    Welcome to AL. Q :Could the engine have been over-filled at the last service? the churning of the higher level of oil in the crank case may have caused the extra oil on the breather. rare and hard to diagnose your prob. if you experience an increase in engine e oil level, without the above, check the injector pump for diesel leaking into the crank case. check the oil for thinning/diesel smell. TT.

    Park in the shade. the tint film can reduce , but will not prevent or reverse sun exposure. Invest in a car cover. TT.

    The agent comes to mind first , and a specialist joint for the VW group is also there in Boralasgamuwa.

    The engine may have an un-even run , made worse with the load of the a/c compressor. what is the normal idle speed of the engine after warm up? when did you last replace the air filter? check the ignition system/fuel injection system . and the engine+trans mounts. get nu spark plugs TT.

    Also check for loose suspension components/worn joints. get another set of wheels and go for a test drive,..

    Start by replacing the sparkies and tuning the carb and check/adjusting the timing,. How's the air filter? hope you didn't wash the engine. P.S. you might have a prob passing the emissions test.

    ABS has been offers in motorcars since 1978. it will be a greave dis advantage and a loss if you don't have it and silly if you're looking for a car without it 40 years of development later,.. ? when it comes to maintenance, just change the br fluid every 2 years,.. wishing you safe and enjoyable motoring.     Get the suspension checked , pump up the tyres to the recommended pressure, and avoid bad roads,..

    Faulty air flow sensor? and it's wiring. When did you change the air filter last?

    Wonder what was removed in the van to do this service? better as the idiot/ qualified mech to look at again,.. It is possible that the top engine cover was removed, thereby mis-directing the gear selector cable when re- installing after the fluid change.

    Get 6x9's on the rear parcel shelf and 6' splits on the front. And might I recommend a sub? in the boot?

    Start by checking the cooling fan operation with the a/c on at idle and the a\c drive belt for slipping?
