Hi Guys, I replace the distributor o ring of my Ek3 before 4-5 months and now again oil marks are visible . 2-3 weeks ago I noticed oily marks between engine and the distributor. Now it seems oil goes through the distributor and leaking from the packing. I was not happy about the previous o ring change as the performance got decreased a lot and ignition sounds heard after it . Still I have those issues too and didn’t have a free time to attend to correct them . Any idea why it is happening again? This should not be the normal way, oil seal won’t be corrupted so quickly right? Most of the time I drive long distances in night, so I need the car in good condition, so this time I need to show the issue to a good skilled person to correct the distributor. Can anyone of you tell me a decent place to get the job done? And your suggestions are also welcome about the re-happening of the same issue in a few months. Many Thanks,

Hmm I don't remember the model no, but I can have a look and let you know. But the player I got, doesn't have the red color lighting but green color lighting. And it is made in Malaysia. If you go to the normal shops in pettah, you will end up with duplicated pioneers. Don't go there. But there are some whole sale shops in Keyser Street. I have mentioned the road map in a previous thread, I have posted the link to that thread early. You can find the place there.

You can get a Pioneer head unit which support CD.MP3 and USB Rs:10300 and 2 way pioneer speaker pair for Rs:4000 from pettah. For the good FM reception you have to buy an good quality antenna i think. I have no experiences with them, I used the original antenna fitted from factory. FM reception is quit good even in outstations.

If you closely look, CB3A has mentioned about his JB Weld work on 14th March and he is again posting here on 21st of May complaining that his radiator is leaking again. I don't think JB Weld is a permanent solution for radiator leaks. Best thing is to replace the top tank, if core is ok.

Recently I noticed that the center console is heating up for after 10-12km drive even. Actually I noticed just below the Hand break lever and the gear lever has heated up considerably. I just thought to ask from all of you guys before going for inspection.

As everyone says, the background noise is a headache with these kinds of cheap FM transmitters. I used one of like this a few months back. Although it didn't brake up, I just gave up using it due to poor sound quality. Then I bought a Malaysian made Pioneer CD/MP3/USB head unit for around 11000 from Kayser Street whole sale outlets about 6 months ago. I think it is better to go for a MP3 head unit rather a FM transmitter, if you need a good sound quality.

I got a interior detailing to my Ek3 from CRC kandy. They did a very good professional work. They have a branch in Seeduwa too. I don't know abut seeduwa branch, the manager in Kandy is also very good person, before they take the car they do a complete inventory check up about the car and take photos of all the tiny the damages places. I'm 200% satisfied about their cleaning process rather that other bullshit interior detailing places. I stayed there for 2-3 hours to see how they clean the car. They have all the tools needed and good mechanics as well. If you need more details see below thread;

It seems no hard shoulder in the express way. Where will the broken down vehicles stop? And if accident happened, How the emergency/highway maintenance vehicles move to the place where it happens?

I'm also looking for a good clean place which can be get complete tune up. I have a EK3, does any body knows a place?

There are a few places in pettah also who sell on whole sale basis, They have the original pioneer speakers. They are made by several countries like Malaysia, China and Vietnam too. Don't buy made in China items, if you are lucky find out a pair made in Vietnam. Most of the items they have are made in Malaysia, but genuine pioneer. I bought 2 pairs of 4way speakers (6"x9" and 6.5") from there for my car. Some of the popular audio joints also buy items from them. You can get the same item prom pettah for less money. But be careful mate, go for the correct shop. If you need the contact no I'll give them. For me it costs me less than 20k for all the speakers I mentioned earlier and for the Pioneer USB MP3 player.

Do you know the price of it?

Hi Guys, Finally I chose the 3rd option and got it done for 4500. The place I got fixed it has top tanks for any kind of vehicles which matches exact part no to original one. And they also import brand new radiators for bigger vehicles. And they have several branches too. I got it done from a small branch at Gamsabha Junction. My core was excellent, they cleaned it after removing the top tank and fixed the new plastic one. Two of my friends who used fb15 have got done the job from their branches and told me that they have no issues for 2 years now. Most of the places I visited said plastic tank can be found for Nissan models but not for Honda models. I gave up the 5th option as it cost 10000 with out fan and 15000 with fan. So thanks for your kind help all the guys. Will let you know if I get any issues with the new plastic top tank. Best Regards,

Hi Guys, I looked around today and found a few options. Here are they, The core and the tank to be made with aluminum for around 7000 To replace only the top tank with aluminum made one for 4500 To replace the top tank with Malaysian or Chinese imported plastic brand new tank for 5000 To replace the whole tank and core with copper for 18000. To replace the whole radiator with a reconditioned one which cost around 11000 with out the fan I am thinking of the 3rd one. What you guys thing and experienced? Will it last long? And the another thing I'm considering is the 5th one. Will it worth to get a reconditioned one for that price? And what are the things that should be looked into when buying a reconditioned radiator? By the way, the end of the day tomorrow I have to get this corrected. Thanks,
