  1. Thanks for the info everyone! I was ill these few days & had a bad sprain, have to try the solutions now. Also, about the connection string @Davy, is there any chance the application could start with a misguided string? I'm a noob so still figuring things out. Pressing the 'service based database' button in 'new item' is enough to bring about the warning.
  2. This message box comes up everytime I try to create or access a database. Tried stackexchange & even one of my lecturers went blank seeing it. Tried re-installing visual studio and that didn't help either. Can anyone here lend a hand? Thanks in advance!
  3. In Sri lanka, what would happen if your car is involved in an accident and it's difficult/impossible to find parts for it? If you drive some old rare japanese model and you still can't find body parts for it even after several months of searching, will the insurance compamy write the car off or take some other course of action?
  4. That's one nice lady! Congrats!
  5. Also does the E-brake even engage in motion? I was told that the Vezel E-brake won't activate in motion. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  6. Typical belief: Super petrol = Super performance, neh? My old maths sir used to pump 95 in his 110cc scooter saying it increases mileage & performance. Can't lecture my maths sir now can I?
  7. The every has an Automatic transmission, not CVT. So ATF is what you want.
  8. Oops..sorry,wrong petrolhead. It was @kush, I just checked! Also the fuel economy is not best in class either.
  9. Yup, don't know if the situation has improved. @matroska had a picanto IIRC.
  10. That's like asking if srilanka or india is better. You got to describe in what aspect? Which model? Kia maintenance is expensive (as far as the picanto is concerned)
  11. But that girl on the driver seat represents the typical millenial who doesn't love driving.
  12. And that too on a swift. I love you guys
  13. VW emissions team agrees.. Meanwhile suzuki newzealand's website spits out a 4.8m minimum radius. Meh, not gonna lose sleep over this.
  14. So they left the country? Sad same happened to namal rajapaksha's Shelby I heard?
  15. So gooexchange is over-rating?
  16. Just reminded me, I drove a rover mini few months back. And compared to the swift, its radius was only slightly better..by slightly, I mean slightly, by around a feet or two, though that thing is nano compared to the swift. So what I have learned here is size is not directly proportional to turning radius, agreeing to @ajm's explaination. Also checked gooexchange. Lancer has a 2.6m wheelbase & 5.9m radius, swift has a 2.3m wheelbase & 5.2m radius. So its pretty normal then? Also the swift is classified as a 'supermini' in the UK so I guess I can't complain about the turning radius. Time to practice more on those 3 pointers...here we go!
  17. Might as well just sit still & surf through AL lol
  18. Oh yes. Their yard is humungous, you gotta see it to believe it. He has a petrol station, 2 big scrapyards, a windscreen house, accident repair facility, paint shop & his own race team. When I went there to get a coolant hose, I was getting frustrated of waiting for the guy who took my sample to show up. Later I got up & went inside to see him, in the middle of a big pile of coolant hoses, trying to find one that matches mine? I saw three M13 & 2 M15 engines when roaming there too. I'm sure you will find the stuff. Good luck!
  19. Has anyone removed their car's steering rack limiter? Those things that look like a piece of cut PVC pipe that's hidden inside a rubber gaiter on the front axle? I know it's there to prevent the wheels from rubbing against anything. But I'm just toying with the idea of removing mine because in my area, it's hard to do a u-turn/park sometimes (in a compact hatchback, doing a 3-point u-turn just kills the whole point of a compact car). The swift runs on 14 inch 185/70 tyres on all four sides. But there's tons of space in there that even a bit more of turn angle wont hit anything. You could start a tiny coconut plantation in there. But even if it were to rub, at slow speeds a tiny rub won't kill anything and if I can get used to the steering position which misses the 'rubbing' by a tiny bit, i'd be alright. Right?
  20. It does add a sense of character to those cars right? When they are hidden or dont run much. Say, you have any idea about what happened to that Challenger & Charger hellcats (left hand drive models) that spent some time here 2 years ago?
  21. Oh yes that one is a big deal breaker here in sri lanka. We inspected a sweet EK3 Civic Vi-Rs and just gave up on it after looking at the GC because there are tons of places we need a car to go to and this wasn't helping.
  22. Try to go for the swift, it's more refined, has more power, more fun to drive, better looking interior & better looks too!
  23. Yes I remember seeing that too! A grey one. Sucks ti be an enthusiast here because the cheapest performance vehicles tend to be rare here!
  24. I'm sure jayasiri motors in mawanella has the stuff but the thing is it's far for you I guess (90km from colombo). Google them to get their number & contact details.
