  1. This is quite interesting! So you went ahead with it after all! The disc looks to be about 2cm in thickness which is about 3-4 times what a disc would normally be. Any reason for this? And how big a difference do you feel after the conversion?
  2. You dont want Indian cars and you dont like hybrids. And your budget is 3mil... How about a chinese car then? hehe ON a serious note, please search the forum.. There's a lot of "what car should I buy" threads.
  3. That moment when you realize the lack of downforce but also remember there's leftover stainless steel tubing from your balcony railing. And is it me, or are the 2 roof-rails different from each other?
  4. Firstly, this issue isnt worth opening a thread to cry about. There's a thread for this. Secondly, novelty items (probably from some non-reputed manufacturer) such as these probably dont go through the same quality checks or standards so you should prepare yourself. Frankly I find it hilarious that you spent 7500 on junk for a Prius, a car you bought cos you can SAVE money on fuel! Think of it as a the money you could have spent taking your family on a day trip down south (food and petrol included). At least you got to brag about your welcome lights for 10 whole days. penny wise, pound foolish indeed.
  5. I'm torn on this. On one hand I can imagine what it might be like to not be able to do what you love. If you dont mind me asking, when you got your motorcycle license, did you not get your car license? I'm not familair with MND, but if it affects your right arm only and if you're able to move your arm onto the steering I dont think you will need to worry/move it much (especially on a Auto Transmission). That being said, crosswind makes a very good point on safety. It's not regular road conditions that should worry you, but an emergency where you're required to turn the steering more than a few degrees (requiring you to remove and re-position your hand on the steering within a fraction of a moment). And that fraction of a moment could mean life or death with an oncoming vehicle or a wet/narrow/mountainous road.
  6. 1k? do you mean 100,000km?
  7. Due, there's nothing to do with a private investigator... the ombudsman told the insurance COMPANY (the company as one entity) to pay you. What everyone here is telling you is that it's not your concern what happens within the company.
  8. The whole job has a nice finish to it. Nice! Btw, how old are you, if you dont mind me asking?
  9. haha yeah the plot probably couldnt be any worse. The crew help the BlackOps to get access to the GoldenEye to find Shaw who is in hiding. But throughout this tedious mission Shaw voluntarily "shows up". Why not just kill him then and there and save so much time and effort. pfft...
  10. Yep. I'm with crosswind. If the Ombudsman said you should be paid, that's final. Their internal board, agent, receptionist nonsense is not your concern.
  11. I guess the driver ought to send a few buddies over to the dumbass van driver's house to say 'hi'.
  12. geez! Can this sh!t thread be deleted before it wastes more people's time
  13. The Insight is a shitty hybrid, but it's YOUR shitty hybrid. Satyajith has no right to comment on it.. nadda mang kiyanne? Machang if you want people to pat you on the back and spoon feed you you need to buy the premium membership. You pay Rs.5000, and I will send an expert to your house to look at you car and give you personalized wheel/engine/door/roof/seat information to suit your needs. If you dont want to pay the Rs.5000, keep your attitude aside and be happy with the free advise people give you. I know hybrids are economical, but when you spent all your savings on the car did you think that it ran on love and fresh air? Newsflash, parts ware out and sometimes brake and you need money to fix it.
  14. that bus-face looks even older than the leyland face that's been around for decades. Amazing how they could actually make a bus look OLDER!
  15. yeah gone girl sure keeps you on the edge!

    Nissan Presea

That's one heck of a story. For some odd reason, I too have noticed that older sellers tend to be more gentlemanly and honorable, rather than skim on repairs/maintenance when selling.

    Nissan Presea

I gad the exact comment Davy had (keeping the colour and the headlight cleaning). Looks like the wait paid off eh? PS: if you don't mind me asking, is there a reason the owner delayed the sale from taking an advance to closing the deal?
  18. Actually I thought the SUV driver was also a woman.. Nice of the SUV driver, but you cant just overlook the incompetence of the car driver. If you cant balance a clutch on a manual transmission you shouldn't be driving one.

    Paint Job

So, you bought a Presea? congrats!
  20. Best news I heard today!
  21. thinking out loud, trying to match the curvature of the roof with a plain surface glass will be pretty tricky!!! not to mention trying to strengthenthe sheet metal from flexing in...
  22. Looks like someone's fishing for ladies at the SLIIT pond
  23. Do you need to open a thread for this? a 19 year old who was brought up with some common sense and decent education would know to check some newspapers and online classified to get the answer he wants.
  24. Oh yeah! completely forgot that thread! Maybe a Hon. Joint Mod can help do the move.
