Hi guys! I am planning to service my Turbo. A CT9. What parts are to be replaced, since I saw there is oil coming up to the Intercooler ? Could you recommend a PRO. to check this..Anyone have this problem? Pls advice. cheers

I had the same car and I drived very slowly but 1.3auto it did 9kmpl in city and 11 out..thats like general I guess. The Manual of course yes it should do at least 10kmpl in city.. U see been the way you drive and been manual or Auto is the key factor..And I think if I did a proper plug, tuneup every now and then yes I could also have achieved 10kmpl. But believe me the figures which people tell they could achieve on most automatics most of the time are fake! You will understand this situ only when you own one.

Muchung I find it very difficult to travel to Moratuwa from kelaniya for small repairs and even big ones. I came to Nilantha since the car was originally repaired by him. Actually I found a good mechanic close to my place! So I prefer to take advantage of close proximity.

Thats true..The guys who atleat know something contains the so called attitude..and the guys without it dont know their stuff at all. Well comparing to other contries the experts are very seldom found here in Sri Lanka not that there are'nt any but they are not broadcasted so that everybody could get hold of them. Other thing is the cost! Agents might have the equipment but they rip you. Some expert individuals have skills but do not have the equipment! A good tuner would be a mixture of cost effective with expertise and equipment.

Thanks to water all 4 plugs Busted! Ordered an Inridium set now for 29pounds. The standard NGK is 27pounds.

I thought the same..water proof rather than been .....err...anything else.!

Hi Guys, I just washed my engine since it had a lot of dirt on it. Just with plain water a simple spray was at home. After engine was car is missing but after heating up and kept it running at idle for about 10min miss was gone..Again in the afternoon I started car and again missing...and soon after came to normal temp after rides fine..What can be wrong. Anything to clean? Since I did not cover anything when washing..like turbo...etc. cheers Priya

It does make a difference on how you drive! I drive my GT on slow to moderate most of time and keep revvs below 2000 thats how I achive this 12kmpl. Well sometimes I rev the nasty bugger on Grennpath a couple of times for a week 160kmph then it does about 9-10kmpl. Hope you get what I mean. On the other hand if you rough drive the basic car which is also 1.3l which is also the weight as the GT you might only get 10kmpl....see all this figure depends on how you drive..Just ask GihanFX on this situation and how the figures ae when he revvs up his monster! and when he does a sluggish run...you'll be amazed with the consumption figures!

To tell the truth muchung I've spent about close to a lack just for upgrading shocks,brakes,turbo so on..Brake finally resolved stops like hell now. The car has been properly maintained if: -Regular oil change, fuel filter, air filter done on proper millage -Regular spark plugs change -Regular engine tuneup -Other oils changes regularly (power steering/brake/automatic transmission etc...so on

Yeah its nothing much. Its what all experienced drivers do to save fuel consumption. You have to keep the RPM down atleast below 2000 revs once it hits this shift up, the best gear to ride around if you can is 3rd and 4th gear and maintain constant speed not exceeding 60kmph. Its simple ...just a matter of getting use to it..This is what I call slow to moderate driving ..I hope you know how to do a simple and normal gear change by pressing clutch..No animatics in it as far as I know. Lets see what more experienced drivers will comment.
