Wel, Like most of you guys think, the service ppl may have screwed up the sensor. May be there is a loose connection. Can you guys recommend a good garage, who has equipment to read ECU etc?

I tried disconnecting the battery for 10-15 mins. But it didn't work

Hi guys, I took my Passo for a service last week. Since then, the "Check ABS" light is on. I told the guys in service, they were no help at all. 1. Do u guys have any idea why this problem is (apart from that there is something wrong with ABS ), and what may have caused this? 2. Do u guys know any good garage, who has the equipments to read the ECU and fix the error? Service ppl had done an engine room clean, may be they have broken some

Mine died last November, after a minor operation due to the horrible, careless Vet. It was a simple operation, and she wasn't recovering. We informed the Vet multiple times, but the Vet was saying it's all normal etc and asked us to be patient. After she died, the Vet admitted that she would have survived if he had paid more attention to her...

Best I have had is a Ridgeback. Very very loyal and loving. Muscled and magnificent dog, very protective of the family. But they are quite big. If u are looking for small ones, best around is Beagle. I don't know if they are easy to find here in SL though. Your other option would be the dachshund - they are very common. Bulldog is also an interesting option Given the option I would go for a hound any day. If I were you, I would definitely go for Beagle

My gf drives a 1000cc Passo. I must say it's a very spacious car. It's comfy as any vehicle available for that price range. In fact, I find it more comfy than the new Vitz and jap Swift beetle. In city driving, with traffic, it does around 10kmpl. She used it for few years now with no real problems. Looks wise some may not like it, but it has got its own looks I guess. Only bad side is it doesn't have the best pick-up as it's only a 1000cc engine. If only two are in the car you don't really feel it. But with 4-5 ppl, u really start feeling it. I guess that will be common for any 1000cc engine. Overall, I see it as a good spacious, comfy, economical ride.

Fuel Consumption Of Axio & Export Corolla
TharakaWi replied to mdsjw03's topic in General Automotive
Even my old starlet reflect did only 9-10 kmpl in the city. That it being a very small car and a Toyota... 14 kmpl for Axio is quite good. Some ppl do sometimes exagerate on fuel figures -
machan, the item in ur link is not listed anymore. would u be able to upload a small pic (u get in ebay) of the reverse camera u got? or is it the one given below? From where did in install it and at wht cost? I would first wanna know whether my car audio (orginal one came with the JDM) would support this, and then go ahead to purchase it. And, also - wht's the % of tax u had to pay for customs?

Read a little about this in few articles. Out of the Toyotas in SL, Camry seems to be one vehilce that is recalled. Can an affected car owner take his car to Toyota Lanka and get the same fix done free of charge?

I just quoted the points that were important for me... True, I made a request for being more polite... Yep, mods job is to control forum friendliness. None of my business. Anyways, point taken.

Seems like a good decision. Few ppl I know were postponing there purchases and some were taking the bus while others were sticking into their old cars . Hopefully 2nd hand market too would drop a lil

This is one of those threads - sticking to the topic is something we should improve i guess... (Although I do admit the fact that I also go off topic at times, and some OT stuff are fun to read )
-
sorry for going OT. hm... so in your statement, what is figuratively meant by "punching on the face"? I think rude comments like that only take threads off topic... I hope you understand that this is a public forum and there are no restrictions put-up by mods banning certain types of vehicles. Ofcourse, you may dislike/hate a brand and you may express your "personal" opinion in the forum - but ideally most of the members would appreciate if you do that more politely .

Sri Lankan vehicle market is actually quite funny. With the rumours of removal of VAT, any person with some sense would think the car market would head down. What happens is exactly opposite! No matter how much you reduce tax - second-hand market prices increase! What gov should do is introduce a yearly tax system; something similar to in japan. Gov should collect tax from cars that are older than certain number of years. older the car, higher the tax. Eg: Let's say gov decides to collect tax from cars older than 10 years. So cars that are 10 years old should pay a tax of 5% (of it's original b/n value) . Cars that are 11 years old should pay 6% etc... This way, more people will move to newer cars. Ofcourse, this tax shouldn't be a "too much" of a burden to people either...
