I too hope that tax will come down further . But this article doesn't explicitly say that "gov would reduce taxes further", does it? In which paper does it say that the gov will further reduce taxes?

Hi machan... My gf has a Passo. I can say undoubtedly it's a great car. It's very spacious, comfortable (when compared to other vehicles available at that price), reliable and a smooth drive. It does pretty good on fuel too. Only bad side is that has 1000cc engine and hence, performance is not there. Then again, I highly doubt anyone would be interested in pick-up when looking for the second car... I had a lil trouble finding spare parts some time back (this was around 6 months back) . May be they are more available now as Passo has become a common & popular car.

Are you asking about Garmin? Nah, it doesn't capture one way roads.... That's too much to ask from software that doesn't provide fully fledged support to countries like us. Besides we r actullay using a cracked version of it ...

Toyota Axio - Fuel Consumption - Import Tax - Market Price
TharakaWi replied to chamilrajapakse's topic in General Automotive
Were you looking in Car Sales? If you attempt to import one, i guess you can still find a good condition Corolla Axio X (white) for less than 1.45 mil yen. This will amount to around 3.8 mil rupees afterr all the tax etc. -
Ok, I installd garmin as IronButcher_x has explaind. I have actually ended up installing 5.00.40. For some reason labels don't appear in thee map. Any idea why?

Toyota Axio - Fuel Consumption - Import Tax - Market Price
TharakaWi replied to chamilrajapakse's topic in General Automotive
No I think u still can buy a good condition white Axio for around 3.8 if you import it individually. Just check with few car importers and see. -
Thanks pal... Great work!!!

If you think logically, highly unlikely this could happen... However our country doesn't always work logically... If I were you i wouldn't take the risk and wait

Toyota Axio - Fuel Consumption - Import Tax - Market Price

Axio x used to be 3.3-3.4 , but now it is around 3.8. Axio g was around 3.7-3.8 .now they around 4.2... These prices are for white cars wit auction grades and milage. As for fuel economy, i too wanna know that. Any axio owners, pls give some input -
Sorry., i wasn't clear i guess. I meant non white n silver cars

I think the thread starter is looking for a diesel car . 121 at 2.5 mil wil not be easy to find... I say go for 212 Carina. One of my friends has it; it's v.spacious and comfy. It does ok on fuel too.

Like Pericles said, we are already discussing pretty much the same thing in very detail in another thread. Tax going further down is a very interesting new development . To me that doesn't sound all that logical... Like it was discussed in the other thread, vehicle imports only help us loosing our foreign reserves. And it's not like that we have an over dose of reserves here. However, there obviously is a "hope" that tax will further reduce, especially coz the 2nd hand market didn't crash... For those of whome who "think" that the cost of belta 1.3cc cost only 2.7 mn. Yes - true. It was in middle of june and july. I tried really hard to find a belta for 2.7-2.8 range. But I couldn't. My bad... I was analyzing the auction prices; prices of Belta rose sharply. Now a good 1.3cc belta cost around 1.4-1.5 jpy. It used to be around 1.1 mil few weeks back. (These are CIF to colombo prices) These prices are for good grade, good condition, low milage car from an auction. You can also buy "R" grade cars (Cars with accident history) for slightly lesser price from an auction. Sometimes you can buy cars from dealers for slightly lesser price. But then there is no guarantee of the car... In any case, if you can find a good condition Belta 1.3 for less than 1.35 jpy in current auction rates, consider yourself lucky... This is to AsankaAuto: I don't know about Allion, but i know a bit abt AXIO. An Axio G , white wit over 60k milage could have been brought to the country even untill few weeks before. But ask the same source if they can do the same now? Coloured Axio G with good milage was always above 40. But I know that car sales guys are selling thm for 4.8mil. But if ppl don't buy, they will eventually have to lower the prices. But right now - ppl do buy

I can't really explain why, but I hate Actyon. May be coz of it's ugly looks... May be coz it's a cross-over... May be coz there are far better options for that price. Kyron and Rexton look much better. But i hear even they lack in the fuel-economy department.

Yeah right... now i am a car importer!!! I only gave my opinion from according to my knowledge... U sure have a different opinion, and I respect it... please learn to respect others opinions without trying to label them

Sometime back, cars may have been available at such prices. But now certainly the japanese auction prices are high now. Toyota Axio, which was trading for around 1.25 mil jpy has now risen to 1.50 levels (in japan auctions). Belta which was goin around 1.1 mil has now risen to 1.4 levels. I too thought that the auction price and everything will come down as the time goes. But it all worked the other way . Like some forum members have said, in Sri Lanka what goes high remains high. Never comes down. Actually the car sales guys have to pay extra as tax, as they have to pay for VAT. So obviously their cost is 3-4 lakhs more than an individual importer. Even if an individual imports a car and lease - he still will have to pay extra on VAT. Anyways, re-con car prices have risen sharply in last few weeks. I won't advice anyone play the waiting game.

Just check you have "phone switch" feature in C5...? just search in the mobile help for this keyword

Hm, why don't you try Toyota 212 Carina MyRoad diesel version? It's a little hard to find though
-
Hi Jami, C&F price includes only Cost & Freight. You may have to add the Insurance price to find the CIF value. The prices are relatively low, but be careful - there are many scams these days. Looks a little fishy to see a japanese company quoting prices in USD. They usually give in Yen. Actually converting Yen to Rupees directly is cheaper than a three way conversion Yen->USD->Rupees I guess these cars don't have an auction grade. That a little too risky again. You can actually buy R grad (Cars with accident histories) for relatively low prices compared to good auction grade cars
-
Yeah, now auction prices seem to be slightly high. However, I highly doubt Axio G Beige was available at 3.6 . G grades were on or above 4M most of the time. (I am talking about less than 40k milage cars)

Hi, I think you can get the Belta from 2.8 to 3.1 odd. if u go for 2003/2004 Vios, they are actually lil less than 2.5, could be hitting 2.3 range. 121 goes for 2.5-3.0 . Tell you the truth, I too have the same choice, and planning to buy one soon. Vios is my last choice. It doesn't have good leg-space... My first choice is so far Belta - given it's stylish and new
-
Ok, I called this person who has put the add. He did not sound mentally balanced... He was asking me "kow da kiwwey 27.5 kiyala?" . Anyways, you should be able to buy a belta for around 26.5-29.5 if you import individually,
-
It's 2001 car... don't know if it is 1.3..., if it is, I guess it should come down few more lakhs...
