to my knowledge, it goes like this standard : trim is different, no illumination dash, upholstery different G pkg : wood trim (different to G Ltd), upholserty different, no illumiation dash (some have), no wood trim on steering, G ltd : plush interior, fully loaded, illumination dash, reverse cam, wood trim on steering correct me if I'm wrong

reducing the mileage doesnt affect the speedo eter reading. if you want it done, I got a guy for it! but I've never done it and neither will I ever do it coz its cheating the buyer! the money you earn from cheating is unlawful! but it can be done!

Sorted the problem! It was due to a loose earth connection. once the earth cable was fixed properly, it started working.

Actually not really looking for an expert machan. This guy seems ok for now. My friend has got a 2 Stage V-Tec engine for his car but couldnt find the wire harness. the malabe guy managed to bud another wire harness and got a HRV V-Tec distributor for it. Need to find an original Civic V-Tec Distributor. thats all left to do for now. I actually wanted to know what to look out for coz a lotta AL members seem to be having bad experiences with the malabe guy.

A friend of mine repairs his EK3 at Malabe and says the guy is good. Gives him on credit terms also. Only thing is he drags my friend's work a bit. maybe coz he aint paying up front. Seems like some of you guys have bad experiences with him. Could you please let me know what to look out for?

No one removed the sensor coz it was working in the morning that day :-) Ahh the fuse.. I kinda forgot about that! I pray its the fuse coz I dun wanna have to replace the sensor. but then again, is the sensor wired through a fuse? I havnt really heard of that. Btw, I noticed it's not totally dead and the indicator shoots up and drops occasionally when I'm driving and the odo meter shows an increase of 1 km or so after I've driven about 20!!

Hi guys! I got a Town-ace CR42. I Just realized my speedometer and ODO meter are not working. What could be the reason for this? Does my van have a speedometer sensor or cable? thanxx

Wow! This is all new to me! I never really thought these guys would stoop to such low levels. Our vehicle does a lotta out station traveling so we tend to pump all over the place but now I'm thinking of topping up at one of the Laughs places and seeing if I notice a difference. Thanks guys for all your valuable and informative input!

My opinion is speed guns should stay in, but there should be amendments done to the speed limits also. I once got copped doing 80 on the puttalam road - straight stretch and perfect road. Could have done 100 with no issue. On roads like this, the top limit should be increased while there are some roads I've been on where you can't do even 50, whilst the limit is 70. Limits should be enforced according to the roads - both in and out of colombo. When doing long trips, I honestly exceed the limits at some places when the roads are good and clear. :-)

There are a few unreg CR42s in the market still but plenty of registered ones also, which are pretty good. PM me for more info..

Just got my vehicle from a paint job today and my cousin felt a weird hum when driving. he checked the nuts to see none of the nuts were tightened. all could be turned with no effort! Crazy A**holes hadn't tightened the wheels! I HATE GARAGES!!
