  2. Let me give some more options with kind of ranked basis. 1. Toyota AE110 1999(Bcoz it's Toyota. Good on fuel, Resale value) 2. Nissan Presea Refina 2000 (Very Nice, Fun to Drive, Comfortable, Reliable, Excellent Interior, You will have to spend arround 14. So u'll save ur money )
  3. Hi Friends, Please help to understand following. 1. For a manual transmission, U can have any RPM value for a given gear. Is it so? Eg. RPM from 1 to 9 for 1st gear RPM from 1 to 9 for 2nd gear RPM from 1 to 9 for 3rd gear 2. In automatic when "D" is selected, if we are going to have say RPM of 3, just after start moving, transmission will automatically shifted to next higher gear which is 2nd. So is it true if I say, "With automatic, you cannot have any RPM for given gear" ? 3. For manual, in following scenario, RPM of 3 in 2nd gear RPM of 3 in 3nd gear In the above two situation, a. Are the loads on the engine same? b. Do both of the above consume same amount of fuel? 4. For automatic transmission, it's made like this "Whenever the RPM is 2, it automatically engages to next higher gear" Is this statement true? Else what would be the method?
  4. So it means oiling to protect from rust might cause more rust? So is it enough washing with water? Other few question that I would like to get answers: 1. Is it good to wash the engine room? 2. Any of you have take a step like greasing vehicle's door for better protection from corrosion/rust? Many Thanks
  5. Lancer Box, Mazda Familia Wagon, Nissan B12, Honda Grand Civic(If u Lucky, in ur budget)
  6. Hi Friends, 1. How frequently do you get ur car undercarriage washed by a service station or not at all? 2. Is it bad oiling car under carriage(one service station told so??), do you do so?
  7. I don't think that you will get any indication when sensors are unplugged. But I have a personal experience with O2 sensor. (Used by catalytic converter) It was when the catalytic converter O2 sensor was burnt, Dashboard will indicate the catelytic converter warning light. If you unplug the sensor wire, warning light goes. If you fix a good O2 sensor, light goes off even it's plugged. Don't think too much why car doesn't warn you. But fix those unplugged wires as son as possible. Those are there for a valuable reason. O2 Sensor failure warning in Catalytic
  8. Never hear of such an indicator. But this should not b either of u suspect. Vios manual or owners will guide you. I suspect whether this has something to do with Lamps or Brake. Conventional Tyre pressure warning Conventional Check Engine
  9. Does this happen when car is in unbalanced position? I mean you double check it again when car is parked on a downhill. Don't know whether the issue has something to do with the fuel system. Because when a vehicle is in a not leveled position, fuel in fuel tank tends to gather to a one potion.
  10. Thanks jdnet. Thanks Sumiya
  11. Nissan Presea CTII R11 of YYOM 1996 Does this car has timing belt or chain? Thanks.
  12. Hi Friends, 1. How to know that particular vehicle/ Engine has got "Timing Belt" OR "Timing Chain" ? 2. Have heard that if it's timing belt, it should be changed periodically & if chain, no need of changing. Is it true?
  13. Shall V plz restrict the context of the question only to the relationship between health of exhaust system & fuel economy. Thanks.
  14. Thnx Ripper. So the conclusion is, if particlar vehicle has both Muffler & Resonator Barrel, it's not enough to keep either Muffler Barell or Resonator Barrel in good condition, we have to keep both in good shape right? [in order to keep car's good performance & good economy if any due to proper back pressure?]
  15. Sorry Sumi, It should not be catalytic converter. It should be "Resonator". U agree? Check the answer of Charitha. (charitha19). I think he's correct. Thanks all for ur answers.
  16. Hi Sumi, Barrel at the middle. I also misunderstood that this is catalytic converter. But it's not. Another Barrel like muffler called "Resonator". But Catalytic converter is the one very near to exhaust manifold right? (O2 sensor lugs into there)
  17. Push start for MANUAL Jump start for AUTOMATIC Push Button start for BAJAJ & TOYOTA
  18. Is it because all these names starting from letter "A" ??
  19. Hi Friends, You guys have the "Resonator"(similar to silencer barrel)in your vehicle's "exhaust system". I have heard the function of it is to reduce noise. 1. If it's week due to corrosion, should it be replaced with new one or is it OK to remove it completely? 2. Does this have relation to vehicle power/ performance? 3. Does this cause to increase or decrease fuel economy?
  20. Many Thanks for the reply. No leaks. Not changed recently too. (say 1.5-2 years ) One garage person directly said that if it's dark, all washers has to be replaced & all. Is it true? If it a flush & refill needed, where can it be get done? Is it aid of any machine?(like for auto transmission oil change) or manual process? Many Thanks!
  21. Hi Friends, 1. What's the reason for brake fluid gets dark color? 2. Does it indicate problem in "Master Cylinder"? 3. What should have to be done? Oil flush? Master cylinder related repair?
  22. [sorry. Removed Duplicated Reply]
