice key tag. Also they have more expensive stuff also. Give a ring and see. /big Daddy.

It is always best to take the car to agents for a diagnostics. I have a Laser and I took it to couple of places other than agents. Well they did not do a good job. I suggest take it to agents, get a diagnostic done and then look for a place where you can get it done without any problems.

Thanks Don... Will use an aditive and see. Where can I buy this (Abro)? I don't think it is a big problem as the noise goes away after sometime..

Some mechanic told me something simmilar. He told me to change the engine oil. I use Castrol formula RS and I did not want to change it. I think mechanic told me to use Mobil.

When i rev up the car the noise goes away and when the engine is in working teprature, the noise is not there. This happens only when I start in the morning. Should I take it to a mechanic and get it adjusted or is this normal?

No it idles around 1300-1500 when i start and after some time gose down to 700. Then the noise is not there. Only when I start I get the tappet noise.

Hi Guys, I have a Ford 2000 model car. When I start in the morning there is noise generated from the tappets. This remains for 2 - 3 minutes and goes away. Do I need to take it to a mechanic and adjust the tappets? Does the noise go away with the circulation of oil? Appreciate all your ideas...

Hi Guys, I have a Ford Laser 2000 model car. I am interested in getting a Performance air intake (K&N) fixed. How can I do this? Do I need to change the existing tubing? There is a mass air flow sensor also in the tubing. Any ideas ? Thanks
