Utter rubbish..........If enforcement is being done it should be enforced on all....not those that suit the cops only, considering they themselves are the worst culprits. BTW, I drove to Habarana on work on the 17th and on my way back just stopped and asked a set of traffic cops standing on the road (lying in wait ) and verified with them that the speed laws weren't in effect ...cause I'd heard otherwise. He confirmed that the speed laws could not be enfoeced as yet cause of the case not being sorted yet etc... However I must say that there are signs for 70 posted along the kurunegala Dambulla road and also the 50 sign near the towns....the 50 ending signs are also posted so motorists are aware of the areas in which these limits are enforced. Most of the vehicles on the roads seemed to be complying with these as well.....other than of course those bastards in the TATA's. some of which practically ran me off the road.....

Machang from what I experienced it was Rs. 200/- for a two way ticket. BUT I was told by the crew of the bus and the gentleman at the counter that when you buy one it also means that you can go to and from Moratuwa as many times as you like till the time of the last bus. They also have weekly tickets and monthly which are a cheaper option to buy if you hope to be a long term user. Can't remember the rates tho. I have a friend who uses the service daily and and he has no complaints whatsoever. Swears by the fact that he saves quite a bit on travel this way. I tried out the service on Tuesday and must say I was impressed......placed a call to book a ride and was told to stay outside the office at a given time and it was there on the dot. In fact I know a couple of people who take it daily and they have nothing but praise for it. You let them know early enough an they pick you up from even town hall. I only hope they continue to offer a reliable service............
