  1. Your prob is coz of the un-even running of the engine . clean injectors, change plugs change air filter.

  3. Go through the threads on your car, Davy give you a good point to start with. It looks like your car is going to give you major transmission gripes. At this rate the trans will be resting in pieces by 120km., TT.

HI Sorry to hear of your gear prob. the geaar handle in your car is connected to the gear box through a set of cables. the mounts can be simply replaced if needed after an inspectioin, If the car originally had an auto box, the dash instrument cluster might still have the PRND indicatoes if it hasn't been swopped. could be something as simple as checking / top up gearoil in the gear box. or the shift link/cable mech. TT. p.s, Kindly upload a pic of the car's instrument cluster.

    If you want efficiency and seating comfortt. why not look at a Nano,? But don't ever think of having a crash in one ,..?

  7. Sticking throttle is a seroius safety prob, you can try spraying carb clean for a temp fix but the unit is best inspected by a pro . And when was the last time you replaced the air filter?
  8. Easier to get two small hinges and rivet them in,..

  10. Hi and welcome,.. Your car has a branded ATF by the manufacturer numberd 3317, look in with the dealer if they stock it,..Or an equvilant can be used, refer to your owner's hand book,.. P.S.   11. What can you expect when driving in traffic with the A/c on max? And don't even get me started on our petrol,.. How good is the engine in terms of tune? AND OFCOURSE YOUR RIGHT FOOT !

  18. Yes, these vans came with an early L series diesel engine, belt driven timing,, .and primitive drum stoppers all round. the alternator is governed by a mechanical regulator.And steering coloum mounted gear change. - all aerias which can be done better. Good luck with your search,..
  19. Check the main relay and fuel pump relay and replace.
  20. As the vehicle is over 2 decades old, why not change all the hoses and clamps?

  22. Check the condition of the rad cap before you pull out the hardware,... Get a pressure test done and look for leaks. cheers. TT.
  23. Last I remember seeing updates on LHD vehicle imports to SL, the legal structure was so strict, that it made it impossible to comply . So, why bother to re-invent the wheel?
  24. By your discription ,if your car is equiped with an automatic gearbox, it is possible you're stuck in first gear,.. make sure the selector is firmly in D. IF you have been charged for changing the clutch and pressure plates, then you've been taken for a ride by your mechanic.
