(from Supercars Limited Press Release) It is Denny Hulme's success which has motivated Supercars Limited to make a New Zealand supercar in his honor. For the last two years the Hulme.F1 has been developed in secrecy, but now the company is ready to tell the world what it has been creating. Since the onset of the project, the concept of the Hulme.F1 supercar has been a mid engine design with a high-tech powertrain and chassis that gives the driver the feeling of driving a Formula One Car on the road. The car features a modified BMW M5 engine joined to a specially designed transaxle, wrapped in a carbon fiber body. Coordinating the design team is Tony Parker, Associate Professor and head of the Industrial Design department at Massey University. ''New Zealand has established a reputation for building the best yachts in the world. I believe we also have the technical capabilities and the industrial infrastructure to create a quality, hand built performance car,'' says Parker.

Nice car, kinda still growing into the chunky big rig look. I like the flip down speakers. Whereabout do you live in the US?

Looks like two completely different cars. The one on this thread seems to be a first Generation Firebird while the one from the older thread (the one parked inside the gates) is defeinitely a 2nd generation Firebird TransAm. Just my 2 cents.

seen it before, supposedly some guys really get turned on by seeing girls get stuck (and the skimpy clothes are a +) ... not like "wow, hot girl stuck" ... more like "oooohhh yeah, get stuck there, yes, yes, like that, now push" ... 'yknow what I mean, there's crazy people out there quoted from another website...

Thanks Wow, we even have a couple F-Body smilies! -
what next? Carbon Fibre Condoms? Atleast the marketing would be genuine "You'll be rock hard wearing our Carbon fibre condoms!" "Available with nuts and bolts embedded for more pleasure!"
-
thanks, not much like your guys' collections ... I wanna get a Nitro powered one but everytime I get the money, I go ... "hmmm .... toy car or mods on the 'real' car" ... real car usually wins

Yeah, Supras are rediculously expensive over here. How much would it cost to ship yours over here? Do you have to convert it to LHD? When one of my friends bought their cars (Camry and a SUV) over from Bahrain, they were quoted $12k ea. just for the conversion to be 'legal' in the US as far as crash and emissions. They were like "F'THAT!", sent the cars back and bought new ones here for less. Although I have seen a couple RHD cars (Skylines) at the local drag strip with tags. When I used to work at my first job (as a lube tech), there used to be this fat ugly woman who used to drive a Silver Turbo Supra (which she didn't take good care of) which I used to work on every now and then. I wanted to kill that bitch and get her car ... lol. Some people would give an arm and a leg to get one of them, and she's using it as a daily driver and leaving coffe cups lying in there to spill ... grrrrrr

Hi Mani, nice to see you're on here too. You don't know me but I know of you (doesn't everybody?) ... glad to have you here.Anyways ... here's mine. Tamiya TB-01. Used to be a NSX body but I switched it over to a Camaro (for obvious reasons) and the black wheels. PS: Mani, may wanna clear out your guest book ... some 'interesting' entries in there

Yeah, I remember you. You're from up North (slippery rock?) right? GihanFX ... unfortunately, nobody sponsors me except for myself so tires are gonna get expensive at $130ea. (and that's cost price through my work!) Ministry .. No offence taken. If you don't believe me, oh well! Thanks to all you other guys for defending me/my car and for all the support. As for the commentry, everyone here in the states know me by my first name 'Tuan' but everyone from back home and family know me by my middle, 'Azmin'. The guy was going "Tuan waits patiently blab blah ... " 'cos the bug was taking soooooo damn long to line up. Check out my site (in my sig) if you doubt anything ... peace out bros!!! -
After 7-8 months of hard work, I took her to the track. I went expecting 1/4 mile times in the low 12 second region but my car had other plans for me (considering my previous best was 12.69@110mph). It was a new setup and not completely dialed in but 'oh well'. I am also on my stock 'weak' rear axle and so I had to also take off pretty easy too, so double 'oh well'. First run. Left shifter in Drive. 1-2 shift was perfect, 2-3 shift was almost right after that causing the RPM's to just drop and then slowly creap up. I wanted to just shift back to 2nd and then hold onto it a little longer but I thought "F' that, it's the first run, let it take its time" and waited. I was greated by a 11.92@114mph (with a 1.66sec 60foot time) run ... WHAT? DAMN! That def. means it's gonna do much better next time! Second run. Shifted manually. 1-2 shift was okay, 2-3 shift hit the rev limiter a wee bit. This actually was a bit hard 'cos I was shifting in the dark. My tach reads half the actual RPM's (new setup has a different signal) and it's 'lazy' so I'm just guessing everything and listening to the engine. I return to the staging lanes and my boss is all happy and jumpy! I was like WFT? And he goes, "one more tenth of a second faster and you'll be neading a rollbar buddy!". I was psyched !!! 11.65@116mph (with a 1.60sec 60foot time) WOO HOOO!!!! Anyways, happy as I am now, let me share ... lol Click here to see Video ps: there's a fully modded out VW Bug racing on the other lane, that thing was awesome! He slowed down after like the first half of the track, if not he would've been on a easy 8-9 sec pass!

