Top Gear/fifth Gear/jeremy Clarkson Videos!
MasterDon replied to Pasan_Robotics's topic in General Automotive
Clarkson suspended,TG won't be on this Sunday. http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-31824040 He'll probably be back the week after but I have this feeling Top Gear will end soon. -
Can be something wrong with the wiring or loose connection. But most probably the compressor has packed up.EG8/EK3 are notorious for AC compressor issues. If it stops working after awhile it probably overheating or something with the comp. clutch mechanism.

Watched Blended.Typical Adam Sandler romantic comedy.Nothing special.Had a few good laughs though....and there were totally random cameos by Dale Steyn, yes the fast bowler and Shaq O'neil.
-
I never knew there was a Night at the Museum 3.Thanks Hoonigan....Good movie and a solid trilogy. I watched Birdman cos of the Oscar hype.Normally I don't like these artsy fartsy films but it was good. The long unedited camera shots were amazing.Plot can be a bit confusing.

Thanks. It's the original buffer with the dings and scrapes. The reproduction still hasn't arrived...Notice I've reverted back to the original steelies and hubcaps?

hee hee :.blush.: Not to worry, there's always next year...The Ceylon Motorshow(the one with all the classics) will be making a return later this year too...
-
Thanks Madz. The event was a resounding success. Thanks to everyone who came by and participated. Here'a little video too...The first car to should be familiar to you. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10153101298803764

Discussed before I think.Maybe mods can merge threads. As Crosswind mentioned it is a daunting task designing and building even a single prototype let alone putting it in to production. The probability of failure is very high. However I shall remain cautiously optimistic and hope these can guys turn out something great.

I didn't see any noticable scratches or swirls on it so let's do a wash and wax first and see how it turns out.Mothers or Maguirs if we can find if not 3M,Autoglym and Wurth are good too. Hi waxing about once a month is ok but polishing should be no more than 4 times a year IMO.On wax product,Make sure it is a recognized brand because cheaper wax(like STR) can react badly with our scorching sun and do more harm than good. To everybody reading. Please do not confuse waxing and polishing. Here'a good article explaining the difference I just googled up. http://www.carsdirect.com/car-maintenance/car-polish-and-wax-are-they-the-same-which-comes-first
-
By waxing I meant the whole process(polish + wax). Most people tend to do both together one after the other wether the car needs it or not.
-
Well that escalated quickly....lol You can't get any paint job on any car get that wet look no matter what product you use.A lot depends on what the manufacturers used as paint. For example I find German cars, especially Mercs, respond well to a good waxing than say, a KIA. Anyway Maguirs if you can get your hands on is good,I recently polished a car with Maguirs and then applied Wurth 'finishing wax' immediately after.Turned out well it did...I have bought a few high end waxing products recently.I shall experiment and post my findings. Don't go crazy with waxing or do it often cos what you're basically doing is taking a layer off the laquer.Do it regularly and you'll dull the paint.

The Imitation Game was a good watch.Acting and story was good. But you don't get how important the work Turing did from the movie.(Nazi Enigma code,computers..)And it can get confusing.I had to read up on it and watch a documentary to 'get' the plot. And it turns out the movie left out some important bits. The Penguins of Madagascar was OK.Had a few laughs.

Yup..but these guys are as hardcore as they come.I also took part in the GT academy qualifying and I posted some fairly good times but still only managed to rank around 8000 world wide.So the top 100 ranked players are really really good racers, some are even better than the pros.
-
I have not done any of my cars from them.So I am not aware of their prep work. The finished product looks good.As for price, they quoted 250000 for a Sunbeam Alpine,(a mid-size convertible) paint job without any body tinkering.
-
Can't read much in to the first test results. As most teams are just focused on just doing systems checks and reliability...Ferrari do seem to have a better car than last year, but I'm afraid Mercedes are still miles ahead.I still stand by the prediction I made two years ago that Mercedes will dominate for awhile.Let's hope I'm wrong.
-
Arabian is ok.Lots of concourse level classic car paintjobs are done by them.A bit pricey but since you're covered it won't be an issue.
-
Ok I'll take that...BMW 3 litre CSL aka the Batmobile...Your turn.Remember atleast one example should be in SL.
-
It's about time we started trivia again...
-
When you see it..lol...yes it's in SL....Sieg Hail!

Hi.MV5.I'm so sorry I'm not familiar with this material. The pantry tops we've had installed lately have been Titanium cement,Granite or wood.To be honest this is the first time I've heard of Neustone...Maybe it has another name.I'll try ringing Elcardo tomorrow and find out more info...If you're going tile or countertop material hunting try the hardware shops at Galwala, off Jethawana road as well as Nawala.
