  1. Hi Guys, I am thinking about going for a new Car with comfort and Less Internal vibrations even at 80-110Kmph. Looks like our family is getting extended and I am gradually becoming responsible about small matters. I have ridden a M6 '14, WagonR, BJ5P and even an Indian Alto(Which I use now). The budget would be very much limited (So no M6 again). But I am keen on going for a reliable vehicle, as family matters most. Hope to see your suggestions. I look mainly about Less Vibrations, Internal comfort, and Easiness in Maintenance.
  2. It didn't catch up my mind as the first thing I did was changing atf and oils. But imo it did exist and this only happens when the engine is cool. But compared to my previous experience with m6 the pickup is pretty much less. It's like suffocating, not revving. But though I try accelerating and moving it bearly moves, only when the engine Temp is cool. But doesn't happen when it's heated. It doesn't happen even if the 2nd gear is moved. But works ok when it's heated up, could be a normal thing but I had a guess because my home is in a hilly place. But compared to my M6 earlier, the pickup was pretty less.
  3. It was recent , around 2 months back
  4. Hi, I recently bought a BJ5P, In my Mazda BJ5P, I face an issue where it's very hard to climb a steep, when the Engine heat level is cold (Just after starting the Vehicle), Is this normal with this vehicle, or is this something to be addressed.
  5. Keen to know, did you have the RPM meter on your meterboard?
  6. Hi, there is a car for a decent budget, but has some issues with Rust in the underside of it. Whats the best way to fix this issue on body work level or is this fixable at all?
  7. bump!
  8. Hi, What are the common issues with Mazda BJ5P? What are the things to check if you are going to buy a BJ5P
  9. Thanks @iRage , this explains a lot as always ❤️
  10. Hello, I have a question. I owned a couple of vehicles so far and each time I start them, I have the precautious habit of keeping it on N till the engine Oil heat/cool sign disappears. I know that it means engne oil has to be spread along the critical parts of the engine when it arrives to the desired heat. But.... Having said it takes around 5 minutes for that to happen, so is it a must for the new vehicles to wait that long before putting into drive?
  11. Thank you for all the suggestions. Will check these out
  12. Thanks Guys! ❤️
  13. Hi, I have got a 2014 YOM Wagon R FZ. But it looks to be having some issues with fuel efficiency as it only does 15-16 on City limits (Where by I have heard it should be doing more than 18Km/l) So a few questions: 1. If this is not expected, what are the immediate actions that I can do to increase my fuel efficiency (Because my first choice of the car was about size and fuel) 2. What are the other best fuel-efficient car options available (Hybrid and non-hybrid models)?
  14. Is there a way or a place where I can get a real mileage assessment technically of a vehicle.
  15. Thanks Boss, this is what I was expecting. Any recommended mechanic who has some expertise with this kindof work?? They are, but I was having doubts as the older ones do tend to be more buggy at times.
  16. I might not be technically sound to raise this question. But, just asking for broader clarity. I haven't used an older classic in the recent times, but it is said there could be issues while going on longer trips, low amount of spare parts in the market, bla bla bla. But just keeping in mind if I am a Makabaas who wants to keep the chassis as it is an just change the other Engine/Gearbox mechanics, would this be an ideal choice to revisit. The car in my mind now is Datsun B211, and I am interested if it would work if I swap the engine of this with one of a FB-15 or anything later where we can find parts anywhere in the market. What would be the ideal engine to swap this with. Is there any guideline to check if I am making an Engine Swap.
  17. Mainly would be like grocery runs and the unplanned once a fortnight trips. Sold my M6 the previous week, so now trying to find a low budget one which apparently has rose close to double the previous price
  18. Thanks bro, but atm I am looking for a more fuel efficient one.
  19. What is the best option to go for if I am to go for a vehicle in between the budget of 3 -4.5 million under the current Sri Lankan market?
  20. Thanks a lot bro
  21. Hello there, Any idea about a place to find a Mazda 6 brush set for the starter motor?
  22. I had the same doubt and as far as I can predict, the government would have to increase the taxes to balance the course. Even that won't be successful as the affordability would decrease by a huge margin (Even taking into the fact that the dollar too would get increased). So this would happen by around 1 year of time since the tourism industry recovers (Just my opinion) and won't be that much of a tax increment. The only concern is about when this would happen and I expect it to be in around 2-3 years of time. But even in that case there is a strong possibility that the current vehicle prices would get reduced by around 1-3% of price. This is because of the fact that though the taxes are imposed the market vehicle cap would too get increased, which would allow the existing owners to migrate to a newer car.
  23. Thanks a lot once again @iRage . You had been a saviour
