What a load of crap. Sorry to hear it happened to you Ripper. And he gave you a ticket for running a red light? I think you shouldn't have accepted the ticket. Any sensible judge should let you go free without a fine or warning sisnce it's not your fault. All the best with the court case.

Thanks, so he owns them both. Good on him.

What sort of work do you need to be done? I mean is it for your car?

My relative travelled south on the highway last weekend and the main thing they were telling was dogs dogs and dogs. They told they almost hit dogs twice. Quite a scary thing.

Great pics, thanks Peri.

Nice bikes Pravin. I ride a 07 R6 here and now i got around 15ks on it but still goes hard but again have never dynoed it to comment about the power but I would agree with others telling not to generalise Yammis just because of your ride. Some questions. Are you using different maps for track/ road riding? What kind of a PC are you using? (i mean PC 3?) What kind of a pipe have you got on it? I think some thing might have gone wrong after the rebuild. What was the compression before and after the rebuild? Never seen a track in my life and the max i have did is around 200km/h which is not that much. Had a Cibbie before and gave her and got this and I'm happy with my decission. Me thinks Yammies handle better and have a better riding position too. Had back pains with the Cibbie but did around 850ks in one go in this and had no dramas at all. Any ways safe riding every one.

Very common here in Aus. Both times when I sold my car and bike I got emails like this from a guy who said he was working in an off shore oil rig. I got the email even after I clearly mentioned it was a cash only sale and no paypal scams please so I told the guy to and f*** him self.

VVTi, I think he is talking about fatjoe's lancer because I remember fatjoe mentioned else where about some bad experiences he had trying to restore his lancer.

Thanks for the BEV Miniace. Looks great.

Thanks for the link Ripper. Very nice to see so many HC bikes and most of them in really good nick.

Thought to add something as we had a Bajaj 2 stroke for family use back in 1998 (a 204 - rego). When we thought to get a vehicle for family use back in the days for our budget at that time we thought to go for a VW beetle and I always loved them as a kid but the age of the car and the fuel cost made my dad change his mind and go for the Bajaj. Since it was a private use vehicle he got the numbers written in white on a black back ground (I think that is an indication in the old number system to differentiate vehicles used for private and public purposes). At the beginning I hated it for obvious social reasons and refused to travel in it too but as time passed got used to it. I felt quite ashamed as my dad looked like a three wheeler driver and I hated to be spotted travelling in it by any girls. When I turned 18 and got my D class for the bike I also did the E class and got my 3W one too. Sisnce we did not live in Colombo it was not that bad but the only thing I hated was mixing oil when pumping petrol. We never had any major issues and it was very reliable as well. Only major issue is safty. These things are horrible in that department and very easy to topple at high speeds. (I managed to do it once trying to do a U going very fast. I know, a very stupid thing!) another issue is you cannot lock it and it looks quite odd to go in a 3W for a function. I would say avoid it as much as you can but I do understand you wan't to minimise your fuel costs. In 2009 I met a family who used a Piaggio as a family ride. The man was a teacher and family friends of one of my friends. It had a steering wheel (not like a bajaj) and a CD player and he was quite happy with his purchase. And also consider the future ban of 3Ws in city as mentioned by other members. On a another note about making money as mentioned by some one, it happened to me once. I was on my way to pick up some thing in our 3W and was flaged by this guy with his family. It was a bit late and a lonely area and I explained that I'm not running hires and he couldn't understand what I was tring to explain so thought to help them out and since I was anyways going in the same direction so thought to give them a lift. When they got down the guy asked how much and I told he dosen't need to pay me but he insisted and gave me 150/- and said thats what they normally pay. The only hire I ever had!

