  1. Aiyo! The S was actually from the original car, the fake badging threw me off, wow that actually do look like an actual S63 wtf. Moving on my obsession with Initial D I shall grace your presence with this one: Hint: It matches the Halloween theme pretty nicely (If you're a fan you'll get it else it'll confuse you )
  2. Oh the color was 041? I think mine is 040 aka "Super White"
  3. I thought the C43 and C63 had those weird mustach looking diffusers? Only thing I can think of is the S Class? The last time the Germans United as such (M Sport, AMG, RS) they created the Panzer ?
  4. ooh interesting, gonna wait and see who gets it then o.0
  5. Oh god imagine buying this car (you need some considerable money) and then sticking an R and and S badge to it ? On second thought I can spare some time, I deduce that it is a Ricedeze Bathz C Class (the new one)
  6. @fiat fan @Kavvz that's SL alright, near the walking path behind the parliament, there's a hospital there as well, pretty beautiful, there's a junction with an Army run shop and across the road people set up shops (inside their cars) and sell stuff. I'm bad at explaining where it is so here's a link https://goo.gl/maps/bDykrNshfCg9WbGR7 Roads around the parliament are perfect for flooring it ?
  7. Go ahead bro, poddak busy with work today
  8. Definitely reminiscent of TinTin artwork
  9. https://maxima.org/forums/7th-generation-maxima-2009-2015/692358-side-mirrors-supposed-tilt-reverse.html Looks like its off if you keep the mirror control in the middle position (like any decent human being would do ? ) @IndulaC I'm seeing posts about the tilt thing but no complaints about it not going back to normal after you're out of R. Might wanna check it out.
  10. Hahahah! Great post! Another Starlet owner who can't swim ? Cute little car, been thinking of swapping a 4EFTE on my EP91 as well (Different pistons, manifold, springs, turbo) should easily do it, not sure about the process of a 2E to 4EFTE conversion, saving up the money will be the issue ahhaha, I was quoted 300k for a 4EFTE swap with the Glanza Auto 5 Speed box. If you have the chassis code you can type it into ToyotaDIY.com and see the trim and color it left the factory with, should help you in identify what trim (DL/XL or whatever it left the factory was). If you want some mildly "specialist care" (although he'll never admit to it) I can recommend my mechanic since a lot of the Starlets (Also the people who have made businesses out of modifying Starlets ) put their car there, but I'm sure you've already got your own thing set up.
  11. @iRage this would be my friend who was hunting for Mark X's a couple of weeks back ?
  12. Oof so that's where it was from, that shifter seemed so familiar but I couldn't place it from where
  13. Since you're looking at Toyotas, run the chassis code on ToyotaDIY.com, it will tell you the car trim, model, engine, gearbox, color it originally left the factory in. (People like to do what is called Upbadge their cars) As for the Luxel vs 121 debate I've only been in a 121 so I can't say much
  14. Are they connected to the ThrustSSC that holds the world landspeed record? Or does SSC stand for something?
  15. After looking at the prices of Big Brake Kits, I was wondering why DIY dual caliper setups aren't a thing in SL?

@iRage so I was looking at Brake Upgrades for the Starlet and Big Brake Kits costs in the 1000+ Euro range often hitting prices of 3500-4000 etc.

Regardless I'm thinking of getting Brembo disks and Pads (should cost me about 30k) for both side (they don't sell calipers so I won't be able to bag that clout) but I'm wondering why dual calipers aren't a thing because it seems like a good alternative to increase stopping power without raking the big bucks.

I've linked a ChrisFix video of what I'm talking about but he combined it as a hydraulic brake

Well...dual calipers are quite common amongst drifters....that way they can run two different brake lines for different applications...standard brake and hydraulic e-brake.

For standard road cars it is more or less a matter of running costs....for starters...you might need to increase boost...thus larger brake booster...then they need to be balanced (to run properly) so you might need four-way proportioning valves to balance it out (then you have to make sure it remains balanced) . Then there is the issue of brake wear and tear...chances are that the pads might actually wear out at different intervals (i.e. at different rates).; so there is the cost of the pads and the cost of the labor.

So when you consider all those....going with four-pot upgrades (or any other for that matter) gives you a better bang for the buck.

What a lot of people do is they buy used sets. Sometimes you get refurbished/ and certified ones from manufacturers, if not you just buy it and refurbish it yourself.

Having said that...why do you need a big break kit ? planning on increasing power ? If you are keeping the stock engine with mild tune-ups...then perhaps the starting point would be better disks (ventilated, slotted, ?) and better pads...followed on by braided brake lines, etc...or even upgrading the rear drums to disks (direct fit a Glanza/GT rear).

With big brake kits you typically would have to replace the mount plates, backing plates, etc..(sometimes the kit comes with it); plus then you need to look in to the booster, etc...so...yeah...they are not cheap.

@iRage thinking of doing a 4EFTE swap (while keeping the outside of the car and interior close to stock as much as possible, a sleeper build if you will) I'm still waiting on a good lump and a deal, but would want to get everything ready before that (Suspension, Brakes etc) sometime next year hopefully.

I've also already made plans for a Glanza V dashboard because I really want that touch AC Unit which showed up in the last run high spec models ?

  16. Also posting this gem here because I couldn't find the shitposting thread, admins don't kill me. <post had been already posted here lol>
  17. If it's Volvo-ish and closer to Skoda by name, perhaps it's a SAAB?
  18. Are those clothpegs?
  19. This car is so pretty, I feel comfortable just looking at it!
  20. I think Tesla is a bit of a outlier in this business because it sells in a quite similar manner to an iPhone. Heck I wouldn't be surprised if people wouldn't camp outside dealerships to buy the 'latest Tesla' overnight if that was possible. They also have a similar approach to fixing your item (Your car can't be fixed by yourself or your mechanic, need to go to a Tesla Authorized place) because you don't 'own' your item (There's a lobbying group against Tesla and Apple, more on Right to Repair). And most EV enthusiasts are Tech Enthusiasts and not Car Enthusiasts (Although there can always be an overlap) And to say legacy manufacturers will be left in the dust is difficult to say, Toyota Corolla still is the best selling car in the world and is growing and the since the companies are massive they can buy their way into any IP they want. (Ford buying Rivian F150E? E150? it'll be cool anyway). Regardless the top 10 cars sold in the world are not EV so there's no point in investing heavy right now for them. In the next five years EV won't be the name of the game, Hummer just launched its EV Truck with a 1000 horsepower and Honda is coming out with E. They're still testing the water but when push comes to shove they'll definitely be able to pivot (They're a bit smarter than we give them credit for)
  21. Oh wait what, that was off a Malaysian Sellers page Identity theft I say!
  22. Hey, I saw this car! It parked next to mine at the Borella Fashion Bug!! Saw a lady and a gent get out of it, know the model but will let someone else take a shot. Whoever the owner is: Clean car m8!
  23. Chinese with their weird names at it again, I went in a 'KingLong' bus once, no complaints though, with the Rolls Royce Esq tiny lights in the headliner. Was trying to pull a fast one by cropping the image as such so it looks like a Honda but looks like I have failed, your turn iRage
  24. Danke, keeping up the Initial D references here's one with the 'missufiringsystem'
  25. I won't laugh at Cappuccinos because one came too close to beating Takumi in Initial D ?
