  1. So was my guess, cuz of the CBR1000 right? Was considering that from sometime back over a legit CBR250, but the risk is the only problem, not sure if cops can recognize a 929 easily. Here a person having a Balius 250 kept getting stopped a lot, as it had a very wide body and he had to carry documents with him all the time. If I do get one, it won't be reserved for a track but run around on roads a lot...
  2. My heartiest congratulations!! Looks like our guesses were correct Must have cost a fortune. This means we'd get to see some pics soon? The fastest stock car in the country I assume?? And also you get to drive it as much as you want unlike the last GT-R...
  3. Hmm ok, but I remember seeing something like filing off chassis number and auctioning them off mentioned somewhere in the forum, that's why Well a friend told me about one, around Col so no couldn't see it yet so wanted to get an idea beforehand. There was one for sale in the newspapers sometime back too at that price, it sounded quite a bargain considering similar era Hornet 250s going for 350k+, so was wondering if it might have had some problems. Thanks btw!
  4. Ah So only the Police sell them off? Btw, is around 450k the right price for CBR929s?
  5. I think you need to spin the wheels controllably while going sideways That Mustang of Vaughn Gittin sure puts out a lot of power, but afaik other lightweight Jap cars aren't like that As for the use of the handbrake, seen videos of the rear wheels locking momentarily even in D1, S15 IIRC
  6. They do after sometime right? Around how much do these Euro HC bikes go for then?
  7. Ah, blurry or not, they were still pretty good under those circumstances and the little light available And the tall one was
  8. Don't want to leave stone cold replies but guess smiley's too make it awkward :S

  9. Ok, there were a great lot of pics and went through everything, long time back anyway. Other what I meant were 3 girls as models or something, denim skirts, blurry pics, lots of Honda's IIRC
  10. True I've not been around the forum long, but I think I might have seen those pics sometime back before joining Was this near/on a bridge or the one around the cars in the middle? Time flies and you've grown up, become more stable, I guess
  11. Didn't google it, that's why I didn't give it the other day, just found the tax docs which had been downloaded earlier as I was organizing some files, so just posted it for his use and accurately, not just off my head which was off by 6.5%... Ok You never get over it man I thought we were through
  12. Yes the total value was calculated to be around 8.9M that way, under the tax structure for hybrids. Afaik, luxury tax was something paid in addition to the normal vehicle tax. but if that doesn't apply, that's good news. Any other members can shed more light on this?
  13. Just to update on the Kandy-Colombo Expressway, they've started all the measurements and getting the layout properly on this side. Surveyors came a few days back and notified the people where the initial bridge will go and what lands would be covered as I'm currently situated near the projected entrance to the expressway from the Kandy side near Katugasthota
  14. Not just them but from what we've seen mostly Nice!! Even to the untrained eye they look great, and nice framing
  15. Like if you go outstation and you get low on fuel? Does the manual suggest only or require 95? Haven't seen octane related problems other than in GDI engines where a check engine error comes up. Otherwise usually the timing is retarded as the engine may start knocking. Btw, you meant for a GRJ150?
  16. If you spent so much and got a vehicle as such, why do you want to pump 90 Oct anyway? And if your owners manual recommends 95? Engine knocking, reduced power output etc., others will elaborate.
  17. You're welcome! As you had asked, did some proper calculation and it shows that the total final tax on any petrol motorcycle is 66.5% of the CIF. So your calculation should be accurate after all overheads as the retail price. Here's the full tax table for bikes, quite useless as only codes differ and tax is all the same except for electric bikes.
  18. Well the dude asked about tax for a bike, so just gave him that Anyway, as I asked on the parallel thread, any more info on the CBR250? Think you know about them Honda bikes a lot right?
  19. Stiggy bro, don't you think a GT35 is a bit too big for a drift machine? Drags, yup sure but this needs response and handling more than raw power as I know, so sorting out the suspension, brakes and some lightweight forged internals being on top of the list is my guess
  20. As concerns regarding the quality of the thread being ruined were brought up, you can find the reply here http://forum.autolanka.com/index.php?/topic/3353-post-whoring-part-2/page__view__findpost__p__152929
  21. OT: It kinda rhymes if you use a*s*s too To answer the original question - More than you can afford, probably The relevant HS Code for taxes is 8703.24.51 which gives ~58% total tax from the CIF. Assuming you get the car cheaper than the list price from an auction, and the total actual CIF is ~5.6M and can't be bothered looking up depreciation so tax is ~3.3M, which gives a rough value of 8.9M for a hybrid Toyota Crown before luxury taxes and so on... Maybe Peri can merge all the 'how much is this car in this site' topics which spawned like frogs in the past few weeks into one?
  22. LOL No problem, I edited my post, he's offline
  23. Hi rock***
  24. What's the 45hp version and what's the 'restricted' 40hp version? Still confused on that even after lot of research, and most people selling these don't seem to have much of an idea about the years, model numbers, specs etc.
