But if you want touch deep of your heart with proud feeling of your car go for grace. I mean it an ultimate pleasure to have nice pretty stuff if you want to use longer period.

panda and K11 are not fuel efficient. Most of the 1.5L sedans do better than them. Also PANDA is not a durable machine for use. As one of friend (Auto Eng.) worked for Micro and told that never to buy panda b'coz after 50k gear box should have few issues. As i know it does around 8km/ltr and same as the K11. Kelisa doesn't have good market here in srilanka. So i think you better to think some thing else. Alto will be a good option and incase you don't like you have to adjust your budget or go for 300- one. AE100 will be the best one if you can find a good one. Finally my thought is don't go any of given 3 vehicles.

The millage you expect with 6 year old will be hard to find out. Specially most of them came as reconditioned. If you really need wait until budget. There is discussion of reduce engine capacity tax. With your budget then you may find slightly newer one. Good luck ?

I think CK2 is in your range.. CK1 -1300cc will not give you expected power. Galant petrol 2000cc engine got the power as well as decent+sport look. If you want to sporty more than that Nissan Preasea will be the option. But it is not powerful as Galant. If you don't consider fuel go for galant... it is fun to ride, not much on the road and trouble free car with heavy strcuture.

My simple answer is don't go for KIA or Hyundai... I have very bad experience with Kia Rio. It contain with all facilities comfort, pickup and decent look. But fuel efficiency is very low. Even without A/C it did around 8 in non traffic areas. Also you will have to spend your leisure time in garages. I use it nearly one year and sold out. For you budget I think FB14 will be bit of difficult to find with good conditions. Also FB14 is not recommended for good fuel figures. I think it is better you would wait until budget if you could. `If you are in rush to buy i suggest you Toyota AE100. which will satisfy your needs.But still the value of it will be reduced after the budget.

Trish - As you comment on government policies, this is poor management strategies show only based on election. But they did not consider the fact that effected parties due to tax variance. Specially vehicle importers and sales will be in real trouble due these fluctuations. I have a doubt that this may increase again after the election. For heavy traffic in city area can be reduce by implement below suggestions, 1. Limit personal vehicle entrance to city- ( Need to make proper car parking around city and luxury/semi luxury public transportation should arrange from park to city- This can be a big earning for government if corruption wasn't there). 2. Increase no.of trains and buses including facilities. 3. Promote private companies (inside the city)to supply transport facility to there employees. 4. Acknowledge drivers to avoid traffic creation due to poor driving styles. specially three wheel drivers

As gossip sites said they going to reduce taxes of electric cars and below 800cc. please reply if anyone can guess the value of below vehicals after the budget, 1. Alto 800 2. Suzuki Wagon R 3. Nissan leaf Thanks in advance

Guys, my Kia Rio 2003 Auto is giving some troubles since few weeks. Biggest issue is vibration after starting when vehicle is not hot( specially morning and evening after off from office)just after starting it is vibrating and after transmit to D it takes few second and try to move but vehicle vibrating and can not accelerate in that time. But vehicle doesn't move as normal vehicle. It runs with a miss. In P it also cannot race. Also petrol smell is there near silencer. After 1-2 minute time it comes normal and moves nicely and no issue with pickup. EFI tuning was done 1 month ago. Clean the petrol filter also. Dear expert could please give your assumptions regarding this.

It was found over heating issue since 2,3 months of my Kia Rio 2003 wagon. Some times even in long run it goes only 25% of heat meter. Some times heat up even with short run. Checked Radiator but no issue found. Changed the radiator cap. After that i found cooling fan does not work at a time. Then i switch off and start again. So fan start to work. Also when heat goes up coolant filled to back up tank. No issue with the Gasket. Verified by a technician. Please give me your valuable technical ideas on this and the price of this type of fan or what are vehicals which having same type of fan.

Nissan wingroad also an option with slightly newer than above discussed models. But it is not so good with fuel comparing to corrolla. N16 / N17 affordable this range also some what good on fuel. If you could extend your budget bit more HONDA CITY 2004/2005 models will deliver everything you expect.

Go to HONDA CITY comfort and fuel efficiency ins there. But finding spares will bit of difficult and maintenance cost of Honda is in high side. But it is value for money and stylish. Though corrolla is very good in fuel but all of these ran over 2.5k. Mazda and N16 are not fuel efficient than these. Vitz old model is not good at second hand market.
