I think I saw the spot in Maradana. Need to check it out though.. Will check out the Kelaniya spot as well.. Most of them have more or less the same standard type alloys. What I'm looking is used sports alloys. Can't afford a new one which is available is most locations.. Thanks for your input.. Gives me a list of locations I can add to my check list..

nope haven't.. I'm more in the Airport-Bamba route and don't hit towards Dehiwela often.. But will check it out for sure.. Thanks..

To add to the topic, the alternate options to my budget and to my liking will be 1300CC Manual Nissan March (2door) (1998+) Honda EG8 (1992+) (possibly v-tec) Both these options are bit above my budget but would go for it depending on the feedback for Astina. I'm kinda the hatchback guy, so prefer the March since I already owned one, which didn't do much on fuel, which is why preferring a 1300CC Manual. I'm much comfortable driving a March than driving a sedan like EG8, but EG8 has been my all time favourite, so considering that option..

Hi everyone, Happy New Year to you all..!! I guess I'm the first to start a non New Year topic in the New Year. I'm in the lookout for a 1989 Mazda Astina mainly coz of the tight budget I have after selling my K11 March.. Would like to know your personal thoughts on using an Astina. The cons specially.. Nazly

Hi Guys, I have been adding bits and bits of components to my K11 over a period of time. It took me some posting here and lot of searching around town for an original spoiler and after a period of time I managed to get it from a spot I never expected to fine one.. And it was near my house I'm not the body kit type of guy, but got quite interested in trying to get a lip kit for the K11.. I'm not interested at all in fixing custom/new body kit bumpers, instead prefer fixing a lip kit that would fix into the existing bumpers. What are my options? Does lip kits with side skirts for K11 exists? Or does it need to be built to fit the K11? I did some googling but couldn't find much info. Can anyone give some ideas or info of the places that I might find useful.. Thanks..

Happens often at Liberty Car Park in Kollpitty as well..

Thanks Uditha. I have done about 20K from the last ATF change by the previous owner from the records. I better check it out anyway. Do u think checking out and A*W is necessary since they have Nissan specific material and expertise? But they are always expensive even to check it out.. Sorry for being so specific about things. This is my first car so learning the whole car maintenance thing little by little ;-)

I have a Nissan March K11 and on my last service the guy mentioned to me that the ATF level is a little bit low.. He wanted to top up but I said not to coz I was not sure with the ATF type he had.. He checked using the dipstick on different gear positions (P,R,N,D,2,1) I want to know * Is this the right method to check ATF level? * How often the ATF fuel should be changed and whats the best method/place to do so (Company or any service place would do?) * Is it possible to top up with a correct ATF type? I posted my Q here itself coz this relates to this thread. If this has already discussed on a another thread please give me the link.. Thanks Guys

Mine is Year 2000, Auto 1000CC Does 8km/ltr in city Around 10-11km/ltr outstations I knew the K11 was not good on fuel, yet bought it coz I favored it over non-Japanese models. Starlet EP91 was in my list but to my budget the K11 fit in well with all the options it has with English number etc.. I personally liked the look of the March than the Starlet (don't start fuming at me) My friends say the 1000CC Manual or the 1300CC Auto does well on Fuel. I didn't know when I was buying. I did a tuneup as well. But fuel is a concern for me, yes.. But its in good shape and serves me well. So will pray for the fuel prices to go down. Its normal that your K11 drinks fuel ;-)

I checked at motorcade yesterday. they didn't have it.. Will check in Dehiwela when I go towards there.. Thanks.. Spoiler cost me around 6500/- Got it from a spare parts joint around Wattala when I was randomly checking out..

Thanks for the explanation. Was confused a bit. Will fill it up as u said and see how it goes..

That was the initial statement when the banning of tints was announced. But what confused everyone is the statement on the 26th or 27th that said there is one week grace period to remove all tints..

Sorry guys to dig up this topic back.. I found an original spoiler for my March K11 about a month back.. But I still couldn't find the fog lamps. Any specific places I can look for? Better be specific (within the limits of the admins) rather than telling me to look around Delkanda.. I always get lost when I go there

I have a small question related to the coolant. During the early days when I bought car, the radiator was always full and the coolant level on the bottle was at the top line (engine switched off). After about a year it dropped down just above the below line in the bottle but on the radiator it was always full. Couple of weeks back at the service I changed the coolant coz I felt it will be good to change it (Don't ask me why? ) The guy at the service used the same method above (using radiator flush, new coolant added with 50:50 water etc..) Since then I didn't have any issue or any sort. During routine checks the radiator is always full with the coolant. But since then there is nothing in the bottle and its empty(engine switched off). With the engine on also it was much the same. Is this normal or do I need to check up on that?

Is there any place where we can get the final verdict? Coz I planned to remove my 25% tint on front shutters since I felt rear shutters and rear window tints are allowed. Now I'm more confused with this new one week grace period that says about all tints. I don't mind removing all tints but it will be a waste if the actual statement only meant the front shutters..

Just to refresh the topic.. I'm still in hunt for these..

Please let me know where I can get these..

I posted this thread sometime ago looking for a spoiler but I couldn't find a spoliler for my K11 in Delkanda http://forum.autolanka.com/index.php?s...ic=6142&hl= I know its hard finding the exact type of used spoiler I'm looking for + reasonable price Any one who can let me know where I can get one, please DM me.. I need the specific March K11 spoiler with break lights thats fits only on the top of the rear door, not the one that runs thru the sides as well.. Similar to the one in this image I'm also in the hunt for fog lights that will fit onto the grill of the bumper. Similar to the one in this image. Used is better with reasonable price.

Thanks Car Maniac.. Thanks for the very detailed info on this. My current tires are in good condition but its the rims that I need to changed to alloys. Initially I was planning to buy a 13" alloy and use the same tires considering the cost aspects. The current tire looks too small and doesn't give the march a gigantic look. But the cost aspect which always delayed me from buying alloys. But then came suggestions of buying a 14" alloy which then I need to put new tires as well.. I was more worried about the tires touching the fender and the body when there is a load as you said which made me to post this here. I will give it a try with the sizes you have mentioned.. Thanks jerryda and HardHat.. Very useful info.. The chart and calculator is ideal to chose whats the best to my car.

Any March users? Please advice.. Thanks in advance..

Would like to get some advice on choosing the right tire size for my Nissan March K11. Currently I have a normal 13" rim with 155/70/13 tire size which looks relatively small. I'm planning to put Alloy wheels so need some guidance since I don't have that much experience with choosing tires. I was planning to put a 14" Alloy set. I don't wanna use low profile tires. What would be the ideal tire size I can put to make sure that the tire won't hit frame of the car when 4-5 people get onto the car which happens quite often. Couple of guys suggested using 175/60/14 would do.. I would prefer to use 185/60/14.. Any experience using this size? How about using spacers? Can I lift the car an inch to solve if it hits the frame? My other option is using 13" Alloys and going for 175/80/13 or 185/80/13. Suggestions please? Where can I get good reconditioned alloys? I checked at JJLanka. They have the collection, but I won't mind looking for more options. Thanks,

I hunt down that place today.. Infact I checked all most every spot that has got spoilers. Unfortunately I couldn't find a specific spoiler for March K11. Some gave me a spoiler that looks like gonna fit but I didn't go for it. If anyone here come across a spoiler specific for a Nissan March K11, please do let me know.. I'm looking for a standard spoiler, so didn't go for GMI's alloy coated one..