Yeah you are correct Peri, I went there too and the person who servedd me didn't even know about the tax refund form and told me to go to the air port and talk about it. Any ways I couldn't get my tax back which was around $30, and couldn't be bothered about it. The thing I find with Mustafas is they have quality stuff. I bought gold from them and it was really good stuff. The girl who served me seeemed to be ok but people in Singa and Malaysia are not that friendly from what I have seen and they all lack customer service skills. I went to the money changer in the airport in KL to change around 20 AUD so I can grab a bite and gosh, that prick was rude. Last Dec I travelled via KL and hated the service in KL, Malaysian airlines and the lot.

I would say go for CIMA because if you ever wanna migrate to a country like Aus, you can get a CPA if you are a FCIMA and CPA is recognised in many countries and you get paid well for it too. I finished my Bcom and I'm following CPA. But doing both CIMA and ACCA at the same time will be quite tough unless you are willing to make some sacrifices.

Great man, feeling so jealous, (j/k) some thing exactly I would go for as well . I always wanted to get two cars in unmolested condition. One is a VW bug and the other is a Mini. Would you mind if I ask how much did she cost you, so it will give me a rough idea. Me too love the sound of these machines. All the best with your project and keep us posted .

What Is The Coolest Mobile Phone????
Skyline R33 replied to Shrapnel's topic in PC and other Console Games
Is it 18K plus the plan? In Aus they were selling them for $300 unlocked. They come down from something like $650. I would say wait for some time. -
Oh well, things have changed back home these days so quickly. six years ago back in the days when I did my A/Ls we all used good old bicycles and the maximum was a bike. But I understand that you might be travelling far (Matale - Kandy - Matale) so if I was you I would think more practical than a riced car. To be honest with you they are not that cool as you think they are and most of them would have been abused for sure. I will go for something small like a starlet or a charade.

What a creation (*runs to the wash room and throws up*)

OMG you guys go to classes by cars these days?
-
Yap I know that you shot them. What I meant is finding them through your own data and uploading them (I'm very bad in managing the pics I take, so for me to find some thing from my drives is a very hard thing)

I was surprised and annoyed by the travelling thing. It is a shame to see some of the leading professionals in the industry do these kinda things. With the Hotels, we were trying to book Blue waters and the guys there have told we cannot give an exact price for December untill November and they might be sold out by that time. They want us to close our eyes and just pay an advance and they will tell the final price later. The issue is I do not wanna do a booking like that, incase these guys charge a retarded amount and blame it on the season. Land like no other!!! Thanks man, will pass it on to my missus. Thanks dude. Will have a look but I think my finace is having some one in her mind but will pass it on. Thanks for taking the time to find it Peri, appreciate it and nice shots too.

The best way is to you tube it. There are plenty of videos on the subject.

Sorry boys to unearth this thread up again. So finally we have made a short list of shooters we are interested in and I think my missus is comfortable and satisfied with the work of one of them. The big guys Ripper recommended seem to be busy in that period and we had to let go Dimitri Cruz because we were told we had to go to Kandy to book him and at present my folks are unable to do this. When we were discussing the rates with the studios the seem to travell extra for travelling. Is this normal? Even the florist, band etc are charging for travelling. I was a bit annoyed by this since as far as I know in Aus if you get a quote it includes travelling and other expenses as well. Any reason why our guys do not include travelling in their prices? Also I personally think how could some one charge to travell to the heart of the city? I mean I'm getting married in Gall Face Hotel and that is in the heart of Colombo. It will be reasonable if they charged extra if I had the ceremony some where out of town like Waduwa say for an example. Had an argument with my missus about this and she said this was the current SL trend and I know nothing. So to spend my weekend in peace I have kept my mouth shut but this so called current trend has been bugging me. Also in SL if they give you a quote, they never seem to stick to it. When I got engaged in Dec last year it was just family and friends and we catered for the dinner. That catering guy quoted a price and charged another price and I was furious. The dumb reason he gave was things have gone up in price, but I believe if he gave a quote three months ago it's not our problem if prices went up or down and he should stick to the quote he gave. I'm not being stingy here but if all these guys keep changing their prices and minds how could some one budget for a function? Is this normal or just happened to us? Any ways thanks alot to every one for spending time to air their views and experience