The Eastern F-body Association vs. the Mid Atlantic Cobra Association held its first shootout this last weekend and I'm so damn happy to say that we had the fastest car at the track! The car is owned by our lead tuner, Bret Shook, and did a best 1/4 mile time of 9.55@146mph that morning but wnet for the win with an also impressive 9.62@142mph in the Outlaw Finals (Any mod is legal in this department ). Here's the vid of the final against a Mustang ... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2665363878424544572 Here's a whole bunch of vids from the rest of the day ... Well ... More Developments And Dyno Numbers On My Car
Mean Green z28 replied to Mean Green z28's topic in General Automotive
Well, the diesel engines need to handle more boost (=cylinder pressure) so they're usually built pretty strong. Mine's a gasoline engine, so it's probably not as strong as a diesel, but I'm sure it'll handle about 5psi and the occasional 10 ... Even American engines can handle that, so I'm guessing the engines from the boosted parts of the world could handle a bit. -
Well ... More Developments And Dyno Numbers On My Car
Mean Green z28 replied to Mean Green z28's topic in General Automotive
How much money? OMG ... hmmm ... ahh ... crap ... well, in 2001 I bought this car for $10500, didn't do much to it until I (with a bit of help from my mum) got the damn thing paid off in '04. Well, with the car market now, you can get a car of this age like this for about $3-5000. As for the latest setup, I haven't still put all the bills together yet, but my guestimation is very close to about $8000 (for parts only) ... yeah, it's kinda high but it could've been higher but I did all the work and got most stuff for cost price. I'd say I have a $1500 or so in misc. stuff scattered here and there in stereo/suspension/etc. EXPENSIVE HOBBY ... for a college student atleast. If you're going in for a Camaro ... I'd recommend you go for a '99 model or newer, they start from about ~$8000 and go up depending on condition/mileage/mods/model/etc. As for imports (as in everything not American) and their turbocharged engines, I like them. Ofcourse spending the same amount of money on mods, the american cars will still kick their asses (and still staying naturally aspirated), but some of them are pretty sick! although it's not an import the Dodge Neon SRT-4 is pretty decent too. One of my customers has it and I liked driving it, once you get over the innitial torque steer, they're pretty quick. And as for the whole, 'American cars only go fast straight' bit, they haven't driven one with the right setup. As for my truck. It gets about 20-25mpg depending on if it's in stop-go traffic or highway. I love it, and it a beast offroad too (posted pics in the 4x4 section). The performance I get isn't much, afterall it's only got a 4-cyl in it. On the highway, it'll do 70-80mph easy, although an overtaking move takes a bit of planning and two downshifts Economy on my car? lol ... it's not miles/gallon, it's more like gallons/mile. I used to get 17-25mpg stock but I don't expect anything more than about 10-12mpg with the new setup. I'll use the car in the weekends and for racing, the truck will get me from A to B and back .. that is until I drop a turbo in it (already got the turbo sitting at work) -
You'll know I got it running 2 weeks ago, I've since made some changes and did some tuning on the dyno yesterday. Biggest change: had to lift it back up by putting back in the stock springs all around ... it was so low with the new exhaust system, it literally had just 1.5" of ground clearance and hit every single thing on the road (inc. the road itself) ... now it feels like it's ready to go off-roading Anyways, strapped it on the dyno and made a couple of pulls. The tranny started leaking halfway through so we had to stop. It made 373HP to the wheels with the tune just halfway done. Considering the fact that it has a stock (really restrictive) intake manifold, a camshaft so mild you'd think it's stock (I think I made a mistake when I put it in), and a torque convertor so loose (as in high stall) a $2 prostitute seem tight, I think I'm gonna have a beast! I think/calculate, if it was a manual tranny car (not so much loss in the tranny), it would have put down somewhere in the low 400HP range the way it sits. Add the new cam and manifold and we're talking approx 475HP .... WOO HOOOO!!! Look out drag strip, it's another 10 second monster!!!! No money for the last few upgrades
-
yeah, but what about the word ' thingamajingy'? lol ... as for sfelling mistakes, it's not that it's bad to make a mistake (afterall, we're all humans no?) every now and then, it's to create the illusion that you're above it and make it a lifestyle that gets people wondering. Also to answer neXGen's question as to why other guilty parties haven't replied ... I think they're still writing it out on paper to take to their tution class 'sir' to make sure they haven't made any mistakes ... and when he cuts and chops and tells them to rewrite ... well, you know why it's taking so long.

yeah, but how hard is it to press the 'S' key and not the 'Z' key? I'm surprised you actually used 'S' in capabilities and not 'Z'!!! I was thinking for a bit that your Z key was stollen buy the SMS police. Sorry, not many people have installed 'Zz text 6.0' to understand it quick. we have to download it and translate in to 'whateveryoneelsespeaks 2.0' and then we go "AHA!"I'm just playing dude, whatever makes it easier for you is fine ... just think of us for a change

I'm trying to figure out why most on here type as normal humanoids do, proper grammar/wording/punctuations/etc. and then there are some who think the forum is a cell phone and type in txt language and whatevet shorten form or number possible to replace a few letters. Not only is it annoying at times 'cos it' takes 3.5 times as long to read, but when the person isn't very adept with the rules of grammar/etc. it just becomes hell to try and understand. I feel like Mr. Frodo trying to get the ring into the fire!

wow! that hurt my head trying to figure out what you said. Finaly got it, good info though
