i40 is the Euro and Indian market name for Hyundai Sonata. Its sold in SL as Sonata. Newer Sonatas are pretty nice looking cars. Not sure if the 1.7ltr diesel engine is powerful enough for the size of the car though.

What Is The Highest Mileage Vehicle You Have Seen

Early 90s ford laser with 381000 on the clock. T-belt changed thrice. no overhauls. no oil burning, engine still runs like new. Pity the owner is planning to roll back the odo whenever he decides to sell it. Talk about Sri Lankan mentality. -

are you from a family of politicians by any chance? u r so good at twisting and turning your own words according to the circumstance... now what are those international-standard car forums that you are a part of?

It's a known fact that some of the fuel pumps are rigged, but I really wouldn't call this particular example as cheating, because 1. like irage said, these pumps (especially the chinese made ones) are not high precision ones. There is a margin for error 2. petrol expands with heat. Actual volume of petrol pumped to your vehicle during daytime will have about 0.5% difference compared to night time (in sri lanka). 3. Some amount of petrol gets vapourized when getting transferred from the nozzle to your tank So the fact is, there's no way u can get an absolute measurement of petrol volume, I would use the principle of materiality on this one and forget about it.

If your car engine is desined for 95, then use 95. If not, use 90. 95 doesnt give better performance or better emissions or better anything.

All IOC fuel sheds are required to keep a measuring can. If in doubt about the pump's calibration, you can ask them to show you a measurement. If they decline, you can contact a regional manager or a GM of IOC (if necessary I can intro u). As for Ceypetco... all I can say is 'ah well'... Also please note that the difference between 6.183 and 6.172 is just 11ml, equivalent to two teaspoons. Should you bother?

Ah yes! typical cali... disowning his own statements... Tell me.. did your parents disown you when you were a kid?

If you don't know something and if you don't know how to google it, then STFU! The above Land Rover (known as Center Steering) was just a one-off prototype, probably built on a Willys chassis. It was never manufactured for sale.

It's a corolla. how would selling one of those be difficult in this country? just make sure it's not a 4WD.

Fiats and peroduas give the best fuel economy, if hybrids and indians are not considered.

Shouldn't the older licenses be converted first? that sounds like common sense to me.... ah well this is sri lanka after all

All mobile operators have a system called Equipment Identity Register (EIR) in their network which stores (and updates) the IMEI number of all IMEIs connected to SIM cards. In addition, there are 5 nominated senior members of the police department who have the authority to find out from operators, any information regarding any phone connection (in the past, it was allowed only through a court order). Interestingly, changing IMEI is not very difficult for most of the phones. So, suppose if you are using a genuine, registered phone, there are still chances that somebody out there having a stolen phone with your IMEI number. This system is not foolproof.

Carmart Servicing - Poor Quality Of Service
Crosswind replied to nuwanba's topic in General Automotive
It's something bloody obvious. When you get in to the car, YOU CAN SEE if the AC vent is broken. All you need to do is, take a good look at the car before leaving AND if you find anything amiss, stop being a p*ssy and raise hell then and there. What exactly are you trying to achieve by posting your rant on the internet? To tarnish c*rmart reputation? Do they have a reputation in the first place?- 21 replies

Unfortunately, the 510 was more alluring than the chick, so I completely ignored her seductive voice, lost the phone number and focused on getting hold of the car instead

Oh sweet... u bought it? I spied the ad in ###### and for a couple of days I was trying to contact the owner! Some guy answered the phone and said it's his brother's car and gave me the number. I called that number a few times and it was answered by a chick who had no clue of the car... then finally gave up! Looks like many of us have been after this little ripper.
